Review: This movie is just plain funny. If you are a fan of SNL, you will love Superstar. I admit that Mary Katherine Gallagher is one of my least favorite skits from the show, but this move REALLY surprised me by just how hilarious it was- The parts with the tree and stop sign were instant classics! This is just a movie to make you laugh, people over analyize it too much-- just sit back, relax and enjoy yourself, you will end up loving it. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars-- it's very good.

Review: You've gotta see this dvd!! It is the GREATEST!!! It stars the hliarious Molly Shannon and Will Ferrel from Saturday Night Live. It is a movie about a geeky and very clumsy Catholic school-girl who has all her life wanted to be a superstar so that she could get a "big fireworks hollywood type kiss". So she trys out for a talent contest at school to try and meet her goal. I don't wanna give anything away, but that's basically what it's about... Anyway, I think it's a GREAT movie. I schedule my time to watch it every night at least 4-5 times a week! It's a MUST-HAVE for ALL comedy lovers!!! Gives you PLENTY of laughs!!! :)

Summary: The best movies ever made in history
Review: This movie is the best movie ever made. This movie is filled with memeorable quotes, including Father Ridley's sermon-esque opinions about VD. Also it is a really positive story Mary went from having a bad self image to not caring what anyone thinks of her. Also Molly Shannon is just an amazing actress and commedianne. She can do no wrong when it comes to comedy. I would say that if you have a true sense of humor, you will enjoy this movie.

Summary: Funny, but not for everyone...
Review: Being the SNL fan that I am, I eagerly rushed to Blockbuster as soon as "Superstar" appeared on the shelves. I rented the film to watch at my little sister's 8th birthday party, thinking that I, along with my sister and her friends, would love it. Well, I was partly right. My sister and her pals found the entire movie irresistibly, stomach-grippingly hilarious, though they did not understand all the jokes (example: the "Let's Fight Venereal" Talent Show). Though there were plenty of funny bits (such as the "Tree Scene," the cafeteria dance number, the Mary vs. Evian fights, and Mary's talent show performance), I was not too impressed. In addition, the film was just too long! I do, however, have to say that I enjoyed Molly Shannon's fine acting. I didn't hate the movie, but I think that "Superstar" is basically just another goofy comedy for slightly immature moviegoers.

Summary: Superstar is Supercool!
Review: This was an awsome movie! Shannon was halarious as the unsure Mary Katherine Gallgher. Of course, as with most SNL sketches turned movie, the sketches on the show were better. But, there still isn't much to complain about here.I found it funny, for one, because it reminds me of, well, me. I'm a big movie buff, and I constantly find my self going around quoting from the screen. Anyway, it's not uncommon to find movies about high-school with actors playing the students that are in their 20s-30s-40s, and look it, too. (ex. Grease) This is one of those movies. Shannon and Ferrell look too old for the part, but we can pretend. can't we? All-in-all, this was an uproarious movie, with only very very few flaws in the plot. That's good enough for me.

Review: Superstar is one of those movies that you will never get bored with. It's one of those movies that you watch when you are sad. It will cheer you up within the first 5 minutes! The movie was made based on the success of the comedy routine on Saturday Night Live. They really should have made a movie about the Gap Girls before Chris Farely died. The movie is about a girl named Mary who does not fit in and wants to be a superstar and get a movie star kiss. The school holds a talent contest and the winner gets a free trip to Hollywood to be and extra in a movie. Mary knows that this is her chance. The dvd features are theatrical trailer,set up and scene selection. I would reccomend this for anyone who likes Saturday Night Live.

Review: if your a fan of will ferrell you have to own this. the other characters are good and molly shannon is funny as always but will ferrell is like the funniest man ever and this is a must have if you collect his movies.playing the "popular jock" type, his scenes are the funniest in the movie.

Review: This is by far the WORST SNL spin-off movie. I sat through the entire movie without even cracking a smile. Thats how un-funny it was. I mean A Night At The Roxbury was terrible too, but i at least laughed a few times. This movie just totally goes to show everyone that the old SNL casts were 1,000,000 times better. This cast [wasnt good]. They are NOT funny. They try way too hard to be funny and it dosn't work. The "Superstar" skits on SNL were terrible to begin with. This movie was just a bunch of the un-funny skits rolled into one 90 minute movie that you will be sure to throw out. If you want a TRUE SNL spin-off movie from the cast that is actually funny without even trying, get Wayne's World, Wayne's World 2, The Blues Brothers, or Coneheads. I will NEVER watch this movie again. And if you are one of the people who think that this SNL cast is just hilarious, watch an old episode of SNL and then a new episode and listen to the audience laughing. The laughs decrease once this cast rolls in. "Superstar" runs for about 90 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for sexual humor, and some language.
