Summary: Pretty cool
Review: This movie really wasn't a comedy except for the fact that all the aliens were blasting the guts out of the big screen stars. I dont like the fact that Lukas Haas was became the big star of the movie. Clever. But Micheal J. Fox should have had more screen time.

Great cast.

Summary: 'What if Tim Burton was One of Us?"
Review: Finally a movie where the heroes die!!!!!!!!!! This movie takes a departure from conventional formulatic plot scemes and does the opposite. I applaud Tim Burton for having the guts to make this film. Who would have ever imagined that Congress, The Prez and The First Lady would all eventually get blown to bits in ONE movie?!? (Yeeah.) Who would have ever imagined rooting for the martians as they kill off the entire human species, sytematically, methodically, dutifully. The martians in this movie are disturbingly frightning but loveable at the same time. This movie pokes fun on how stupid and anal we are as a culture. I bet Tim Burton is just sitting back laughing at all of us.

Summary: Absolutely marvelous
Review: This is one enticingly odd yet extremely funny movie. I saw it twice in the theatres and the first time I didn't really know what I thought about it...but seeing it again (and again, and again) makes me realize what an awesome flick this is.

Summary: As advertised!
Review: This movie is a comedy. OK, a dark comedy. But it's intended to be funny. You have to have a sense of humor to enjoy it. It's definitely not 5 star material, but as far as a dark comedy, I think 4 stars is fair. If you like the mix of sci-fi, spoof, comedy, and big name cameos, you will enjoy this film. Honest!

Summary: Best movie I've ever seen. Kill-arious!
Review: When I first went to see this movie in the theatre I thought it would be one of these weird alien movies. When I came out of the cinema I couldn't stop laughing because it was so funny. I rented it at the video store about 14 billion times. Now I own it on DVD (Region 2). It's cool, but I would have liked some dubbed languages, and a special effects commentary.

Summary: get it if you like grotesque genre
Review: This movie is NOT a SciFi comedy! It is grotesque in it's most pure form (distorting natural into absurdity, ugliness, or caricature). It is an antidote to adventure movie cliche and plays this role pretty well. It is not funny, instead it makes fun of you (and that is necessary sometimes). Worth seeng, but be prepared. Not for everyone.

Summary: "Guess it wasn't the dove."
Review: Don't tell me this is the worst movie ever made. It's not. It's quite funny in parts, though, yes, two of the best are given away in the trailer. Another is given above. "People live here!" "Thanks, Dad." Natalie Portman delivers such apathetic one-liners so gracefully. And you gotta admire a girl who can say "...for saving the world from the Martians" with a straight face. Most of the characters in this movie existed to die. Still, it's fun to watch the invasion. This is not Independence Day, okay? This is Independence Day on crack, or something. Argelfraster.

Summary: Not that good a movie.
Review: If u don't like intense violence, don't watch this movie. Unlike me, who's watched it, and don't really like it. The humans are shot and burned up, and experiments are done on decapitated people. Also, if u don't like WEIRD movies, then don't watch it, because this one alien in the movie has nitrogen chewing gum. In general, I wouldn't really suggest a movie like this. :(

Summary: Not the greatest movie ever. But I still liked it.
Review: Okay, this movie wasn't that great, I can even see why some people didn't like it. But I thought it was pretty funny how it made fun of cheap, 50's sci-fi movies. I thought it was cool how they end up killing the Martians.

Don't get this movie if your looking for a sci-fi classic. Get it if you want a few good laughs and some weird characters.

Summary: one of the best sci-fi-comedies ever..
Review: This is fantastic - especially Americans should watch it. You get enough patriotic stuff like Air Force One or Independence Day - tune in to something that makes fun of all this cheesy US patriotism - as well as 50's movies and lots more. It's hilarious - and probably Tim Burton's best film together with Edward Scissorhands...
