Summary: Devilishly good fun from Fraser and Hurley
Review: If you're looking for a light, screwballish comedy, this will fit the bill. The premise is predictable, but ripe with opportunities. Dweebish Elliot, marvelously played by Brendan Fraser, trades his soul to the Devil for seven wishes. The twist here is that each wish lands Elliot in a whole different world - Columian drug lord, NBA star, etc. In each scenario Fraser basically creates a whole new character, and principal members of the supporting cast also appear in revamped personas. Not only is it an impressive show of the actors' versitility, but it makes for a very funny movie. As funny as all the different wish lives are, the best parts of the movie are the connecting scenes where Elliot and the Devil plan the next wish. Elizabeth Hurley has a wonderful time as the Devil, and this is the perfect vehicle for her wicked sense of humor. This is also a movie where you really appreciate the work of the costume and make-up crews. Everything from Hurley's devilishly funny costumes to Fraser's repeatedly revamped features really contribute to the humor of the movie. All in all, a very appealing movie.

Review: I picked this at a video rental store, not expecting much, i just wanted a good laugh... i had more than a good laugh, liz hurley made the perfect devil! she knew exactly how to play the part... it seemed made for her.
You've read all the above reviews,so you know what its about - a hopeless excuse for a man who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for 7 wishes, which he hopes to use in order to secure alison. nobody has told you what happens at the end, so you might as well watch it for that.
Deliberatly cheesy and unnexpectedly witty, this is the kind of light hearted easy going movie that everyone is bound to enjoy in their own way - you cant not find it funny!
If your reading this review, you must have at least heard of this movie before and thought about watching it, well, now you know why you should watch it... and i can see no reason why you shouldnt.

Summary: Engaging Faustian comedy
Review: Elliot, a hopeless office-worker (Fraser) is desperately in love with a co-worker who refuses to even acknowledge his existence, let alone return his affections, until he is proposition by the Devil herself (the gorgeous Elizabeth Hurley) into selling his soul to her in exchange for seven wishes. However, he finds that the Devil drives a hard bargain, as the wishes she grants him leave her to exploit a number of loopholes, all to his disadvantage. When he wishes to be rich and powerful, she turns him into a Latin American drug dealer who is the target of rival mobs. When he wishes to be smart and intellectual, the Devil grants him the wish, with the vitriolic touch of making him a successful novelist with a closet gay lover. The situations are cleverly and amusingly orchestrated, as Elliot finds himself not only battling for his love, but also for his soul, which he has forfeited to the Devil in exchange for some very shady returns. The film, though, for all its charm, does not go deeply into the philosophical and theological dimension of temptation and redemption, but has a number of good laughs, for all its worth.

Summary: Bedazzled Dazzles America!
Review: Bedazzled is a fun comedy based on a story originally made in the 1960s. It stars Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley, two dramatically different people who amazingly go together in this funky flick. Elizabeth Hurley plays the devil-a perfect part for her considering her English accent and deep sexy looks. Brendan Fraser plays a dumb office worker, Eliot, (with no idea how much his co-workers hate him) who is crushing on Alison, a pretty girl co-worker who, unfortunaltey, is engaged. When the Devil approches him with a deal to sell his soul for three wishes, Eliot eats it up. He finds that the Devil finds holes in his wishes, and makes him miserable. In the end, he gets arrested, and ends up meeting God himself. It all turns out ok. Plus, he meets Nicole, a great match for him. A great family comedy, even if it's rated PG-13. I greatly reccomend it!!

Review: The movie Bedazzled is quite funny.It's pretty much drags on till Elizabeth Hurly comes in as the Devil.All the wishes are funny.I give it four stars because it could ahve been a tad better and the beginnging's not too good.

Summary: Much Funnier (in spots) than I thought
Review: As a hugh fan of the original Bedazzled, I had my doubts about this update. The Cook-Dudley version was more funny before, between and after the wish sequences. This version is just the opposite. The wish scenes(well, at least three of them) were the best part. The "Sensitive Guy", "Professional Basketball Player" and "Mr. President" wish scenes had me in stitches. The other wishes scenes were either obivous or were good premesis with lackluster writing.
