Rating: Summary: Lisa Kudrow is the woman!!!!!!!! Review: She is Phoebe on "Friends". She was Billy Crystal's wife to be in "Analyze This". She is one of the most versatile actresses I have ever seen. Lisa Kudrow is the best. Her comedy is understated and hysterical. This movie was a sleeper that everyone raised in the '80's needs to go out and rent immediately. Mira Sorvino is great but Lisa Kudrow steals this show. Don't worry, Lisa, I know you were snubbed by the Academy for the "Opposite of Sex" but you are the Best Supporting Actress of that bunch, hands down. See this movie. You'll love it.
Rating: Summary: See it for Sandy Review: Despite what most of the previous reviews would have one think, this movie isn't as floofy as it at first appears, but there's no reason to start desperately grabbing for deeper meaning either. All one really needs to know is that this movie will make you happy. Lisa and Mira are both very funny and have surprisingly good chemistry and timing together, Jeaneane is at her best as her stock cynic, and the great and powerful Alan Cumming is his usual charismatic and fantabulous self as Sandy Frink, who seems to jump into the scenes where you were just about sure your grin couldn't further widen. The "interperative dance" at the end is one of the funniest pieces of physical comedy in recent movie memory. Fun costumes, fun lines, a fun soundtrack, and a fun cast all make Romy and Michele a great movie for your collection, but the only truly exceptional thing about this movie is Alan Cumming's comic performance.
Rating: Summary: ROMY AND MIC... Review: VERY GOOD MOVIE WICH STARS LISA KUDROW AND MIRA SURROW. 2 YOUNG GIRLS WANTING TO HAVE FUN HEAR THAT THERE WILL BE A 10 YEAR RENION AND DISIDE TO GO.BUT THERE IS ONE PROB. THERE LIVES AREN'T THAT GOOD TO SHOW OFF -SO THEY LIE.AND WHEN A FELLOW CLASSMATE BLABS THE TRUTH.IT'S FILLED WITH LOT'S OF LAUGHS!!!!
Rating: Summary: it makes me feel squishy oh uh Review: all i want to say about this movie is that im the mary and your the rohda oh uh. im aing so much fun already oh me too oh uh
Rating: Summary: Pretty funny Review: I thought this movie was pretty funny.Janeane Garofalo as a nerd who has to dump on people to feel superior and always has something to say to Toby.I thought it was hilarious when Kudrow got hit by a limousine and bounced ten feet in the air!
Rating: Summary: Never seen a film with more feeling Review: The actresses were especially good and the whole thing was so universal with a strange feeling of nostalgia that could be felt by any age. The end dance scene especially illustrated this and the music "Time after time" in the background bought it all to you.
Rating: Summary: Simply Fabulous. Review: Romy & Michele are two characters that just scream 'sequel' every time I see this movie. Everything from what they say to the clothes they wear to the unique chemistry between them really caught my eye. Although I was just a little kid at the time , the soundtrack had a lot of the cool 80's tunes I remember. A perfect movie for a girls' night out, but some guys (including myself) liked it as well. The part when Michele actually showed some intelligence and rattled off the formula for glue really cracked me up!
Rating: Summary: Two Words: Janeane Garafolo! Review: Don't get me wrong, Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are fabulous, but this movie showcases Ms. Garafolo at her biting, sarcastic best. A very fun and surprisingly witty movie that will make for a very enjoyable evening--especially with a group of close friends. Don't miss Camryn Manheim from "The Practice" as Toby.
Rating: Summary: Janeane Garofalo is my hero. Review: When you look at the case of this movie, you can't possibly imagine anyone over the age of 13 ever wanting to see it. The average intelligent film-goer would not come within arms reach of this type of happy go lucky highschool movie. And that's too bad; this movie is a SATIRE of other such movies, and it is a RIOT! Although adolescents may not pick up on this, its high humor will entertain them as well, making this one of those truly rare movies that can be enjoyed by the whole family because it works on multiple levels. I wish that the advertising would have made it clear exactly how surprisingly INTELLIGENT this movie is. An extra hat off to Janeane Garofalo (The Truth About Cats and Dogs, The Matchmaker), who plays the perfect grounded, cynical contrast to the air-headed main charactors. Although she is (unfortunatly) only a supporting actress, she balances the film out perfectly. I haven't been so entertained by any movie (let alone one I took a chance with), for quite some time.
Rating: Summary: This is a really great movie. Review: Go see this movie with three or four of your close girl friends & I guarantee you'll have fun! This is a fabulous movie. It is soooo funny. Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino work together to create a hilarious movie that is perfect for girl bonding.
