Summary: It's a Snore
Review: Sandler's movies are hit and miss, and this was definately a miss(although not as deplorable as Happy Gilmore or Little Nicki). Sandler plays his simpleton roll by walking around as if he's half asleep and completely disinterested in everything around him. Winona Ryder's performance is actually painful to watch and you have a sense through the entire movie that SOMEONE, ANYONE else would have been better in the part. The only redeeming performance comes from John Turturro who plays the butler with the odd foot fetish with character and charm. Don't even waste a rental fee on this one!

Summary: If you like Sandler, you'll love Mr. Deeds
Review: Mr. Deeds is a very good remake of the movie Mr. Deeds goes to Washington. If you like Adam Sadler, you'll really enjoy Mr. Deeds. Sandler puts in a wonderful performance as does Winona Rider

Summary: Another Adam Sandler-type movie
Review: Just like other 'Adam Sandler' movies, this is a funny movie albeit one that does not require much of your brains. It is recommendable for those lazy weekend afternoons. & as expected, just like most (if not all) of Adam Sandler's movies, Rob Schneider takes a cameo role. You simply must NOT have any expectations to enjoy it. Happy viewing :-)

Summary: Winona Doing What She Does Best
Review: Winona Ryder stole the show. With conviction, she managed to steal every scene in which she appeared. It was a crime, the way she put all the other actors to shame, and a real trial to watch Adam Sandler unsuccessfully compete with her thievery. Judging her performance as Babe was simple; she lifted you right out of your seat. It was a felony that she received no Oscar nominations for this stretch performance...

Summary: Not that funny
Review: I really loved Sandler's fims (Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison), but this one was just, well...stupid. When I rented this I thought it was gonna be laugh-out-loud funny throughout the whole thing. I was wrong. There was only a couple of parts that really made me laugh.

So, 2 things to keep in mind if you see "Mr. Deeds":

1) It's not your average Sandler movie.
2) Winona should stick with the dramas.

Summary: Spectacular, funny... very enjoyable!
Review: I love this movie! Adam Sandler does a great job portraying a small town innocent in this funny film. I didn't know that it was a remake of an old movie that Gary Cooper was in (Mr. Deeds Goes to Town), which I'm now interested in viewing as well.

There wasn't a lull from the beginning to end of this film, the entire movie was filled with humor - without being overdone. This is one of those films that will be enjoyed repeatedly, with some of the most hilarious characters.

Summary: Sandler's Best Movie Yet--- from a die-hard fan
Review: Adam Sandler has always been my favorite actor. His movies are all similar, in which he usually plays a character who is either slightly retarded or a big loser. Nonetheless, his characters have all been hilarious. In Mr. Deeds, he strays from his normal character to a nice, small-town guy who owns his own business and is loved by everyone. Sandler proves that he can be just as hilarious when playing a completely normal character. When he is told that he has inherited 40 billion dollars from an uncle he didn't know existed, he acts as though nothing unusual has happened and remains the same guy who everyone loves. He goes to New York City with the managers of his deceased uncle's company and gets the rather stiff servants in his uncle's mansion to loosen up. You can't possibly have a sense of humor if you don't explode with laughter when an extremely old man yells, "BOOB!!!" in a hallway that echoes. John Turturro plays Emilio, a hilarious addition to the movie. His character is an adorably funny servant who befriends Deeds during his stay at the mansion. Besides being funny, the movie has a nice love story within it. Winona Ryder plays Babe Bennett, a reporter, and although she originally manipulates Deeds into thinking she is someone else in order to learn personal information about him, she falls in love with the compassionate small-town guy that he is.
Adam Sandler's movies are usually pure comedy, with the exception of few (such as Big Daddy) but in Mr. Deeds, he delivers just as much humor as we have come to expect from him, as well as a solid, wholesome plot. I give this movie five stars, and two thumbs up to Mr. Sandler.

Summary: Mr. Deeds-Great
Review: Adam Sandler manages to be funny and serious in a way in Mr. Deeds... Also in great roles were Jared Harris as the head reporter at Babe's company (He is the son of the recently deceased Richard Harris) and Allen Covert (whom is in almost all of Sandler's movies). You can spot Rob Schneider reprising his role from Big Daddy and director Steven Brill as a violinist. Turturro and Sandler are hilarious together, and this is a great movie to see with your spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend, whichever one it is. or you can just see it alone to cheer yourself up over something.

Summary: I care not for Adam Sandler but....
Review: This movie had me laughing from end to beginning! And I truelly.. truelly do not like any of Adam Sandlers movies...

This charming, witty, hilarious tale is about Longfellow Deeds.. A small town guy who runs a pizza place and tries to get his cards accepted by Hallmark..One day he reserves a visit from two business men informing him that he has inherited Blake Communications.. a 40 million dollar business...

he flies to NY.. meets a zany cast of characters.. "The disapearing..reapearing butler with a foot fetish.." The I will do anything for a story reporter. But, ohh god how did I fall in love with him?

And many many many more... I will have to say that the restraunt scene is one of my favorite through the whole movie..
