Summary: Touching and funny
Review: Robin Williams shines in this touching movie. I never thought Tom Shadyac (The Nutty Professor, Liar Liar, Ace Ventura) could make a drama so touching, He's usually an expert in making you laugh till you loose the feeling in your stomach, but he proved that he's a genius in everything he does. Excellent script. Brilliant direction. Touching and hilarious performance by Williams. And you get to see that cutie pie Monica Potter (Con Air). She's so sweet.

Summary: Patch Adams' theories can even be applied to MUSIC THERAPY!!
Review: My fiancee Jeff (Orchestra Teacher)loved this movie so much that he bought the book after we had already seen the movie. We feel that this movie & book can help not only the medical community but educators too! Why can't we use humor in education? Maybe humor could change the world.....

Summary: Helps kids realize that there is hope and not to give up.
Review: There are two reactions that Patch Adams wants you to encounter: Those who are inspired by the true story of a troubled man who finds happiness in helping others and a man who's set on changing the world and who may well accomplish the task. And then there are those who feel manipulated by this story, who want to kill the young medical student, Patch, every time he begins his silly antics. Hunter Adams commits himself into a psychiatric ward, where he not only relishes the nickname "Patch," but learns the joy in helping others. Because all the joy he gets from this experience, he decides to go to medical school, where he clashes with the critisms of the establishment as he attempts to apply humor and humanity into his treatment of the patients. ("We need to start treating the patient as well as the disease," he declares throughout the film). Robin Williams, in his major role, is as charming as ever, although someone should tell him to broaden his range. His sidekick Truman, Daniel London, steals the show with his gawky allure and eyebrows that threaten to overtake his lean face; he seems more real, which is odd considering that Patch Adams does exist and this film is based on his real life. The major draw back of this film is that the good guys are just too good and the bad ones are just plain mean. Patch Adams, though, does provide the tears, the giggles, and the fun people who will keep you smiling until the very end.

Summary: Phony
Review: The worst acting I have ever seen. I didn't believe a bit of the end sequence. The whole thing just stunk.

Summary: one of my all-time favorite movies
Review: Robin Williams is wonderful once again in his portrayal of avante-garde medical student "Patch Adams." Based on a true story, this movie will arouse in the viewer a variety of emotional reactions. While realistic and not "happily-ever-after" in its approach, the story nevertheless elicits a sense of hope. With its fine cast and good acting, this is a movie that one could view several times without it growing old or boring.

Summary: A pure classic film! Great for the whole family!
Review: I saw Patch Adams in the movies with my best friend and we both loved it. It's a really heartwarming movie and it's actually kind of emotional, but I guess that's the whole point of the movie. Anyway, everybody should go out and see this movie. Robin Williams (as always) did a really great job in this movie. If you liked Robin Williams in this movie, then you'll love him in Hook, Flubber, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Jack. Try them-try them all! I can gaurentee that you'll love every single one of them!

P.S.: Robin Williams have been in many, many, many other films, but these are the only ones I can remember him in!
