Rating: Summary: Funniest Movie Ever Review: It sad that this movie is out-of-print (on hold by Disney actually) and so unknown. This is the funniest movie I've ever watched, and it's still funny the 10th time you watch it. It has an all-star cast. I am assured that the play (which the movie comes from) is even funnier, so if you ever see that it's playing in your city, buy tickets! You will especially appreciate this film if you've ever been in the cast of a play. We can really appreciate what happens to people when they spend A LOT of time together over an extended period - human emotional complexities at their best!
Rating: Summary: Noises Off Review: This DVD Title is the funniest of all time videos. I was thinking of purchasing this tittle for a long time now many people would agree that when Carol Burnett and Michael Caine get together the house gets wild. The stage just comes alive. Stage left stage right your eyes just cant fathom the fact that all time best actors and actresses exsist in this title. I really want to know when I can purchase this title as soon as it is available on DVD. If you have not watched this you are definitely behind the curve ball. This is a comedy of all time must see for all who loves and has the theatre in thier hearts.
Rating: Summary: Noises Off! is a very funny, fast paced movie. Review: This is slow at the beginning (to give them time to set up the story and character relationships) but then, it takes off like a rocket.
Rating: Summary: Noises Off Review: This movie is one of my favorites. It is hilarious and fun. It is great theatre comedy!!! It has an all-star cast and is not only worth seeing and owning, but worth making on DVD!!!
Rating: Summary: Nonstop Laughter Review: The timing in this movie is so great you must give credit to the actors and the director as well.
Rating: Summary: OK recording of a hilarious piece of theatre - see it live! Review: An amusing but ultimately unsuccessful filmization of Michael Frayn's masterly stage comedy about a fourth-rate repertory company dominated by petty jealousies and illicit affairs, and the calamities, confusion and sheer misfortune that occur on both sides of the stage during their performance of a hoary old British sex farce. Frayn's original - a satire of a very British type of theatre, both an exposure and an application of the traditional tricks of frantic farce, and an essay on the concepts of order and chaos - is truly agonizingly hilarious. But it depends so much on the precariousness of live theatre, the intimacy between performer and spectator, and subtle, complex Chinese-box farce-witbin-a-farce trickery for its effect, all of which are lost when it is committed to celluloid, though the garishness and immediacy could have been captured to a certain extent if the on-stage sequences had been shot on videotape (like in The Larry Sanders Show). Michael Caine is as brilliant as ever.
Rating: Summary: Almost as funny as the stage show Review: I've seen this show on stage twice, and there's simply nothing as funny as the second act (the backstage scenes) if you've ever done any theatre at all. The movie can't quite hit that level, but it is convenient to have it on tape - we had to stop it at least three times because we were laughing so hard and didn't want to miss any lines. No mention of Spain, Sardines or "bag, bag, bag!" goes by in our household without an answering, "Sorry?" Definitely recommended.
Rating: Summary: the funniest movie i have. Review: the funniest movie i have.
Rating: Summary: If you're an actor, this movie will make you laugh then cry Review: Having done the stage version of the show (and mercilessly pushed myself through the second act) this show is a great to watch before even THINKING about doing the show...Carol Burnett is still hysterical after all these years and Michael Caine's angst as the director is classic. However, my heart goes out to Julie Haggerty's Poppy who is so quiet and mousy...but you gotta love her. Trust me...this a great movie...a great cast...and a lot of fun...
Rating: Summary: Noises Off Review: Hilarious & quirky. Probably not all viewers will appreciate this fine ensemble work. The dialog is so fast-paced that careful listening is required. I loved this film.
