Summary: Dont .... This one up Mitchell!
Review: Now thats encouragment when you need it. Well coming from the Principal after he was knocked out during the big fight, I guess you will take it. Jerry Mitchell is having one of those, Well you remember. Bad High School Days. One of those should have stayed in bed days. Honor Role student, Well liked by Students and Teachers alike. But it just takes one of those Days.Car trouble,Tardy slip, couple of trips to the office. Probably never even been there before. Until today.A new transfer student named Buddy Revell starts there today and he is big enough to wrestle for the WWF. And everyone has heard the rumors about him and no one is about to go near him accept......Jerry writes for the schoolpaper and well, There has got to be a story there. So the best place to talk to him would be? Why of course. In the restroom at the stalls. The conversation does not go too well and Jerry decides to leave but makes one fatal mistake. He pats his shoulder in a Friendly gesture an well nobody toldJerry, That Buddy is a touch Freak. That is to sayDONT! and now its on for Three O,Clock High. I thought it was a very good portrayal of some of the Day to Day struggles that all Teenagers go thru in High School. Hey if I can relate. The filmaker has done the Job. So if you went to High School, I think you will relate. Check it out. At least its not you going thru it.

Summary: JERRY IT'S TIME FOR YOU AND I TO BOND
Review: Outrageous and unbelievable this film goes from one crazy situation to the next as average and basically responsible high school student Jerry Mitchell is assigned the daunting task of interviewing new student Buddy Revell, a renowned tough guy. Jerry makes the mistake of confronting Buddy and then touching him. Buddy freaks out and challenges Jerry to a fight in the school parking lot at 3 p.m. Jerry spends the rest of the film running from place to place trying desperately to find a way to escape from the fight, including paying another student to threaten Buddy (he gets the money by stealing it from the school store where he is the student manager. Jeffrey Tambor appears briefly as the teacher-advisor for the store. Hilarious). Jerry ends up on the hit list of the school security guard (who refers to himself as "The Duker") and the principal and guidance counselor of the school. Events build up to the eventual fight...

The cinematography lends to the sense of anxiety and feeling of Jerry's imminent "demise". Joanou did a much better job with this than he did with the dismal vanity piece U2 Rattle and Hum.

Summary: One of the better school movies ever
Review: Perfect editing and camerawork make this the best of the myriad of school movies out there. Watch how the element of time is portrayed, as the hour of conflict nears. I watched this with my 17-year-old son. Despite our generation gap, we both laughed out loud at the film and related to the theme. END

Summary: A different view
Review: Personally, I simply can not understand why every time i open a movie encyclopedia to see the review of 'Three O'clock High' i am shocked to see it's crippled by the patronizing reviewers. I happen to have this movie at home and must have seen it a thousand times already! Not every movie can make you lough of the same situation every time you see it. This is what makes TOH a great movie. In my opinion Siemaszko is terrific. I mean - can you remember his expression when the globe failes to open the cash register-absolutely fantastic. Can anything else possibly go wrong for him? Jerry turns insane, he's done everything he can possibly think of. Besides being a great comedy (maybe tragedy) TOH is full of classic artistic elements- the threatning clock as a theme, Jerry's choice of women: Karen the blond, miss Farmer the lussious English teacher and old friend Franny. Voytek Dulinsky's dark office and The Duker his watch-dog of a security guard. Finally, i love the use of the camera-Jerry passed out after kissing miss Farmer with the clock spinning round his head-once again, SPLENDIDLY DONE!! Seeing that the director is a prot'eg'e of Spielberg did not surprize me muchh. (Too bad 5 stars is the best i can give. If it were up to me i would give it ten with two thums up!!!

