Summary: Uninspired Chick Flick Yawner
Review: Bridgette Wilson does a convincing job playing a fussy, demanding, selfish bride. But J.Lo can't act--she's poorly cast as an Italian (and has a big caboose, too). Matthew McConaughey is a joke; his twangy accent makes him seem goofier than intellectual.

"The Wedding Planner" might appeal to women, but it's not for men. The typical wedding jokes and been-done-before romantic plotlines are worn-out, and this movie does nothing to refresh them. There are many obvious plot holes (a wedding planner with no social life, a doctor who never seem to busy himself with anything not to mention the occasional patient). The characters are shallow and stretched thin over a plot that is not emotionally engaging.

This is a terrible movie. If your wife or girlfriend insists on watching it, demand a night out with the guys.

Summary: A Chick Flick
Review: I sat though this movie and nearly went to sleep, my wife ended up buying this one! The plot(pretty thin) hits you in the first 5 minutes, it managed to keep me awake with its little twists and turns. The movie focuses on the wedding planner Maria (Jennifer Lopez), who falls in love with (Matthew McConaughey) who plays a doctor (strech) who happens to save her from being cleaned by a dumpster (I wish), After going out with him, she is wanting to jump his bones until she finds out that he is the groom in the wedding she is putting together.
Through the movie, the characters search for what they see best for both of them, with funny results.
You bet it's not an Oscar winner, but one that you can watch again and again especially if your wife buys it.

Summary: Great movie!
Review: The Wedding Planner is the best movie I've ever seen. There isn't one bad thing I can say about it! The whole entire cast was wonderful! J.Lo was amazing! I would love to see Justin Chambers(Massimo-He was SOO adorable!!) in more movies, and am definitely going to see "The Musketeers" the first day it comes out! Wonderful, wonderful movie! I would LOVE to see a sequel! KatieBSBAC

Summary: A pure joy to watch.
Review: I recently saw this movie on Direct TV and loved it. Matthew Mcconaughay and Jennifer Lopez have great chemistry in it and both do outstanding jobs in the movie. It will make you feel good and help you believe in real romantic love again. I wish there were more movies out there like this.

Summary: SIMPLY INDESCRIBABLE...
Review: The first five minutes of the movie are great. It looks to be a sharp and sassy film. Then, the inevitable kicks in. Jennifer Lopez looks great, as does her supporting cast, but you can't get by on looks alone. Unfortunately, the entire cast is stuck with the screenplay from hell and a director who, apparently, was asleep at the wheel.

Bad script, bad acting, bad chemistry, bad movie...'nuff said!

Summary: Romance Lite
Review: Jennifer Lopez is a very successful wedding planner whose personal life centers around her father's Scrabble Club. It's a bit difficult to accept the premise that she has not had a date in 2 years, but that's what the script says. Though Lopez and Matthew McConaughey are engaging actors, the script does not give them much to go on. It is easy to figure out what's going to happen from the get-go, and these film-makers apparently worked on the theory that the best surprise is no surprise at all. Despite these obvious flaws, it's all good fun and all's well that ends well.

Summary: That Girl Can Really Sing
Review: A wedding planner produces weddings. But unlike movie or stage producers, the wedding planner is limited by one cardinal rule: do not fall in love with either the bride or groom and thereby destroy the very wedding you're being paid to produce.

On this premise we get a fairly predictable comedy. Jennifer Lopez,as unlikely a wedding planner as you'll ever get, falls in love with the groom. Meanwhile another jerk (other than the groom, of course) wants to marry Jennifer. In the end, despite the movie-makers' overbearing attempt to reach a happy ending, Jennifer, in my view, marries the wrong jerk. I think it's a movie that ran away with itself, frustrating the original idea. Since the original idea was to frustrate the wedding planner, it's poetic justice of a sort.

Just one of Jennifer Lopez's songs was played as part of the soundtrack. I think the movie-makers were afraid to fill the entire soundtrack with her songs. But why? They would have given the movie extra value. And at the very least, the typical member of the audience could say during the picture: "That girl can really sing, even if she can't act."

Summary: Barbie & Ken find true love in Shallowville
Review: This is the type of romantic comedy Hollywood loves - where the guy's sleeping with someone else when he meets Miss Right, and it's soooo cute and romantic to watch him dump his main squeeze for a new one, in the name of love! Against a backdrop of beautiful scenery, and interspersed with lavish wedding shots - how can you go wrong?

The movie opens quite appropriately with a Barbie and Ken doll getting married, and never strays from that level of emotional sophistication. So if you're looking for a shallow love story with shallow characters who make and break very shallow relationships on a whim, this is the place to be!

Definitely not the type of movie you hit "pause" for when you go to get a drink of water, but still sort of fun in a "Barbie and Ken" kind of way.

Summary: Tons of fun
Review: I loved this movie - although I have to admit, it's a chick flick! Matthew was adorable...Jennifer played a great character with pretty bad luck... Great for a date, or for a night when the man in your life is out of town...get the popcorn ready ladies - you'll love this movie!

Summary: I Discover Jennifer The Actress
Review: All to often I hear discusions about Jennifer Lopez's sexey style of dressing, her provocative dancing, and her singing - which I like. It did not take me, or my friends long to fall in love with her character. We never knew what was going to happen next. I chuckled, I hurt from laughing, felt the hurt people cause each other. It was a real feel good movie. It was a great discovery for me, and I intend to get additional mowies with Jennifer in them.
