Summary: A Gem From the 80's, Great Fun!
Review: This movie is the best cross-dressing farce since 'Some Like It Hot'. Dustin Hoffman gives one of his best (certainly his funniest) performances, and is the real star of the picture, the movie's success is largely his. Jessica Lange and Teri Garr are also great. Bill Murray delivers a very funny performance. Sidney Pollack is perfect as Dorothy's agent, and he directs with great ease and comic flow. A brilliant Oscar nominated screenplay also helped. One of the few masterpieces of the 80's. Very funny and touching, great fun. One of the greats. Extras: spot a young Geena Davis in a bit part. From a scale of 1-10 I give this film a 10!

Review: Dustin Hoffman shows why he is one of the greatest actors of all-time in this funny twisted film.he plays his character very well.this film has inspired alot of other Knockoff films but this one stands out.it's as funny as Some Like it Hot with Jack Lemon.

Review: im so happy i already own this movie. i don't know why they would stop making such a great movie. it is my favorite. and if you've never seen it, rent it and be prepaired for the greatest movie ever! dustin hoffman is one of the greatest actors and this movie can prove that.

Review: A superlative example of how comedy can be successfully combined with warmth and pathos. The picture succeeeds in its honest depiction of the frustrating world of the unemployed actor and the mistreatment of professional women by ther male contemporaries. Film has terrific one-liners - One that is delivered to Hoffman's 'Dorothy is 'Don't you find being a woman in the '80's complicated?' to which he/she replies 'Extremely'. (We believe him! ), and terrific comic gems, one of the best being when in an attempt to strengthen his soap opera character Hoffman spontaneously creates his/her own dialogue.Don't miss the beautiful last scene. A classic in the sense of 'Some Like It Hot'. See it!

Summary: Fun time that makes lots of points.
Review: Well Michael Dorin turns into Dorothy Michaels and winds up a better man for it. So that's the big picture. Along the way there are lots of mini-plots. Like where Jessica Lange tells Dorothy she wishes men were more forward. So when Michael appears and gives her the line she supposedly wants, she throws a drink in his face.Great parody of soap operas at the end. If it was a surefire way to wind up with Jessica Lange, maybe some time in a dress would be worth it.

Review: This movie won't upset fans at all it has everything from humor to to parts that will make you cry. It was altogether a great movie. Lange isn't as great as people say she is. I don't think she deserved an oscar. But never mind that. She still did a good job. Hoffman did an awesome job. If any one deserved an oscar it was him. The movie came out great it was nice to see a prow copy. All I had was a ten year old HBO tape.
