Rating: Summary: What the heck does Marshall Fine know????? Review: Soapdish is exceedingly funny, inventive, satiric and just plain ol' fun! Marshall Fine must have got a bad tub of popcorn when he screened it.Definitely recommend this flick. Field is her usual multi-faceted self, bringing pratfall comedy to a new height. Kline, well, he never puts a foot wrong, that one. I could watch him eat breakfast cereal and get chills. He's a consumate actor. Never lets go of a muscle until he's through using it. Morton Downey Jr. never fails to amaze me. He is so inventive and does so much with so very little effort. Can't wait to welcome him back from rehab. Again. Garry Marshall turns in a very nice performance on this side of the camera. Whoopi Goldberg is funny, Cathy Moriarty plays a psycho witch from hell, and Kathy Najimy is a truly unique comedienne, and always a joy to watch. Carrie Fisher is great in a small role, Finola Hughes just isn't seen nearly long enough, and the list goes on and on. You cannot go wrong with Soapdish...pure fun for any audience!
Rating: Summary: Incredibly Funny! Review: Terribly, incredibly, uproariously funny! The story of people who work for a soap opera and their lives are the best soap opera of all!
Rating: Summary: Hilarious Review: This is a hilarious movie. It concerns the actors in a Soap Opera who are all variously helping some members while trying to screw over others. And the cast is incredible - Kevin Kline, Sally Fields, Whoopi Goldberg, and Robert Downey Jr. to name a few. Every second is packed with perfect acting. It has a great story, some actors you want to succeed and some you want to fail. It has plot twist after plot twist, each making it a bit more insane at each step. Yet the whole thing stays grounded in the quite possible. If you want to see a movie that will have you laughing from begining to end, see this.
Rating: Summary: Hilarious!! Review: This is a really funny movie about a soap opera, and the drama that goes on behind the scenes. Being a soap opera fan myself, I found this to be extremely funny as the movie pokes fun at the genre. The movie centers around a soap opera titled "The Sun Also Sets". Sally Field plays the big diva of the set, a real soap diva (a la Susan Lucci) who is friends with the show's headwriter (who is played by Whoopi Goldberg). The backstage drama upstages the drama that happens on screen each day, and takes a life of it's own. There's enough deceit, betrayal, backstabbing and other soap staples to occupy a lot of airtime on any soap opera! It's a very satrical movie, and it's quite funny how everyone's dirty laundry gets aired for everyone to see! I have to say that Sally Field is the scene stealer though, she has the soap vixen part down PAT and it's so entertaining to watch. I won't give away the plot, just watch the movie and enjoy the scandal. The movie also features Kevin Cline, Elizabeth Shue Robert Downey Jr., Cathy Moriarty, Teri Hatcher, Kathy Najimy, to name a few of the superstars. A really funny movie that you will watch over and over again.
Rating: Summary: Funny, satirical, soap opera farce Review: This is a very funny movie, for it is one of those situations of the real soap opera taking place BEHIND the scenes of the actual soap opera. it's a little bit like the undeservedly ill-fated show 'Sports Night', showing the funny sort of backstage, 'real life' drama happening behind the cameras and all that. The movie also employs a few soap opera -isms into the plot, loads of backstabbing, manipulation, deception, hidden secrets, misunderstandings, betrayel, but all in a very farcical & comedic type of format that works extremely well. Plus it showcases the extraordinary comedic talents of all of the film's stars, including Sally Fields as a sort of neurotic Susan Lucci, Kevin Kline (who is simply extraordinary) Whoopi Goldberg, Cathy Moriarty, Teri Hatcher, Elizabeth Shue, and Robert Downey Jr. check this movie out, you'll love it.

Rating: Summary: brace yourself Review: This is a very understated comedy. It's full of one-liners that come one after another, the colors are great, and so many stars you can't count. I have sat through this 24 times and makes laugh so much every time, plus I almost know it by heart. You won't be disappointed
Rating: Summary: satire Review: this is extremely funny. It's a very good satire and criticism of the soap tv scenarios and apparent culture. Refreshing. I wish I could get it in DVD, and see some actors interviews
Rating: Summary: One suspects that soap operas are really like this! Review: This is such a fun video. Sally Field is darling. Robert Downey Jr. is at his best. Teri Hatcher and Cathy Moriarty are bitches in the finest tradition! As if this wasn't enough, Whoopi Goldberg is the icing on the cake. The first time I watched this video I almost turned it off, I thought it was so stupid, but if you find yourself feeling this way stick with it! The surprise ending is worth the wait!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Great one liners Review: This movie has as many quotable lines as any Monty Python or Mel Brooks film. "Hi, I'm Monica Del Monico, the neurosurgeon."
