Review: I was kind of skeptical at first when I heard that Jim Carrey, the king of box office silliness, wanted to do a cross-over drama a la Robin Williams. Then I went to see the movie in the theater and I was mesmerized! Jim Carrey did a wonderful job as the naive and lovable Truman Burbank who slowly begins to realize that everything and everyone around him is a lie. His whole life is brodcast 24 hours a day to the whole world and everyone knows it except Truman. Ed Harris is also great as the creator of "The Truman Show" who gets a little carried away with his creation. Carrey proves that he is an actor as well as movie star. Don't miss it!

Review: The Truman Show was such a witty and clever movie. The parts in the movie were so well put together that sometimes you actually thought that you were watching a movie or a TV show. I also thought that Jim Carey did an excellent job in it. It was a nice contrast from some of his other movies. I think he was the perfect guy for the part. This is the reason I gave The Truman Show 5 stars. It truly deserved it.

Review: I have never enjoyed Jim Carrey movie in my life. Imagine my surprise to find this movie was original, funny, sad and a movie that had me thinking even days after I saw it. Jim Carrey is exceptional and the movie is an absolute brilliant piece of work. Congratualtions to Jim Carrey, this movie shows what he is capable of.

Review: "The Truman Show" was the most original movie I have seen in a long time, and it would definfitely be worth seeing again! The character Truman seems to be written for Carrey, and is both funny and touching without being stupid, trashy or vulgar. There are some very funny parts, such as viewer reactions to Truman, or his wife's attempt to avoid a fight. This is the first movie I have seen in which Carrey's character is not, again, vulgar or overdone. Most of all, the plot of this movie is completely original, and I love that. Last but not least, it doesn't contain lots of violence, bad language, or sex scenes - actually, it would be great to take on a babysitting job!

Review: The Truman Show is the essence of great cinema. A brilliant story backed up by great characters with amazing performances from the actors who portray them make this an exceptional film. Film of '98 - definatly. Film of the decade - probably.

Review: I am not a big fan of Jim Carrey but I must say he did an excellent job in this film of showing the complexity of his character. The premise seems unbelievable but it does arouse some paranoia in me...(what if?...) Without giving away the ending, I thought the best scene in the movie is right before the end, when the camera captures the change in Truman's face when he comes across what he doesn't expect. This is a movie that is worth seeing, and I am going to get the video when it is at a realistic price.

Review: The truman show was one of the best movie i've seen for the year 1998. It's concept is ironically almost the truth. If you think about it his life is very much the same to everybody's life. Who knows really. I'm not saying that directly the same but in some issues of people's lives...it is almost scary. The moral is good...if you really want it...you gotta show that you want it. Movie is great...i'd buy. Jim Carrey played his role ok...although it's kind of difficult to picture him in a drama...but because of him this movie has a certain authenticity mark by Jim Carrey. Proud to say that i like the movie. Good morning! and incase i don't see ya, goodafternoon, goodevening, and goodnight.
