Summary: WARNING: MGM DVD BUTCHERS CLIFFORD !!!
Review: I don't ever write DVD reviews on here, but I feel I have to as a WARNING to true fans of this movie. I wish I could give this DVD 5 stars, I really do, but MGM for reasons I can't figure, have butchered this movie beyond belief !!! "Clifford" is one of my favorite movies, one of the bestest in the whole wide world. I was very excited when I read it was to be released on DVD. But some of the funniest scenes in the film have been cut out completely. I'm talking whole scenes. Why ?! What the hell is MGM thinking ?! I am continuously amazed and disgusted by how film companies seem to edit movies re-released on DVD, for no apparent reason. Columbia is famous for editing their release of Three Stooges shorts on DVD, editing out scenes as well. Why ?! I am highly disappointed, and if you are a fan of the original movie, as shown in theaters and on cable, this DVD will leave you disappointed and angry ... So what scenes are cut out on DVD ?

* The scene in the airport where Clifford is outed by a woman who knows sign language, when he poses as a deaf child, to collect money.

* When "Clifford's" dog "Sneakers" runs away, one of the funniest scenes. "Not my Sneakers ! Not the bestest dog in the whole wide world !"

* When Uncle Martin Pushes Clifford's Face into his bowl of cereal. "Oh, honey, be careful how you eat your cereal. Use a napkin. This Boy and His Cereal !"

* Among Others. Some of what I believe, the funniest scenes, GONE !!!

Butchered !!! Watching this DVD, for someone who knows the original, is a painful frustrating experience more than an enjoyable one. I got this DVD for under 10 dollars, but still ... I'm wishing I had just bought a used VHS. I may return it, if possible. When I bought this MGM DVD yesterday, I assumed I was promised the same movie I knew and love. My closing words to MGM, "Breaking a little boy's promise would be a terrible terrible thing. I would imagine the little boy wouldn't be responsible for anything he was gonna do next."

Summary: Finally.........Christmas has come early
Review: I have WAITED and WAITED for this movie. My family has said it was a sick obsession and that no way would this obscure movie make its way onto DVD; so glad they are wrong. This movie is an instant pick-me-up and never fails to put a smile on my face! It was this movie that made me fall in love with Martin Short and decide that he could be funny doing anything! It isn't a movie for everyone...my family doesn't quite understand why I have tears running down my face from laughing so hard but for those who do get it....this is pure genius. CLifford and Stefan's adventure is a timeless classic in my book!

Summary: This is the bestest movie in the whole wide world!!...
Review: I love Clifford! Martin Short is a genius. His ability to play a child is absolutly incredible, I admire him and his talents. "Larry the scarry rex, hes a scarry dinosouar, don't be scared of his sharp sharp teeth or his mighty mighty roar." I just don't understand how anyone can't find this to be the funniest movie ever made. I definitly give this well crafted film 5 stars and reccomend it to everyone!

Summary: It's my favorite movie in the whole wide world!
Review: I remember seeing this movie in the theater with my mom along time ago. I really enjoyed it. My mom thought it was cute. I thought it was hilarious by the way Martin Short played a 10-year-old and he bugs his uncle to go to Dinosaur World with him. It's so funny! I mean you cannot stop laughing you will laugh your heart out when you watch this movie. Go see it! It is boring in some parts but the movie itself is funny! There is a store where you can buy this movie but it still might be difficult to find if there is a Half Price-Books around in your town you could probably find it because I just bought this movie a couple of months ago at that store and they had it available for used. The movie can be stupid at sometimes but that what makes it funny.

Summary: SOOO underated
Review: I remember when this was at the theaters...only adult there w/ out kids and was rolling on the floor both times. Probably one of the best Martin Short performances ( though he may not agree ) Only wish ...DVD w/ deleted scenes and a sequel.

Summary: A painful experience for all
Review: I wanted to test the reliability of Amazon's reviews, so I looked up one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. Lo and behold, it somehow has 4 to 5 stars per review.

Since you've gotten the highlights of the best parts of the movie in the other reviews, here is my story:

I watched Clifford in the theatre when it first came out. That day there was a thunderstorm, causing the electricy in the cinema to go out, and the screen to go dark. We were very happy and relieved to learn that not only did we not have to watch the rest of the movie, but we'd also be getting a refund for our ticket.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Martin Short's BEST!
Review: In my opinion; there have not been enough roles that tap into the unique genius of Martin Short's humor with the exception of, "Clifford". My then teen children and I spilt our sides laughing at Short's work when we first saw this film! Several times we laughed so hard at a scene; we couldn't go on until we replayed the scene several times over. We were all in tears with uncontrolable laughter! All three of us still concider this movie to be among our most favored. Even if you are not a big fan of Martin Short; you will enjoy, "Clifford"!
