Summary: Harmless, predicatable fun
Review: You know the premise if you have been near a movie theater or television set or video rental store in the past two months. I begin to worry when the slew of advertisements becomes a tidal wave of "everybody's going to see it so why don't you." But I was surprised - it was not a total flop and was even funny at times.

What is so wretching is its utter predictability. Joe Schmo inherits 40 billion dollars. Naturally he is a country bumpkin, though (thankfully) not the usual stupid Southern hick but a good old boy from up North. And of course he moves to the ultra-big mansion replete with English-style furniture, butler and an evil guy who wants him out. Enter cute gal journalist (apparently one of the two jobs that exist in the world of cinema) who wants a big story about the local yokel but - you guessed it - falls in love. Through a series of totally unrealistic but totally unsurprising events the good guys win in the end. We've all seen it, heard it, read about it before and yet it still attracts us.

Summary: Overrated comedy
Review: Mr. Deeds is a dumb comedy about a guy who is rich and has $40 billion after Mr. Blake died. Even though comedies are pretty funny for most people. I would had said this was so overrated. Usually, I find Adam Sandler really annoying than funny. I even hate Winona Ryder after her shoplifting. There were some parts that were funny. It was innapropriate for little kids.

I like it because... it was a little funny. There were some stuff that made me laugh.

I hate it because... it was really stupid. There were many curses, and I found it really inappropriate than funny.

What would I say? I say Mr. Deeds is probably a pretty lame comedy. It deserves about an average comedy film. I would see it once but never again!

Summary: SANDLER MIGHT BE ALRIGHT AGAIN
Review: BASED ON THE 1936 FILM ''MR. DEEDS GOES TO TOWN'', THIS MOVIE IS MUCH FUNNIER THAN I EVER EXPECTED IT TO BE. A PIZZA STORE OWNER [ADAM SANDLER] INHERITS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WHEN HIS DAD DIES AND HE HEADS TO NEW YORK. HAS JUST ENOUGH FUNNY MOMENTS FROM ADAM SANDLER TO MAKE THIS AN OK MOVIE. IT'S ACTUALLY BETTER THAN MOST OF THE ADAM SANDLER MOVIES THAT PRECEEDED THIS. REV. AL SHARPTON MAKES AN APPEARANCE.

Summary: Very Average
Review: The movie is fine if you want to waste a couple of hours, but it cannot be called good or great. It's filled with chuckles rather than laughs, so you will neither love it nor be totally disappointed.
Deeds (Sandler) inherits $40 billion in company stocks from his uncle. An evil friend of the uncle wants to make profits off of the stocks, and so tries to buy them from Sandler. The ending is not what you would expect, but it's not funny or intelligent or surprising either.
The whole movie is so-so.

Summary: needless rehash of a so so film
Review: this film is basically rubbish.there isnt an awful lot to be said for it. "features adam sandler" , "remake of old mr deeds film" "contains hilarious hollywood slapstick" speak volumes.why is mr sandler so rubbish,i mean goodness only knows how he gets so much praise.the "plot" is that some village idiot suddenly has a lot of money, only to realise he'd rather not have it.so he gives it away.full stop.so wheel out a lot of old relic plotlines, jokes, slapstick, and romance.this film would be ok if it hadnt already been made seven thousand times.but its not ok.its dire.so dont buy it.and i have seen it,i went to see it at the cinema, goodness knows why though.0 stars out of 5,because it lacks plotline, decent humour, originality, and features adam sandler.

Summary: A few good laughs...
Review:

But not good for repeated viewings like Happy Gilmore. This movie is a bit wooden, especially Winona Ryder's performance. Ick. Adam Sandler is (surprise, surprise) a lovable goofball named Deeds, a pizzeria owner/wannabe greeting card writer who inherits a fortune from an uncle he didn't know he had. He brings a childlike charm to the proper household and meets tabloid reporter Babe Bennett (Ryder), who lies to Deeds to gain his trust so she can get the scoop about him. When her ruse is exposed, Deeds turns his back on her (but not for long). The ending is a bit strange and a letdown - the real heir is revealed, so Deeds returns to small town life with Babe. Aww...happy ending, another formula Sony movie. The true comic gems are Steve Buscemi, Conchata Ferrel and John Turturro ("You underestimate my sneakiness") in bit roles.

Summary: Oh where oh where has "Mr. Deeds" gone?... to Crapville, USA
Review: I didn't really know there was a old "Mr. Deeds" film starring Frank Capra, Jr. Well sorry Frankie, Adam Sandler really screwed you with this bland, horribly written remake.

Sandler is not really the problem, he's talented, but it's the people around Sandler that turned this movie to a piece of junk. I'm so stupid that when I saw this in theatres, I kind of liked it. That's because I was stupid then, and not now.

This film gets dumber and dumber. The plot has Sandler as Longfellow Deeds, a pizza maker and wannabe poet who inherits $40 billion dollars from a dead uncle. Who has $40 billion dollars, honestly? Oh yeah, Bill Gates. I don't want to tell the rest of the plot because it's not worth telling. The film has shoplifter Winona Ryder(sorry) as a journalist falling for Deeds. Ryder is not good, because the film is not good!

This crap has too many stupid jokes that it would make a 5-year old go away. I could smell crap just by looking at this film. Sandler get yourself new material, as well as new filmmakers, because this crap deserves to be in the toilet, not on TV.

Summary: A total waste of time
Review: I ended up skipping the last five chapters of this incredibly stupid movie, and still feel like I wasted 45 minutes. Hopefully I can sell mine before the used price gets below a dollar.

Summary: Adam Sandler's Back!
Review: Adam Sandler and Mr Deeds are back in this feel-good, come-back movie from Little Nicky. This comedy is sure to keep you laughing.

Longfellow Deeds, owner of a pizza parlor, goes to New York City to inherit $40 billion from a long lost uncle. Deeds, a small-town guy, gets the royal treatment as he waits to sign for the inheritance. While touring the Big City, he meets a small-town school nurse named Pam Dawson. They spend time together and ending up falling for one another, just when Deeds realizes that Pam is actually a journalist reporting about Deeds' money.

The setting is nearing the colder days of autumn. Mr Deeds is partially set in the small town of Mandrake Falls, New Hampshire, where Deeds lives. He then travels to New York City and spends a great deal of time there. He also makes a few stops while on his trip, one of which is to Winchestertonfieldville, Iowa, where Pam has grown up. The other stop happens to be a Wendys.

The characters in this movie were fit for their roles. Adam Sandler is great at acting as a small-town guy whose life is devoted to writing greeting cards, delivering pizza, and simply helping others. Winona Ryder plays the role of Babe Bennett, a journalist trying to get a story. In order to get her story, Babe pretends to be Pam Dawson, a school nurse. She does a good job of portraying a reporter in the media. John Turturro is hillarious as the late Preston Blake's butler.

This movie was very entertaining. After Little Nicky, I thought Adam Sandler's career was over. Along with this movie, Sandler has many other hits such as Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and Anger Management. I recommend this movie, along with these others very highly!
