Summary: She eats carrots now, Isn't that tragic?
Review: I adored this movie! maybe there were a few too many shots of Babs but it was really well done. I first saw it in the theatres and enjoyed it but a few days ago i rented it and i LOVED it! it was so nice to see a leading guy that cared more about what was inside a person then the package they came in. ("I don't care if you are pretty, I love you anyway!") Its a great movie to see if you are feeling insecure about the way you look or feel pressured to fit into society's mold for the "perfect" person I just wish guys like that existed where i lived but any way this movie is sweet and funny and just different enough from the normal romantic movie to be interesting. All I can say is that this is a great uplifting movie and to go see it as soon as you can

Summary: Really entertaining
Review: Let's not waste words for things already said: I love this movie and it's very entertaining, funny, with lots of great characters (the supporting as well as BS). Love Lauren too!

Summary: Jeff Bridges - yes, Barbra Streisand - no
Review: Jeff Bridges was darling in the movie. I know he is a professional and would probably never say anything; but, I bet Babs was a real pain to work with....like insisting on being filmed only from one side. Please! Another actress cast in the lead would have made a much better film.

Summary: NUTS THE SEQUAL??
Review: UNWATCHABLE!!!! This movie is easily the worst Streisand film ever!!! And I'm a huge fan. What was she thinking? The comedic lines are rote, old, and unfunny. The fatal flaw of casting Jeff Bridges in this film kills it from the start. He can't pull off that fidgity nervous nerd type character. He just annoys. Then there is Babs herself dressing up like the HO she played in NUTS. I recommend this only for Lauren Bacall fanatics, she's the only one in this film that escapes unscathed. Oh Babs why? why?

Summary: Entertaining Romantic Comedy With Sparkling Performances!
Review: While the material and the screenplay are lite fluff, the performances are the stars here. Jeff Bridges is hilarious and perfect as the stubborn professor. Barbara Streisand is more than a little self-conscious but her comic touch and diva qualities are used smartly. Lauren Bacall almost steals the show as the emotionless mother. Romantic and sometimes very funny. Formylaic story, but endearing characters and inspired casting make up for it. Streisand refuses to look unattractive in the first half of the movie and that tones down the 'dramatic' elements of the movies; internal and undiscovered beauty, etc. From a scale of 1-10 I give this film a 7!

Summary: Friendship set on fire
Review: This movie is about what love and attraction should really be--friendship set on fire. Greg and Rose become friends with a strong emotional connection and because of that, the attraction develops. In the end he admits to her that he wanted her that "horrible night"--even before she remade herself. He fell in love with her inner beauty. He was just trying to live up to his theory about sex ruining things because he was afraid it would ruin the best relationship he had ever had with a woman. Rose had to remake herself and catch his attention and even leave him before he was willing to face the truth (we all know how dense men can be!). I found the movie quite entertaining. Lauren Bacall turns in a great performance as Rose's mother and as always Barbra looked great--no matter how frumpy she tried to be. A movie for anyone who loves a romantic comedy.

Summary: LOVE THE MOVIE!
Review: This is my new favorite movie. When i started watching it i was like,"this is going to be boring", but my love for barbara kept me glued to the chair. I am not an emotional person and this movie made me cry. A lot of times women feel like they have to look a certain way to please a guy and this movie shows that you do! (thanks guys you've made the world that way for us). I thought this movie was extremely sad especially when she left Greg but then my face hurt from smiling so much at the end. This is a must see for anyone who likes romantic comedies and is a sap for a typical love story!

Summary: A great watch
Review: A great movie. Very touching and full of poignant moments. The "meeting of the minds" between Rose and Gregory was beautiful and you could feel the friendship blossom and develop. The morals that you come away with after watching this movie are timeless. You can feel your own pride swell when Rose walks away from Alex. Quite a wonderful movie. I definetly recommend it.

Summary: Grotesque
Review: This all-stops-out ego trip by the world's foremost egocentric monstrosity hits all kinds of new highs for BIZARRE. Two faces? ..both ugly. & there's even a reference to Lauren Bacall being beautiful! One can only guess this mess was scripted by Little Stevie and Feliciano! When Streisand was playing Fanny and Daisy and Dolly and Yentl - the ugly misfit - which is what she is - it had some substance & she must be coasting on that momentum even yet. As the psychiatrist or professor - it "does not compute." We're reminded again that "ugly is to the bone."

Summary: GREAT MOVIE! A MUST SEE!
Review: I loved this movie! This film shows the many talents of Barbra from director to singer to actress, this movie is heart warming and full of laughs. I must see with your loved one!
