Summary: This will be a classic

Summary: a Great movie for a nationalities
Review: This is one the best movies I have ever seen. It makes you laugh, makes you cry( mostly from laughing). It just makes you feel good. Even though I am not Greek I can relate to this movie as most people raised in an Ethnic family can. I found Toula to be a likable person. I found Ian to be a wonderful man. In the scene already mentioned about him wanting to take Toula to Dancing Zorba's She mentioned that she was the doughty waitress, to which he replied " I don't remember a doughty waitress I just remember a waitress". Showing that he cared more about what was inside that what she looked like outside.

I found Michael Constainte, Laine Kazan and Andrea Martin to be awesome in there roles. And much to my surprise even though he had a small role I found Joey Fatone (N'Sync) to be excellent

Rent, Buy or run out to you local theater and see this movie you will not regret it

Summary: "Poli kala" -- Very good!
Review: When this movie first hit the theatres, I had to travel 40 miles to find a theatre that played it. Needless to say, that was the first time I saw this movie and have since seen it 8 more times. This is a DVD I will pre-order.

I'm Greek -- so of course I can relate to the storyline.

This is the first movie in years that I can bring my parents to see without wondering about language, violence and nudity. This movie proves that you need none of that in order to be a hit!

Summary: Pure Entertainment
Review: Went to this movie not quite sure what to expect, and was thoroughly enchanted and entertained. Plan to own either a VHS or DVD when it becomes available. Older movies of years ago like An Affair to Remember for example, left much to our imagination and each time I view, and that has to be at least 100 times, I cry, laugh and forget where I am. Greek wedding instills the same type of enchantment. I realize I am bias, but for a while due to the graphic sex, senseless violence and the crude, vulgar language, stopped attending movies for a long time. I do not consider myself a prude, but to pay to go see filth when you can stand outside many highschools and hear the same thing or just in a crowd of people, anything that gives me pleasure such as this movie, captures my attention. Hope that the movie industry will take note and produce more like Greek Wedding, but [I] feel there is little chance of this happening any time soon. Congratulations to Nia Vardalos, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks. Thanks for a wonderful movie.

Summary: Great entertainment
Review: A really enjoyable, light comedy. You won't strain under the weight of issues in this one. Great performances from a solid cast. John Corbett is a standout. Hope that his success here signals greater visibility since his Northern Exposure days.

Summary: my big fat greek wedding
Review: This movie was the funniest movies that I have seen in a long time. I saw it when it first came out and wasn't sure if I enjoyed it because of my greek heritage or the movie itself. This movie hit home in so many ways. I could relate to almost all of it. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD, so I can add it to my collection. Go Nia Vardalos! It's nice to see a movie you can take the whole family to.

Summary: Big fat fun
Review: This movie was so much fun to watch. After so much lazy, slap stick humor being sloppily pasted to everyother line in most movies today, my big fat greek wedding was a refreshing treat of origional hilarity. I just adored every little character and look forward to the series promised to come out next year.

Summary: It's all Greek to me!
Review: I went to see this film at the cinema with 5 other people. We selected this film by the process of elimination. I can't remember exactly what else was playing, but "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" seemed to hold at least some promise that all six of us would laugh.

The film was hilarious. It starts with the Plain Jane of the family, Toula (played by comedienne Nia Vardalos) as she listens to yet another lecture from her father who tells her how plain and unattractive she is, and how she is getting too old to get a husband (she's 30). Toula works at the family restaurant, and her family (and HUGE extended family) imagine that she will be there forever. And it certainly looks that way, until one day, Ian (John Corbett) walks into the restaurant and into Toula's life.

You have to overlook the fairy tale/Cinderella aspects of this film, and just enjoy it for what it is--a whopping good time! The interactions between Toula's family members are simply hilarious. I haven't laughed this much at a film in a long time. It didn't matter that the portrayals of the family members were grossly exaggerated. It was all done with good humour. I think one of the funniest aspects of the film took place when Ian's family met Toula's family--or should I say when Ian's family is swallowed whole into the Greek family machine. The character of the mother was particularly well-portrayed, and the combination of fascinated horror and stunned dis-belief were hilarious.

Summary: And I don't usually like love stories.....
Review: But this is one love story I could stomach. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is the absolute best movie I have ever seen. It was funny, entertaining and best of all, believable. After my mother and I saw it, we went back and took friends with us. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD so I can make my husband watch it over and over again too!

Summary: Best movie! Soooooooo funny!!
Review: This movie is the funniest one I have EVER seen. You need to be really ethnic to understand a lot of the jokes, and Greeks will especially get it. I am Armenian, and it's so similar to the way we do things. Every Armenian I know has seen it except a few. If you haven't, you either don't have the time or you're strange. See it! See it! See it!
