Summary: Hilarious Update to 1963's It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Review: This movie is like It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World made by the folks who did Airplane.

The cast is excellent. A lot of people I know saw Rowan Atkinson on the poster or commercial or whatever and thought "Mr. Bean" and that was a big turn-off for them, but his part is small and quite funny, so fear not - this is not a Mr. Bean movie (in fact his character isn't even Mr. Bean this time - he is a narcoleptic Italian traveler from Napoli).

There were such wonderful funny ideas in this movie... It must have been fantastic for the writer, director and cast to bring them to life. A few favorites - the family on vacation stopping to see the "Barbie Museum" only to discover that its a museum to honor the memory of Klaus Barbie, notorious Nazi... A busload of women dressed like Lucille Ball from I Love Lucy, all in character, getting stranded in the wilderness... Kathy Bates selling squirrels by the roadside.

The DVD extra features are neat, too. There were some very funny scenes removed from the movie - they show many of them with an introduction to each one by the director. There is also a "Gag Reel" that shows mistakes, ad-libbing, accidents, etc. which is quite funny.

We have a pre-teen daughter and there are few movies that the whole family can get together and watch and truly enjoy. This was one of them - lots of laughter and enjoyment for everyone.

Summary: LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
Review: ...This has got to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. It didn't look all that good to me in the previews but when I saw this movie I had tears in my eyes and my stomach hurt because I was laughing so hard. And even after the movie was over I was still laughing hours later. My favorite line is from Jon Lovitz when his car is attacked by a biker gang and he says "Are you insane?! This is Hitler's car!" And the scene to follow with the WWII veterans will just have you rolling on the floor. Another highlight is the "I Love Lucy" girls. This is a GREAT movie. If the Oscars had an award for best comedy this would get it.

Summary: Absolutly Hilarious
Review: I had a debate with my wife before we went to the video store and rented RAT RACE. She said, "What's you obsession with buying DVD's? You watch them a few times and then they sit on the shelf! Why not just rent it and save the cash?" We ended up watching the movie about 5 times and agreeing we should have bought it-
This movie is stupid as can be, but it is hilarious. The casting is great. Each character is very funny. Cuba Gooding is a riot and a natural to a comedic role. Though he will forever be seen as BEAN, Rowan Atkinson is a scream and Seth Green is his usual brilliant self. I was surprised to find Jon Luvitz in such a funny role as well.
The ending is dumb but as a comedy you have to like this movie because it's fast paced and full of great quotables that still make me laugh whenever they come up in conversation. The DVD has lots of extras, some of which are pointless and irrelivent, but there is an outtake of the giggles that had me laughing rediculously hard. You'll like this movie.

Summary: hilarious and refreshing new film!
Review: Once in a blue moon, Hollywood produces a flick like Rat Race - fast-paced, full of physical humor and visual gags, and a cast of diverse personalities who all add substantially to the film.

Several different people from all walks of life are in a Vegas casino playing a slot machine when they each win a gold coin, telling them to come to a special meeting in the penthouse. It turns out they have been selected to each take a key and race to a locker in a train station in Silver City, NM to claim $2 million. In turn, the high-rollers of the casino are placing bets on THEM, for, as the casino owner puts it, it is "better than a horse race because these animals have the ability to think and play dirty!"

Especially funny is Cuba Gooding Jr. as a famous referee who made a bad call on a football game the week before and can't get a cab ride because the drivers lost a lot of money due to him! He ends up posing as a bus driver for an I Love Lucy Convention in the movie's most hilarious scenes. Cuba proves he can do both comedy and drama with equal aplomb -- he has a great career in front of him!

The best thing about this film is how it ends -- let's just say that you don't see it coming at all, but it is very inspired!

Summary: Great film AND DVD!!!!!!!
Review: This was a lovely film that I rented on vhs. A friend loaned me a DVD copy. LOVED it!!!!!

Film: 5/5 Fantastic and halarious
Format: 5/5 Hooray for widescreen!!!
Sound: 4/5 There's room to grow, but it could have been worse.
Picture: 3.5/5 I'm just saying this comparitavely to other DVD's.
Special Features: 5/5 It has everything I want (FANTASTIC deleted scenes, average bloopers, good making with interviews. "Jerry and Andy Call the Actors" is stupid because it's just the crew calling the actors for no apparent reason. They catch the actors doing things such as going to bed. That's not funny. This is a big waste of time. It even bad for a phone call.)

A-; well worth a rental

Summary: hilarious flick
Review: In this day and age of generic, politically correct, mismatched buddy sequel bound comedies, what a revelation this movie is.
Brilliantly simple plot involves a bunch of bored with traditional gambling millionares, who decide to get involved in racing.Human racing, nontheless, orchestrated by hillariously over the top John Cleese. So,a bunch of ordinary folk is pulled from a casino by winning golden coins and set out on a race to 2 million dollars. The means by which they choose to travel, the situations they find themselves in,the wackos the meet and all the things that go wrong along the way provide for a great comedy.A movie features a terrific ensemble cast with the likes of Jon Lovitz and Whoopi Goldberg and a bus of Lucy's impersonators. The dvd features some very funny deleted scenes and the making of.You just can't go wrong with this one.
For my money it's hands down one of the best comedies around and a worthy addition to any collection.

Summary: The Funnest Quest Movie Since Cannonball Run
Review: Rat Race is the most hilarious film ever made by the Zucker Bros. The funniest part about this film are Vince Vieulf and Seth Green as the two brothers one of which tried to pierce his own tongue But All In All Rat Race is 2 hours of crazy comedy and is my pick for Funniest Movie of the 21st Century

Summary: A wacky romp
Review: I bought this movie because it looked like an update of "it's a mad mad mad mad world ( I think I got all the mads in there)". Kind of the same theory, but a reasonably different movie. What would you do if you were challenged to race a bunch of strangers for a big pile of loot? Well I would recomend staying away from friends, family, cows, collectable cars, barbie dolls; or any other seemingly safe object you can think of...and just go back home. That is unless you really really think you can beat all those loosers to the jackpot. O and if you have a bunch of cash just lying around, and feel like making a bet...allways bet the no pass block. The safest bet is that the high-roller will loose.
