Summary: Enjoyable and Fun!
Review: I really wasn't expecting to think much of this movie. From the previews, it just looked like another dumb, cornball movie. But I really did like it. It was funny, heartwarming and enlightening. The trio of Stiller, Norton and the adorable Jenna Elfman really add to the movie. The movie elaborates on love, faith and the relationship between the two. And it was a great date movie as well (Both me and my girlfriend came out smiling). "Keeping the Faith" shows that a comedy can be made regarding faith and religion without being offensive or sacririlgous (unlike Kevin Smith's recent piece of trash, "Dogma", which I'm embarrassed that I actually watched.)

Review: Ed Norton and Ben Stiller are as great as ever. Good directing by Ed Norton and great acting all around. Jenna Elfman was stunning. Not only was she funny and very good but I thought she really broke out of the Dharma stereotype I thought she might have a problem with. and at the risk of sounding pathetic. I'd marry her tomorrow, as I am now completely and forever her number 1 fan.

Summary: Funny If Not Practical
Review: Is it practical that a Rabbi would allow himself to fall for someone out of the Jewish Faith? Definite no. Is it likely that priest would have similar thought as well? Ditto. What about the actors that play these characters? They give the impression of two average guys you'd hang out with in a bar. And in the case of the priest, he does make the appearance in one.None the less, this movie was made as a comedy and one has to take these off the wall characters as amusing parodies. The sight gags and the lines that come from Norton, Stiller, and Elfman are consistently hillarious over the course of this film. There are some interesting subplots which balance the comedic moments quite nicely. I enjoyed this movie for the most part as I do not need tons of realism in my world. Sometimes one needs to escape from reality as sometimes it does bite. However, those individuals who do not care for movies that parody religion, particularly Judiasm and intermarriage may be best served passing on this film. However, the rest of you should most definitely enjoy it.

Summary: Surprisingly Entertaining
Review: I'm normally not a big fan of romantic comedies, but I really liked this movie. I went to see it because Norton directed it and I've liked nearly all of his movies, so I thought why should this be any different? And it wasn't. The dialogue is really good--not the usual corniness that you find in romantic comedies, and the story moves at a quick pace that keeps you enthralled. I even liked Jenna Elfman, and I'm not a big fan of hers. Ben Stiller is, of course, as funny as ever, and Edward Norton plays a dorky priest in a great way. It's the actors that truly make this film what it is--they had me laughing at loud during numerous parts of the movie. Especially watch out for Norton's imitation of Rainman. Stunningly hilarious. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who needs a good laugh, even if you don't normally go for this kind of movie.

Review: Ed Norton directed this thing? I must say, I'm impressed. Good show, good show. He is such a sweet little priest. And Ben Stiller does an equally admirable job as a Jew. Shalom, my good sir! Jenna Elfman also amazed me. She's a nice girl. Even though she breaks Eddy's little heart! Oh, baby. So go out and blow 6+ dollars at the theater. No matter what faith you are, if you're something other than a cold-blooded serpent you should like this one.

Review: Edward Norton and Ben Stiller make great friends--Norton the priest and Stiller the Rabbi. Jenna Elfman never looked better than in this movie. Her glowing performance along with the respect and love you feel toward Norton and Stiller make this film a must-see in my opinion If you are down or just want to feel good, really good, go see this movie. The song HEART OF MINE by Peter Salett also contributes a great deal especially at the end. . . it makes you wanna cry, but in a good way. AWESOME FILM!!

Summary: Hail Mary! Hail Moses!
Review: To be clear, nothing thrills me more then a legitimite drama that moves the soul and causes the audience to reevaluate themselves and the world around them. However, with movies like that at an all time low, I'm perfectly happy to settle for a blissfully irrelevent comedy with plenty of topical humor, engaging characters and inane situations. That's what "Keeping the Faith" is all about. Although it tries, and usually fails, to be a fable about love amid the complicated world of religion and commitment, the jokes are so plentiful that occasional flaws can be overlooked. Edward Norton makes his directorial debut, and his in your face style of presentation might be just the thing we need to kick off the new millenium on a positive note. Norton and Ben Stiller play Brian Finn and Jake Shramm, a rabbi and a priest who both fall for angelic gentile Anna Reilly (Jenna Elfman). As you might assume, this causes trouble within their respected professions, as Jake is expected to marry a nice Jewish girl, and Brian is expected not to marry, period. The juicy roles and fascinating premise give the talented stars the chance to strut their satirical stuff, and for such marvelous character actors as Eli Wallach, Ron Rifkin and Anne Bancroft to steal the show as a variety of friends and family. Picking one moment that shines above the others is almost impossible. I don't want to give anything away, but be ready for gospel choirs, giant security guards, Indian barkeepers with Jewish relatives and awful Bar Mitzvahs. The gags fly so fast that the laughter of the audience muddles half of them, so finding something definitive will be as hard for you as it was for me. "Keeping the Faith" may not be the kind of film that enlightens anyone, but's it's relatively tasteful fun that leaves it's viwers with a smile on their face and a spring in their step. And for that, I will say Hail MAry and sing Haticvah until Madonna has a hit movie.

Summary: Did you hear the one about the Rabbi and the Priest?
Review: In what had the potential to be a corny, third rate flick, this film turned out to be simply brilliant. The dialogue was sharp, witty, and bounced with amazing realism! I felt like I was actually watching people's true lives unfold instead of a sappy comedy script. The acting was top notch as well- I especially enjoyed Stillers physical comedy. Although there were a few cheap laughs and slapstick thrown in the mix, the underlying story was very real, serious, and heartwarming. I really felt like both laughing and crying at the same time throughout the movie!

Review: I just saw this movie a few weeks ago and I loved it. It's really just one of thoes movies you have to see! It's also not one of thoes obviousw ones (for example where the preveiw tells the hole basic plot)there are plenty of times when your eyes are glued to the screen and you don't even know whts going on around you. It is very entertaining and Funny!!

Summary: The best romantic comedy ever!
Review: Despite what others might tell you, "Keeping the Faith" is NOT just a "date movie." The whole family can enjoy this film! The movie tells the story of 2 friends who have become "holy men"- one a rabbi, the other a priest. When the two are visited by their childhood pal Anna Riley, they develop romantic feelings for her! Although the whole film was spectacular, my favorite part was when Ben Stiller's character (the rabbi) invites a church choir to his synagouge to sing "Ein Keloheinu" for his congregation. It's hilarious! The plot, the great cast, and the hundreds of laughs make "Keeping the Faith" a definite must-see for everyone!
