Summary: great movie with so so acting
Review: I Went To See This In Theaters Not Knowing What To Expect From...Britney Spears Acting In A Movie. I Hate Britney But Admit It's A Good Movie If You're A Teen With Problems. This Movie Bases Itself On Real Life Problems Including Teen Preganancy , And Rape. This Movie Is Dramatized But Very Good. It Teaches Teens What Not To Do.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: this was an o.k. movie!
Review: hello, i have seen the movie crossroads and i'm not impressed. first Britney Spears cannot act whatsoever. (nor can she sing). if you want to see a pop star act. you should check out " A Walk To Remember". Mandy Moore does a GREAT Job in that movie.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: wasn't what i expected
Review: After seeing mandy moore, another pop singer, have a starring role in a WALK TO REMEMBER...i was excited to see britney spears with her own in CROSSROADS. i went to watch it with a friend and the outcome...big disappointment. for some reason, the storyline was weak. it was more of a mockery. i think it would've been a better if the characters had more depth...and the drama was all rushed. You didn't have time to develop feelings for the characters. if you want a more recent teen movie that will move you, i highly recommen A WALK TO REMEMBER. NOW THAT MOVIE IS A TEARJERKER. Mandy Moore does a good job by the way.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Much better than you may expect.
Review: In recent years, there have been many bad teen movies made. But Crossroads, along with 10 Things I Hate About You, Clueless, and Bring It On is one of the best ones in recent years. Britney Spears may have been the only reason it managed to attract an audience, but even non-fans could probably find something to like about it.

The basic story is of three girls who are best friends as little kids and end up drifting apart by the time they graduate high school. On a whim, they all decide to take a road trip together, along with a strange guy who may or may not be a murderer. Throughout the movie, they find out things they never would have thought were true, and become the friends they never thought they would be again. It's a simple non-complex movie, but a sweet movie that actually rings true to people in many ways. It deals with things such as sexuality, broken hearts, and following your own path.

Taryn Manning and Zoe Saldana, who play Britney's best friends, show they have a lot of acting talent and will be a force to be reckoned with sooner than later. As far as Britney goes, she isn't exactly what you would call a good actress, but she isn't torture to watch the way Mariah Carey is. Nonetheless, she gives a respectable performance, as flawed as it may be. And ironically, she is the least interesting character of them all.

This movie is a very good one, and will surely tug at your heartstrings. No, it isn't exactly oscar-worthy, but it is still a very entertaining, well-written, and fairly well-made movie.

Summary: Crossroad to my Heart
Review: This movie made me smile, laugh, and cry. Britney once again stole my heart away and took me on a unforgetable adventure through real life episodes. Though some of the acting was a bit well "tacky" Britney still won me over with the story and the character of Lucy. A MUST OWN!!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Always the mmmm....ahhh........she's never unsexy.....
Review: I don't care for this movie...it wasn't garbage......my g/f asked me to watch it...it WAS cute...okay...

Why cant Britney ever cover up her derier, or belly? Always trying to look like she's ready for SEX.

I wish that the first scene of her bedroom, her underwear had major streakmarks on it....sick of her always making herself look so...mmm....ahhh....more.......who cares if shes trying to market herself......cant she "market" her smile,? She is pretty! Do i need to see her in tight clothes all the time? Boy, Britney.....unconfident...you need to show that to be noticed? Sellout.

Summary: Nice!
Review: This is Britney's first movie. And it was a kewl movie. It was a teen-movie. I liked the story, I liked the music video. The only strange thing is....NO OFFENSE, Lucy isn't the right charactor 4 Britney.

Summary: Crossroads is a surprisingly good and enjoyable film!
Review: Crossroads was released at cinemas worldwide in April 2002 and was a fairly big hit; the film peaked at No.2 in the US and No.4 in the UK, making $40 million and £5 million in each country respectively. Total worldwide earning topped the $100 million mark - and what was the factor that made all this money? The answer, plain and simple, is Britney Spears. Crossroads proves further more what a superb money-maker Britney Spears is. One can only wonder how much cash Jive Records have made out of her concert tickets and records sales since 1999. I don't think you'd be considered a fool if we were talking hundreds of millions of dollars - maybe billions. I bought this film in November 2002 when I saw it advertised at No.1 in UK VHS chart. I was going to get it for Christmas but couldn't be bothered waiting so long! I scurried home with my mates and watched the film - for the next hour and a half, it was Britney Bliss for me!

