Summary: Wholesome
Review: My wife and I found the movie wholesome and romantic, reminiscent of movies we saw 20 years ago. It was enjoyable to see that Hollywood is still capable of producing a movie without excessive profanity and with no nudity and sexually explicit scenery. Thanks, Amazon. We'd recommend it to our friends.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Return to Me is an excellent film
Review: Return to Me was an excellent film. Although the plot became predictable early on, the humor of the film kept it interesting and entertaining. Carroll O'Conner and crew, and James Belushi and family provided comedy throughout and carried the film. The romance between David Duchovny and Minnie Driver was wonderfully acted. This is a great film!

Summary: WARM, PLEASANT AND ENJOYABLE
Review: I FOUND THAT THIS MOVIES WAS A VERY INTRESTING TO VIEW, AS IT COVERED MANY ASPECTS OF OUR AVERAGE LINES, AND LIVES, THAT MAKES IT VERY EASY TO VIEW AND NOT GET TOO COMPLICATED AND TWISTING, THERE IS ENOUGH STRESS IN OUR LIVES AS IS THEREFORE ITS VERY ENTERTAINING AS IT MOVES THRU THE MOVIE PLOT. THE INTER ACTIONS OF THE OLD TRADITIONAL PEOPLE OF MIXED NATIONALITIES ARE ALWAYS PLEASANT TO REMIND US WAYS TO GET ALONG WITH THE MIXTURES IN OUR LIVES. I FOUND THAT AFTER VIEWING THIS MOVIE AND LEAVING THE THEATHER IN A SATISFING WAYS. I THINK THAT ITS A GOOD FAMILY ENTERTAINING MOVIE TO SEE. VERY SATISFIED. GOOD LINES, COMICAL, SAD, LOVE AND HEART WARMING.

Summary: Rainy weekend? Watch this!
Review: As the movie starts, we realize how Hollywood can get us fooled. A zoo keeper and a construction worker live in a gorgeous house and attend gala events, while a girl with cardiac problems manages to be cheerful and still look pretty with all that pale make-up. "Return to Me" has all the ingredients to make it to the back shelf of the video store joining other romantic comedies. But it doesn't. With smart lines, you are surprised by your own laughter--and when you least expect, tears are accumulating in the corner of your eye. This movie is not a breakthrough in the art of motion pictures, and it probably will never get any Oscars, but for a simple fun time, it's a good investment.

Summary: Return to me
Review: Can a heart-warming romance story still be viable in our increasingly complex, dehumanized world? Based on the reaction of this urban girl to "Return to Me", the answer is YES. The irresistable Minnie Driver stars in yet another movie that makes you want her for your best friend, sister or date. She and co-star David Duchovny create a unique sweetness that has you on the edge of your seat. As an added treat, Carol O'Conner plays a touching part as Driver's Grandfather, with a trio of other recognizeable oldsters. Truly a treat, truly a tear-jerker, truly worth your while.

Summary: Not bad for a chick flick
Review: If you believe in a cyclical universe; that there are no accidents; and that everything happens for a reason, this is a movie for you. This story of an unbeliveable coincidence that brings two suffering people together. You would almost think that the casting director was out of his mind having "Fox Mulder" play an emotional lead character, and "Archie Bunker" being the loving Irish grandfather to Minnie Driver (it always amazes me how she can hide her English accent like that). But all three actors created believable characters that worked well together. The movie is a bit sappy, but if you couldn't spot that from the trailer then you shouldn't be going to movies anyway.

Summary: Old Hambone Fest a Pleaser
Review: The big old hambones that are the supporting cast of this film save it from becoming a completely predictable tear-jerker love story. Performances by David Duchovny and Minnie Driver are solid and their characters are so likable, it hurts. But the real depth of character development (and a lot of laughs) came from viewing the old character actors do their schtick. Robert Loggia, Carroll O'Conner, and the two other old guys (actors' names not listed on this page) steal every scene they're in. Bonnie Hunt, who wrote and directed as well, and James Belushi turn in creditable performances. This is a film for the whole family, with something for everyone, including a couple of bowling scenes and a gorilla.

Summary: Return To Me
Review: This is an entertaining, mildly touching and romantic film. The character parts played by Carroll O'Connor Robert Loggia, James Belushi, etc. really steal the show. Duchovny and Driver are believable as fate crossed lovers in a fairly well scripted unusual situation comedy.

Summary: A great date movie
Review: A sweet heartwarming story. A great cast of characters and a lot of good jokes. I recommend it if you want to see something light-hearted, fun and romantic.

Summary: Return To Me
Review: I thought "Return To Me" was a very enjoyable movie. Some of the interesting points I noticed were the obvious omission of nudity and the "F" word. I feel MGM was brave to attempt to produce a blockbuster movie without these and should be commended for trying it. If for no other reason, people should attend just for an alternative to the ho-hum movie showing nudity solely to attract a certain segment of the populace.

The movie had a very good mix of music. The movie also had a very good mix of humor, sadness, and awakening to reality. David Duchovny and Minnie Driver were convincing in their portrayals. In their pain and anguish and in their joys and elation, they each shared their moments such that the audience had to be a part of the action.

The "older busybodies" (O'Conner and Loggia) were realistic. They each imparted the desire that the older folks that are out to be sure their wards and children get only the best in life. This intermingled with a desire for everyone's happiness.

The animal behavioral scenes at the zoo and the home were well staged and convincing. Anyone who has ever had a dog will identify with Mel.

The comments I overheard as we left the theater were praising and positive. In fact my opinion is that I could take mother-in-law and she would enjoy it. It was a very entertaining movie and I would pay to see it again.

I want to thank you and MGM for the opportunity to enjoy this movie before the real critics have a chance to cut it up and place their arbitrary rating on it.
