Summary: A 'view with friends' classic
Review: Some close friends introduced this gem to me after we enjoyed a wonderful day at Santa Anita. Good friends and good movies... what a combo.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Outstanding - will buy when it comes out on DVD!
Review: A friend of mine loaned me his well-worn VHS copy 3 years ago. I've been waiting ever so patiently for the DVD version. I'm afraid I'd wear out the VHS version in a year! This book has the flavor of Churchill Downs.

Summary: Let It Ride
Review: All I have to say is, "When is this classic coming out on DVD! " I've practically worn out my VHS copy!

Summary: God is in the details
Review: Director Joe Pytka says he was unhappy with the final cut of this film, but I find this movie to be a comic gem. Though the simple premise of this movie probably wouldn't excite today's studio execs enough to get it green-lighted, the charmingly eccentric characters are the real juice in this film. Some movies don't hold up to repeat viewings when you already know how the movie ends, but with this movie you enjoy the characters so much the plot seems almost incidental. Dreyfuss at his funniest! Most regular movie watchers don't even deserve a movie like this. This is a private indulgence for the select few who have discovered its charm. And a previous reviewer was right: Leonard Maltin must have had a wild hair up his posterior when he panned this film.

Summary: Looking for laughs?...See this!
Review: Let it Ride is a very entertaining movie. One I watched more than once! The cast is great, especially Dreyfuss. I'm glad I managed to see this movie in the theater! A definite keeper.

Summary: Need a laugh?? Not after this movie!!
Review: This movie is a classic. From Pytkas "federal express" commericals to this snappy, witty and totally enjoyable comedy. I'm sorry I haven't seen him directing anything else. But if Let it Ride was his only contribution to comedy, he done good!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: LUCK BE A LADY TONIGHT
Review: This is the one movie that I never get tired of watching. It's quick, it's witty, and there's never a dull moment! If you love to gamble, or love watching people gamble, Richard Dreyfuss will win you over! And if you are planning a trip to Vegas, watch this movie FIRST!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The movies' message is what makes it so important
Review: Within' this tale is what perhaps may be the key to success in the world. If the movie is studied there are invaluable lessons to be learned with life changing consequences for anyone who embraces the lessons.

Like many great films this one is subtle. Accordingly, most viewers will not appreciate the serious nature of what is being dramatized so well by the actors, director and producer. All are too be commended.

I don't want to give the lesson away but I suggest that you watch the movie again and again until you get the message.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the GREATS!
Review: This is the chain-letter of videos. I was given a copy and, in turn it has become the ONLY video I have ever bought as a gift. I have given eleven copies and every one of the eleven has been in turn lent to several other people, some of whom have bought copies to.....etc. If this film doesn't make you feel good, you must have a serious personality disorder.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Every Dog Has Its Day
Review: One of the all-time classic "feel-good" movies. This movie greatly depicts a loser's day in the sun. Great casting. Richard Dreyfuss is great as well as the rest of the cast.