Crossroads begins with three young girls, Lucy (Britney Spears), Mimi (Taryn Manning) and Kit (Zoe Saldana). The three are all about 10 years old and the best of friends. They decide to bury their "box of dreams" one night and made a pact to dig to up at midnight on the night of their high school graduation. Eight years on and graduation day is fast approaching. The three girls have since fallen out and grown apart. They all have different friends and different outlooks on life; Lucy is a real daddy's girl, Mimi is a tom boy and Kit is self-obssessed about her looks and one of the most popular girls in the school. At midnight on graduation day, they all reluctantly arrive at the spot where they buried their "box of dreams." Lucy digs up the soil in her high heels and prom dress (like you do!) and sift through their personal items they placed in there eight years previously. Lucy wants to meet her mum - Sex And The City's Samantha (Kim Catrall) who abandoned her and her father (Dan Ackroyd) when she was only three, Kit wants to meet up with her boyfriend who she plans to marry next year and Mimi is auditioning for a record deal. Lucy and Kit agree to tag along with Mimi on a road trip across the US, not knowing they will re-discover the friendship they lost almost a decade ago. Their driver is Ben (Anson Mount), a hunky sex-god who Lucy falls for instantly, but doesn't let on until much later in the movie. Along with $486, a crumbling car and a whole lot of dreams, they set off on a road-trip of a lifetime to re-discover, re-kindle and re-evaluate their friendships and lives...

The thing that I liked most about Crossroads was the way songs are mixed into the movie. The three girls sing in the car along with songs such as N'Sync's Bye Bye Bye, Sheryl Crowe's If It Makes You Happy and Shania Twain's Man! I Feel Like A Woman! When Lucy's on her own, she sings Madonna's Open Your Heart in just her underwear at the start of the film (a high point for many a male viewer!) and Britney's massive hits I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman, Overprotected and I Love Rock 'N' Roll are all worked into the film by means of karaoke singing and diary writing. The director (Tamra Davis) knows Britney Spears is the star of the film and makes sure you remember that fact, as Lucy seems to get the most attention and camera-time. Many people complain that the film is too unsuitable for children, the main audience that the film is directed towards. Lucy plans to lose her virginity on her prom night with Henry (Justin Long), but realises she should do it with someone she feels comfortable with and when she actually feels ready - not just to prove a point to the entire high school population. Many people fail to realise that this makes a point in itself. It's telling young girls that they should save themselves for someone they love. Romance beckons for Lucy and Ben as they share a kiss many a time. In the end, Lucy's dad comes to pick her up and the road-trip is over.

OVERALL GRADE: 7/10

Crossroads is a film that isn't based on the final outcome - it's more centered around the things that happen in-between such as re-discovered friendships. If you plan on watching the film for the final outcome, you'll be disappointed as you have to evaluate the points made on the way to a possible outcome - which in this case involves Lucy singing for a record company. The film has many funny bits that many teenage girls can definetly relate to. I'm a boy so I didn't quite understand all the stuff that goes on, but I did have my fair share of giggle-time! All in all, this is a thoroughly enjoyable film and a must for every Britney fan! This film is a basically a heart-felt chick flick which can be watched over and over again without getting too boring or repetitive.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not as bad as I thought it would be
Review: I rented this movie one night with some friends expecting to get a good laugh (a la Glitter). I was surprised to see this movie was much better than I had expected. Britney Spears is the weakest amongst the actors, but she does an adequate job playing the cliched character of beautiful yet brainy Lucy. Taryn Manning and Zoe Zaldana are actually highlights of the film playing Kit (the beautiful engaged friend) and Mimi (the white trash pregnant friend) respectively. It was too bad the movie couldn't focus more on those 2 as opposed to Lucy and her roamnce with Ben. The movie also would have been much better if there weren't so many "excuses" to feature Britney Spears singing in the movie.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: May be the worst piece of cinematic trite I have ever seen!!
Review: First of all I want to say that I have been a Britney Spears fan from before she became god's gift to pop music, so my view is fairly objective. Secondly, if I could give this film 0 stars, I would. The acting in this film is deplorable, the characters are a bunch of talking heads, and the story is far past the point of ridiculous. Britney and Anson Mount have zero chemistry in the love scene in the film. Perhaps the best part of the movie is in the beginning when virginal Lucy (Britney's character) and the scared high school boy (obviously also a virgin) who wanted to sleep with her after the prom were fumbling around in a hotel bedroom. At least that part came off as funny, because the rest of the film was trite.
