Summary: Simple minded froth
Review: Maybe I expected too much from the movie. It turned out to be pretty simple minded and didn't seem to be able to make up its mind whether it wanted to be a thriller or a comedy on beauty pageants. Not the least bit scary once you found out the gorgeous Candace Bergen was the villain. Save your time and watch L. A. Confidential again if you are in the mood for a good story.

Review: I understand why Sandra Bullock won the Golden Globe for this movie. She is really good at physical comedy. While it is predictable, and has many faults there are several good performances in it, including that of Michael Caine. The major problem with this movie is the script and basic plot line. However, if you want a movie that will serve as some mindless entertainment it's a good one.

Summary: A good solid comedy for Sandra Bullock
Review: It seems we have been getting our share of Beauty Pageant comedies lately ("Beautiful", "Drop Dead Gorgeous"). "Miss Congeniality" is by far the biggest production and the best of the lot. Sandra Bullock (who also co-produced) plays Gracie Hart, a homely FBI agent who goes undercover at the Miss United States beauty pageant to catch a terrorist who has threatened to blow up the pageant. The story is funny and Bullock shows her range, proving to be an excellent comedian in addition to her proven talents as a dramatic actor. The writers poke the typical fun at pageants and contestants throughout the film, but they develop a conscience at the end when Gracie gets teary-eyed admitting what a great experience it was. There is plenty of silly slapstick humor. Bullock does her runway thing with aplomb, and her tongue firmly in cheek. Michael Caine is wonderfully droll as the beauty consultant who is given the impossible task of turning the ugly duckling into a swan. Interestingly, this is not the first film where Sandra Bullock makes the beast to beauty transition. In one of her early films in 1991 ("Love Potion Number 9"), she plays a geek who discovers a love potion and turns into a knockout. That film was an early indication of her comedic talents, but she eschewed zany comedy for dramatic and romantic roles for many years after that. It is good to see her return to it. This is a very light and entertaining film that is easy to watch and easy to forget. At over $100 million gross it had plenty of mass appeal. The comedy is silly but fun, and Candice Bergen, Michael Caine and William Shatner provide some terrific moments in supporting roles. I rated it a 7/10. It is a good, solid comedy.

Review: Sandra Bullock is mildly entertaining in this other-wise non-interesting movie where she plays an FBI agent who must go under-cover at a beauty pagent. That's about all their is to the plot. Michael Caine, William Shatner, and Candice Bergen all play other roles in the movie where they try and keep Sandra from making a fool out of herself, But that;s happened already when she agreed to star in this movie...!

Summary: Pageant Fans Will Love this One!
Review: Every pageant mom, contestant or groupie needs to see this movie! Very realistic and hilarious! From the "this is not a beauty pageant but a scholarship program" and more. The girls were portrayed like airheads though - and that is not realistic, however, this is too funny to pass up. Some beautiful gowns by Claires Collections of California. Anybody who has been involved in the Miss America system will think this is a riot. Michael Caine is the epitome of the typical southern pageant coach! Sandra Bullock outdoes herself. - Five + Stars!!

Review: Miss Congeniality is a very entertaining movie about an FBI agent who goes undercover to protect the most beautiful women in the world, at the Miss America Pagent. The story follows this woman, who is less than elegant, and watch her transform into this beautiful woman. I wont give away the whole story because its a very funny and entertaining movie, both Sandra Bullock and Benjamin Bratt shine in this one. Its a must have if you enjoy non stop laughter and entertainment, this is your movie.

Summary: One of the funniest movies I've ever seen!
Review: When I was dragged to see this movie in the theaters, I was expecting to be another one of Sandra Bullock's chick flicks. I was delighfully surprised. I laughed so hard as I watched it! Not only is Bullock terrific as Gracie Hart, but Candice Bergan, Michael Caine, and especially William Shatner shine as the supporting characters. Benjamin Bratt was expendible, but the rest of the movie makes up for his bad acting.

Summary: MISS CONGENIALITY ~ Awesome Movie!
Review: I love this movie! Why? Because, for one, Sandra Bullock is absolutely great in this funny movie about a cop (FBI Agent, whatever) who joins a beauty pagent 'Scholarship Fund' to go undercover and find the an infamous killer. I just got the DVD the other day and love the hilarious out takes and great never before seen footage. I think I've now watched it about five times in those two days and, as pathetic as this may seem, plan on watching it again real soon. Sandra and Michael Collin's screen relationship is completely charming, their scenes becomming the main reason to watch this movie. They have a great chemistry, as do Sandra Bullock and Benjamin Bratt, whom the movies love story centers around. I ain't gonna tell you anymore, but just to watch out for Candice Bergan and William Shatner's great partnership in solving the crime, well sort of... I love this movie because it focuses on what great movies are about. Being fun and all around entertaining. Five Out Of Five.

Review: Wow! this movie made so much sense and had an unpredictable side to it. It was immpossible for me NOT to laugh out loud! this movie was so easy for me to relate to because it was exactly like me i thought. you have to buy this movie it was great! her talent at the talent part of the pagent is hilarious! sandra bullock plays the part Perfectly! This movie has soooo many funny parts-all through out! it was by far the best movie i've ever seen everyone in the theaters was in hysterics! the plot is excellent.