Summary: FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!
Review: slowly but surely my favorite movies from the 80's are coming to DVD.LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN,YEAR OF THE DRAGON,AFTER HOURS,8 MILLION WAYS TO DIE,PRISON,WEIRD SCIENCE,are a few that i hope are on the way.as for 3 oclock high, well, what can i type that hasnt already been typed?good natured, laugh a second comedy that stands up to time.poor jerry(siemeszko)thought this would be an ordinary day(good thing for our hero it isnt!).his well meaning friends give him an unwanted class project-interview the new kid.seems harmless but the new kid is psychotic Buddy Revell(tyson).big bad buddy has a history of pujalistic behavior and jerry isnt pleased.while jerry relieves himself and ponders situation in boysroom, who pulls up next to him(hint-big bad buddy!)?jerry, not one to miss an opprotunity decides this was a good time/place to get the interview started.its a little cold at first and jerry is about to let it go and all seemed ok until..............HE TOUCHED HIM!!!!!!as soon as jerrys hand touch buddys leather clad arm,the tension was an 8.5 on the ricter scale.buddy freaks out and manhandles poor jerry, mashing up his sweater, breaking his watch and abusing his jeans in the urinal.now jerry has done it!buddy needs to release the anger and the only way to do this is to fight jerry at 3 oclock high!in between the ill fated bathroom roughup and the brawl for it all, theres romance, bribing, trips to the pricipals office,a robbery, and other assorted shenanigans.needless to say, jerry has to fight buddy.although the outcome of the fight isnt unexpected, the end of the movie is.im very surprised the director(who went on to do a concert film)didnt do more work,in any genre.this is an absolutely hysterical film that will have you laughing no matter how many times its viewed.

Summary: All-time great cult classic
Review: The critics hate this movie, bt who cares what they say. This is one of the pre-eminent "Oh, dang- this movie is on 3 AM on TBS" movie's of our time. I love the goth girl Franny in the movie- she's a real hottie. Three O'Clock High shows how an afterschool fight can reach epic proportions in a nerd's mind. This is a great high school film.

Summary: NEVER CHAT WITH A STRANGER WHILE USING THE URINAL
Review: the flushed jeans, the fist imprint on sweater, the broken watch,THE FIGHT IS ON(and its only 8;30am!)!!!!!Poor Jerry, your basic goodguy put into path of landshark by friends.where this movie lacks in a killer 80's soundtrack,it most certainly makes up in humor, acting, plot(albeit simple).its your david vs golioth with pimples.the 1st sentence in the reveiw is the set up to the premise.Jerry(hero)is set up to do an interveiw of the new student Buddy(who is no ones bud!).all hell breaks loose when a polite Jerry offers his hand to BIG BAD BUDDY welcoming him.this takes place at the mens uranal.when handshake is refused,Jerry pats Buddy on leather clad shoulder.UH OH!unbeknownst to Jerry,NO ONE BUT NO ONE TOUCHES BUDDY REVELLE!!!!!a mini beatdown ensues and the date is set.3 oclock high!!!there are many twists and turns and hijinx galore before the brawl.i dont think there is a moment that didnt have me laffing maniacally.you probably know how the fight ends but that not a big deal, because theres a surprise twist to the end.no matter how many times, and theres been many,i watch this, every scene still is as funny as the first.i hope this is transfered to DVD soon.

Summary: Very funny; I especially liked the library scene.
Review: There are times, I believe, when movie critics take life and themselves way too seriously. The movie "Three O'clock High", unfortunately, happens to be a victim of that mind set. The critics ripped this movie primarily because, they claim, it didn't attempt to make the bully (Buddy Revell) out to be a misunderstood, sensitive guy hiding under his rough exterior waiting to be discovered, as in "My Body Guard". They also didn't like the fact that Jerry, the nerdy hero, decided to fight.

I get the impression that these critics never attended high school, or that their high schools never had bullies. My school sure did. In the real world there are some mean people who just like being that way. Besides this movie wasn't meant to be a psychobabble special. It was meant to be a goofy, high school comedy, which it was, and a very funny one at that. Like the gentleman from Jonesboro, Ark., my teenage son and I really loved watching this movie and laughing out loud together.
