Review: Loved the movie, bought the dvd and its in widescreen, its terrible. My favorite scenes, dance on the bar, all you can see is their middle, not faces and feet at the same time. It's not the same would rather have a TV cut format.

Review: What exactly is there to like about a film that showcases scantily clad bartenders and an unbelievably naive protagonist who goes to the big city to follow her dream of becoming a songwriter? Truthfully, not much. The writing lacks substance and the characters themselves are every bad stereotype come to life. Top that all off with the in your face marketing of the talents of LeAnn Rimes and songwriter Diane Warren and you have a less then noteworthy film. Despite all of the flaws with this picture, it's actually quite fun to watch. If you're looking for a light fluff piece to fill the evening, this definitely fits the bill. Afterwards, buy the soundtrack. If the first four songs are any indication, the entrance of LeAnn Rimes into the world of pop is a definite success.

Review: Acting, plot, and script were absolutely superb. Better than Basic Instinct or Saving Private Ryan. Should have won dozens of Oscars. A must own for everyone.

Summary: Dull and Annoying
Review: A small town girl who comes to the city to become a star is a premise as old as the cinema. Coyote Ugly is just repeating this, with a particularly annoying character who suffers from one of the most demented looking cases of stage fright I've ever seen. Jerry Bruckheimer usually does good films, but this is a case in which I would love to ask him what he was thinking. The only attraction to this film is a bunch of girls dancing on top of the bar, and the singing of LeAnn Rimes. He could easily have just made a few music videos and dispensed with the vehicle for presenting them. It would have done us all a favour.
