I don't care, this movie is hilarious, and had me trying to talk like Ace after I finished the movie. If you are looking at this to decide whether or not to buy it -- READ NO MORE buy it- it's great. Review: What can you say? This is the original of all Jim Carry's really funny movie stuff. All his hilarious "In Living Color" voices and actions with a football backdrop. If your baby nephew is asleep and you don't want to wake him, don't throw this movie in.

Review: This is a very funny movie.It has alot of memorable moments.The only thing that I hated about this movie was the fact that the band Cannibal Corpse made an appearance in the movie.They are probably the worst band on the planet.But besides that,this movie is really good.I reccomend this to anyone.Peace Out.

Summary: Ace Ventura - Pet Thoughts
Review: In Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, comedic actor Jim Carrye portrays a free lance pet detective on the hunt for the Miami Dolphin's missing masscott. He teams up with Courtney Cox, a miami detective, who has a sexy, but confident way of performing her job and working with Ace. I love this movie and rate it as one of my top comedy movies of all time. Jim Carrey's performance is hillarious and outstanding. If you haven't seen it, than you are missing out! You can also see some of Jim Carrey's amazing work in _Liar Liar_, _Me, Myself, and Irene_, and _Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls_!

Review: I thought the movie was the funniest thing ever when I was 8, but I like it better now that Cannibal Corpse was in it (even the though the lead singer is now with six feet under), it's good though

Summary: Enjoyed it more the third time
Review: For me, it took time to tune into this kind of comedy. I know I would've given it no more than three stars the first time I saw it. However, I'm beginning to realize that Ace in this first picture, is a reasonably complex comedy character. Actually, he is intelligent although he doesn't always act it, he obviously has a soft spot for animals, he's a role player, and he enjoys annoying certain people. I did enjoy the scenes with his apartment menagerie the most, especially the early landlord scene. The scenes in which Ace is playing well-known roles are also good. There's a Sherlock bit, a Philip Marlowe type bit, a James Bond bit, a Colombo bit...well, you get the idea. His rubber face is of course Carrey's trademark in many of his movies. And of course, there's a fair share of very crude humor involved. Surprisingly, this picture works reasonably well as a mystery. What I mean is that hey, the mystery element here is interesting. Well, this isn't a great movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it is good for a number of laughs. Also, you see a foreshadowing of Carrey's more serious roles to come.

Summary: Another GREAT Movie, but a HORRIBLE DVD!!!!
Review: Again, this is another movie that I love, and it should get five stars all the way. but....... IT'S FULLSCREEN!!!! What's the big deal??! I mean, yeah it's a comedy and widescreen shouldn't matter that much, it's just that when the VAST majority of DVDs features widescreen versions...well, ya get kinda spoiled. It's nothing that you mean to have happen...it just does. I will write a positive review when this is re-released in WIDESCREEN. Again, my LASERDISK is widescreen. I don't care about the special features, just give me the widescreen, please. If I wanted fullscreen, I'd watch the VHS version, thank you very much.
