Summary: Miss Congeniality
Review: I so enjoyed this movie. True, I do really adore most of Sandra Bullock's work but this one made me laugh right out loud continuosly. My husband commented that he enjoyed watching me watch it even more than actually watching "Meet the Parents". I actually believe it is her best effort at comedy thus far. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did!

Summary: This one's good fun!
Review: Sandra Bullock plays a tomboy FBI agent who is somewhat lacking in social graces. When an undercover officer is needed to investigate potential mayhem at a beauty pageant, she is chosen. Michael Caine, as a beauty pageant coach, is charged with the job of converting her to a believable contestant. He coaches her speech, and her walk and employs a team of beauty experts to complete the conversion. During the pageant, she slips into her old persona just often enough to be funny. Candace Bergen is a former beauty queen who currently runs the pageant and is angry because her bosses are threatening to fire her. When you want a chuckle, rent this one.

Summary: Tops my list
Review: Aaah, the joys of teenage sleepovers. Rent a few movies and lie there for hours on end, watching them again and again. Well, Miss Congeniality was the third movie I watched with my friends a few weeks ago. I must admit that I fell asleep after the first 20 minutes or so, but it was 1:30 AM, OK? Anyway, we all wake up 6 hours later and on goes Miss Congeniality. Oh my god, this is a teriffic movie! Sandra Bullock perfectly plays the role of an FBI agent, very tomboyish and a workaholic, who is suddenly put on an assignment at the Miss America pageant. The frazzled agent is made into a gorgeous model who, well, I don't want to spoil the ending.

Sandra Bullock and all her supporting cast are absolutely teriffic in this hilarious movie. This movie, whether you are young, old, or young at heart, is a great movie for you!

Summary: Not it's potential.
Review: This movie had the the potential of a very funny comedy. It was just a couple feet away from the award of me granting it 5 stars. However, I still believe it one of Sandra Bullock's best movies, and definetly a keeper.

Summary: Sandra Bullock gets better with every film she makes.
Review: In "Miss Congeniality" she plays an FBI agent, Gracie Hart, who gets "volunteered" to enter the "Miss America Beauty Pageant" on an FBI "sting" operation. "Miss Congeniality" is bone splitting funny and I sat roaring with laughter, wishing the film would go on forever. However, like all good things, it comes to an end --- which leads me to ask what's next, Sandra --- and when? It intrigues me that she never says anything funny. She is simply hilarious in portraying her role. Maybe it's my imagination, but I swear Sandra gets better with every film she makes --- and, more beautiful. Although I know little or nothing about Sandra's personal life, it strikes me that in real life she may be much like the characters she portrays: deeply sensitive, considerate of others, self-deprecating, but outgoing in personality. The dynamics of her acting range from the deeply poignant, as in "28 Days", to her new, outrageously comical, "Miss Congeniality", which she produced. Does this woman have a limit to her abilities? Apparently not. If you like to laugh, watch this flick. It's great fun!

Summary: Miss Congeniality
Review: Miss Congeniality is a comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Michael Caine. Although I am not a big fan of either of the actors, this movie seemed to work and provide laughs.

Sandra Bullock plays a nerdy, but strong and athletic FBI agent. She is picked to go undercover at a beauty pagaent for some FBI mission. The plot is not terrific, but it's a comedy.

There are however, some pretty funny jokes that go along with the whole beauty pagaent, such as the talent part and the dressing up to go on stage and everything. I think that the movie was a success because it did not go too far with the FBI thing, because a lack of plot would have screwed it over.

Basically, I've heard funnier jokes, so the movie only gets a four from me. It would be a good choice if you have seen all of the biggest comedies, and want a comedy, of course

Summary: Great Movie, Adequate DVD
Review: If you are looking for a simple comedy, this is a definitely winner for you. When I first saw this in the theater I immediately thought, I must own the DVD when it comes out. Needless to say I definitely purchased it. While the storyline and plot needed a little more work to make a better overall movie, it was definitely enjoyable nonetheless. Simply said there are many laughs to be had in this movie. The DVD itself was not as much up to par as I was hoping for. The extras are there but are a little lacking. with two featurettes both interesting to watch once, after that one-time viewing, won't won't really bother to watch them again. Overall, however this DVD was pretty pleasing, though it lacked a little bit.

If you enjoy watching Sandra Bullock on film, this is a definite purchase, otherwise, rent it first and then decide whether or not you want to buy this DVD. Definitely good for a load of laughs.

Summary: NOT CHARLIE'S ANGELS, YOUR GIRLS WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE
Review: Preteen girls will love this movie. I couldn't get them to sit through Charlie's Angels (too violent, too sexy), but this movie they loved. The character is a misfit, which girls at this age are usually dealing with, and she goes through alot of funny changes. It has a moral of not judging what people look like on the outside...yadda..yadda. It was very entertaining for the whole family, and the most important part was that I felt I got my money's worth. I highly recommend this movie...it had a Disney type of quality around it. It was very very cute! "you think I'm gorgeous" is all I heard for days from the kids... So you know, when they quote movies, that they liked the movie.
