Rating: Summary: Quality Comedic Performance Review: It's a shame that drugs, booze, excessive food and whores took the life of the best comedian of his era - Chris Farley. This is truly the last comedic gem that he put out. I have been waiting quite a while for Black Sheep to come out on DVD and I was pleasantly suprised when it was announced a few weeks back. Not a week goes by that me and my friend Donald don't quote a line from this movie or another one of Farley great comedic accomplishments. We miss him greatly, and appreciate all the funny moments that he made on his short time on earth. Two things died the day that Chris Farley passed away. One was a comedic genius and another was David Spade's movie career. God rest both of them.
Rating: Summary: Another one of the best comdies I've seen !!!! Review: Me and my brother Daniel used to watch this one DAILY. We laughed from beggining to end. I'm telling you, if you like those crazy movies that makes you pee your panties, than I think this one is probably one of the best. Chris Farley: My favorite comedy actor (rest in peace) stars on this one with David Spade. I strongly suggest you watch this flick if you're in the mood for "HAHAHAs".
CHRIS FARLY IS THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!
P.S.- If you loved this one, then I suggest you watch the following ones too:
- "Tommy Boy".- I haven't watched this one and it is with Chris Farley and David Spade. Some people think this movie is Farley's best movie he made. WOW. If "Black Sheep" is one of the best, then imagine how this one would be!!!!! For what I heard: 10/10.
- "Beverly Hills Ninja".- I watched this one and I think it is another one of my all-time favorite's. This one is another movie in which Farley stars in. It will make you laugh you're a** off.- 10/10.
- "Almost Heroes".- Farley's last movie staring with "Friends" star Matthew Perry (I love that T.V. show). Not as funny as the other ones listed above, but also one of my favorite's.- 9/10.
- "Dirty Work".- One of the best. Another crazy comedy staring Norm MacDonald and in "cameo" Chris Farley.- 9/10.
Rating: Summary: Slapstick humor with sarcasm and a little wit... Review: Mike Donnelly's (Chris Farley) brother, Al, is running for Governor in the state of Washington. However, Mike's desperate attempts to try to help his brother's campaign always turn into something destructive. In order to keep Mike under control, his brother sends Steve Dodds (David Spade) to keep Mike away from Washington towns in order to avoid future embarrassment. This, however, is a harder task than what Steve had imagined it to be, and things begin to turn ugly. Black Sheep is a comedy that survives on sarcasm, slapstick humor, and occasional wit. The end result is an average film experience that produces laughs, but not more.
Rating: Summary: Best Chris Farley Movie of all time! Review: Much better story line then Tommy boy, and almost as funny. Overall, I have to give this movie a better review than Tommy boy, considering that the story line was really lame. I seriously recommend this movie, it will put you on the floor!
Rating: Summary: contrary to popular belife this is better than tommy boy in Review: my humble opinon. yes. black sheep is the funnyest thing youll see this side of hong kong. ort maybe notr hong kong because i cant fing hong kong on the map. cn you? gag gag gag gag gag. funny.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good!!!!!! Review: Not Spade's or Farly's best but still funny. David Spade playes a smart ass limo driver who ends up babysitting Farly to keep him from messing up his brothers campain. The black sheep, farly figures out his brother lost the election to another canidit who cheated and try's to prove it. And it kinda goes a little bit down hill. But "everything will be okay", says Farly, "as long as I drive the speed leemit." "Dude! that's another one of thoghs freaky words!"
Rating: Summary: David Spade can't even defend it... Review: Remember when David Spade was still on SNL, and he and Teri Hatcher did that "Spade In America" sketch on Weekend Update? Well, Teri Hatcher was dressed up as David Spade, and David Spade was dressed up as Teri Hatcher. To quote Teri Hatcher (playing David Spade), she summed up this movie the best: "Well, you know, I did a movie called 'Black Sheep.' Maybe you saw it the first time, when it was called 'Tommy Boy!'" David Spade's response (dressed as Teri Hatcher): "Uh.. yes. I did see that. You were great, David. I mean, you are very sexy." What a comeback...way to promote your movie there, David. Tommy Boy was good, but this one was rushed out to capitalize on that movie's popularity. Fans shunned Black Sheep. There are a couple of scenes in which one may crack a smile, but all in all it tanked at the box office, it's rank in sales is 1095 spots behind Tommy Boy, and based on the fact that it has only gotten 39 Amazon.com reviews over the past 9 years, I think it's fair to say that this movie just isn't very funny nor entertaining to most people.
Rating: Summary: priceless and genious Review: saw this tons of time for rent on vhs
and a fair amount on tv
it's a priceless comedy
not only was I getting the hiccups from laughing so much at this movie
but the movie really touched me how the brother tried to help his brother out.
a great cast of characters too by the way
the performance by Mudhoney is awesome
I'd recommend Tommy boy and other Chris Farley movies if you're a fan. I have this on dvd and laugh harder and harder every time I watch it
Rating: Summary: Farley Bah-Rams-You! Review: The best comic duo since Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels is Chris Farley and David Spade. Mike Donnelly (Farley) is a clumsy, but good-hearted brother of governor-elect, Al Donnelly (Tim Matheson). Mike does everything to help his brother win the election by passing out stickers, buttons, and all good publicity. But since he's so silly, Al's campaign team hires a person to watch the lug from causing any damage. Many problems surface after Al's competition tries to frame Mike. A Big Brothers type of facility is burned down, smoking and drinking with teenagers, and more. Mike and the aide go to the woods to hide and come back down to help his brother. This movie is loads of fun and will have you laughing hysterically. Ozzy Osbourne makes an appearance and gets swatted at. A big boulder crashes into a cabin and Mike gives an excellent speech to MTV's Fight for Your Rights. NOS is put to good use. The 'Row-adds' were smooth and this movie is hilarious. Chris Farley is the ultimate comic genius and David Spade is just a riot.
Rating: Summary: Don't compair it to Tommy Boy! Review: The reason there are so many bad reviews of this movie is because when people heard that Chris Farley (RIP) and David Spade were making another movie together, they were expecting the comic genius that was Tommy Boy. This is not Tommy Boy! You can't expect Chris and David to do the same thing in every movie or it will very soon become routine. Chris's Mike Donelly character is a little less dimwitted than his Tommy Boy character and David's Steve Dobbs character is a little more dimwitted than his Richard character. But, I will say this, Farley and Spade proove once again that they are the best comedy team since the Three Stooges. Sure this movie has it's flaws, but it's worth a look.
