Rating: Summary: PURE DRIVEL!! Review: What's cooking!? While I believe in the ole adage "TO EACH HIS OR HER OWN," this film is where the exception must be drawn!heh It's no wonder why SISKEL & EBERT placed this on their list of WORST FILM of 1998. There was nothing remotely humorous about this film. Jokes that would have received heckling if the main characters had been standup comedians!heh And the most annoying factor of this film was SANDLER'S voice. Can someone care to explain to me the humor in pretending to speak like a squirmy nebbish!?heh Unfortunately, most of today's movie going audience is comprised of adolescents, who have no clue to good comedy. Yes, you have two schools of comedic films. CEREBRAL and SLAPSTICK. e.g. WOODY ALLEN would be considered a cerebral comedic genius. Both in writing, acting, and directing. MEL BROOKS would fall into the latter genre of SLAPSTICK. But for God sakes, their films are FUNNY!heh Now I know why this film had been written by two of SANDLER'S college buddies. Because the end result was just that. Reminiscent of a COLLEGE FILM SHORT!heh Unfortunately, the duration of this film wasn't as concise!heh To those of you who believe that this film was funny!? I ask of you one question: Where is your humor bone!? Remember, revenues never equate to quality. This film being a perfect example. It made $$, because of the millions of mindless movie goers who had the nerve to shell out $8 for this garbage. Lastly, how did HENRY "THE FONZ" WINKLER and Academy Award winner KATHY BATES agree to be in this shlock film!? Unbelievable to say the least!!
Rating: Summary: way too much hype Review: when i saw the trailer on sphere it got me so hyped i was gittery during the whole movie, but when it later got released in theatre i never got around to going out to see it.so when it got released on video i immediatly rented.i was shocked at how lowsey it was. i laughed twice maybe three times through the whole movie."you cannot do it"
Rating: Summary: A Good Laugh Review: Here I am listening to Dave Matthews thinking that I am the regular Joe, when all of the sudden I read a review that said that this movie had nothing to offer to the "Average Joe"...needless to say I was offended...this movie, regardless of whether you like Sandler or not has laugh-out-loud moments. Even I as a movie skeptic find that impressive because I can not remember the last time I laughed out loud in a theatre (all right I can it was "Something about Mary").You, regardless of who you are and who you like, would do well to at least rent this movie.
Rating: Summary: TERRIFIC, CLASSIC SANDLER Review: ONE OF SANDLER'S BEST, ALSO GAVE A GOOD FEELING AT THE EN
Rating: Summary: Ahh, Yeah Review: I thought that the waterboy rule
Rating: Summary: best comedy movie ever Review: this was the best comedy film ever with the best comedy actors Adam Sandler GO TO AdamSandler.com
Rating: Summary: Utterly Dehydrated Review: I think the only reason why people went to see this was because that there wasn't any other movie. The movie itself was funny but the jokes that are used in this movie are often seen in other comedies.
Rating: Summary: BEST Review: I thought that this movie was the best. I wish that I could play football like that. It has a great plot and is reall funny. Most of the time, comedy's don't make me laugh that much, but this one was different.
Rating: Summary: Looking for hour laughs you'll be sure to find it right here Review: Adam Sandler is hilariously funny. I've seen Happy Gilmore and after watching this I decided how wonderful this guy is. I've watched him on Saturday Night Live singing his wacky songs. His sense of humor is beyond what most comedians have done. I can sit there and watch "WaterBoy" for hours upon hours and still pass out laughing. I give his video 3 thumbs up if I had three of them. If you have not seen this film go get and rent it or buy it. Add to your collection and share among family and friends.
Rating: Summary: Amazingly hilarious Review: I thought this was one of the funniest movies of the year. If you don't like it, I'm going to "open a can of whup a##!" But seriously it was a great movie that did have a great story line that is different from Adam Sandler's other movies. Also the supporting cast, including Kathy Bates and Henry Winkler, was great.
