Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that Weekend at Bernies II could match the original but, like the Godfather II and Empire Strikes Back, it actually surpasses the original. Andrew Mccarthy and Jonathan Silverman are brilliant together and it's a shame they haven't been reunited, their chemistry is outstanding. This movie is an underated gem.
Rating: Summary: A great movie to help you forget the rat race of life Review: Picture this: It's Wednesday night, and you had a fight with your boss. Your significant other just left you. On the way home from work, you get a flat tire. Your cell phone battery went dead while trying to get a hold of roadside assistance, and to top it all off, you had to rush your kid to a supermarket bathroom that had a sign on it that says, "Out of Order." So I am guessing that you will need the funniest video you can find to watch. A movie that is also very unusual, with a lot of slapstick comedy. And one in which you can put your brain on hiatus while you watch it. "Weekend at Bernies II" is just such a movie. Even better than the first movie "Weekend at Bernies II" has some voodoo, and a couple of guys that think a dead body will somehow lead them to a treasure chest of money at the bottom of the ocean. You're probably thinking, these guys have to get a clue. I mean really, but somehow they make it happen. Bernie, when he was alive, was a rich swindler, who liked milking people out of their money. He just never realized he could cause so many people so many problems after he died. But that's what happens in this movie. Bernie goes parasailing, pulls a trailer with some people riding in it, and listens to head phones while underwater, amongst other things. And he does all this looking as dead as anybody could be. You will laugh so hard while watching, "Weekend at Bernies II" that you will probably forget your bad day. Wouldn't that be nice.
Rating: Summary: One of action star, Steve James' last performances on screen Review: Steve James, martial arts-action-adventure star (of 'American Ninja 1, 2 & 3,' 'Delta Force,' 'McBain,' etc. is hilarious as a Stan Laurel (of Laurel & Hardy) character in this "black" comedy. This is one of Steve's last performances on screen.
Rating: Summary: SIMPLY HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: this movie is a must watch if u wanna get out of those moody blues..........if u wanna laugh get this one....every moment is worth it.......a dancing dead body........wat cud be better!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: GREAT!!! Review: THIS MOVIE IS BETTER THAN GONE WITH THE WIND. IT IS LIKE 100 MAGICAL TREATS WITH THE CANDY FILLING!
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: This movie really falls short compared to the original. Although there are a few funny moments if you've seen the first one I think you'll be disappointed. Having said that it's still a good film.
Rating: Summary: Overall, A GOOD MOVIE! Review: This movie was ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! I think Andrew McCarthy is very good actor and he backs it up with his performance in this movie. Buy both of the Weekend at Bernies movies if you can. IT's Worth it from all the laughs you will get from it!
Rating: Summary: GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE Review: This movie was so good, it had everything that a great movie needs: Slapstick comedy, a dead man walkin'(he probably gets more chicks than i do), and some nudity. Those elements together make the best movie ever made. Move over Titanic, here comes Weekend at Bernie's 2!
Rating: Summary: one of the worst movies ever Review: This sequel is a disgrace compared to the original. The original Weekend at Bernies were cleverly written and very funny. I own that VHS. Then the sequel comes out. The sequel is nothing but absolutely stupid. It is not funny whatsoever. I wish I could give it 0 stars.
Rating: Summary: Abra-cadaver!!! Review: WAB2 was not quite as enjoyable as the classic original. This is mainly due to the fact that Bernie, being a corpse for the entire film, is a cipher--little more than a prop. The physical comedy is still there (keeping WAB2 from being a total waste), but I wish we could have had more of Bernie BEFORE he died (perhaps a flashback sequence). His cantankerous (pre-death) behavior in the first WAB cracked me up. Terry Kisor is a talented actor (see his performance in "Friday the 13th Part VII, the New Blood"), so I can only hope they would consider making "Weekend at Bernie's: Episode One" which would expand on what Bernie was like when he was still alive. They obviously can't make another sequel; Bernie would be pretty decomposed by now.
