Summary: Cliche, Cliche, Cliche, Cliche
Review: ... this movie was awful. It has been a long time since I saw a movie that was more predictable and more cliche. Plot: Big man on campus, party guy, has a crisis, he is then forced to grow up and shows everybody that he is really a good guy - Oh please! This movie was so bad. To even imagine that the same entity, National Lampoon, brought us Animal House is almost beyond belief. Do not buy, rent or watch this movie. Watch Animal House again - a much better use of your time. ... A few (like two) scenes with breast - big deal. If you think you are going to get some benifit by watching the "unrated version", think again. For those viewers and critics that thought this movie was good - you need to sit down with some older movies and realize that this movie is nothing more than regurgitated crap -

Summary: The Most Immature Movie made all Year
Review: National Lampoon's Van Wilder was totally immature and absolutely funny. One of the years best. Lauph out loud humor.
Funnier than Animal House.

Summary: Hey, it's funny!....."Write that down."
Review: National Lampoon's Van Wilder is everything but dull. Ryan Reynolds, Tara Reid and the rest of the cast were perfect. A few scenes (the eclair one to be exact) will make you laugh...and sick. The one scene I didn't care for was when Van was with the principal (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it).

Van Wilder is definitely worth watching (maybe even twice). Right now I desperately want the soundtrack. The music was GREAT.

Summary: National Lampoon Is Still In The Game!
Review: I haveto admit i thought Van Wilderwould be stupic and they could never make another funny classic like animal house and vacation. But boy was i wrong.

The movie is a bout Van wilder who is a college student and he has been there for 7 years already and has acomlished nothing. when his father realizes this he stops paying and forces Van to pay his way if he wants to stay in college. Van is popular and a kick... party thrower. Van learns some lessons throughout the movie and stuf.

Van Wilder is hilariousi found myself laughing harder and harder as the movie went on. The movie was extremely gross but its rally funny and not a bad movie.I would recomend this movie to alot off ppl. it is very funny!

Summary: National Lampoon Returns!
Review: If you are a fan of National Lampoon films, then you will enjoy this one. Although a few of the jokes fell flat, most really worked for my sense of humour.

Van Wilder STILL hasn't graduated after 7 years at Coolidge College. But who can really blame him for wanting to stay there? He's the campus hero, lives in lavish housing, and even has a full time assistant.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end--as Van Wilder--(Ryan Reynolds) abruptly discovers when his father, played by Tim Matheson, stops payment on his check for yet another semester's "education." It was good to see Matheson back in another comedy role (I still remember "Animal House").

And so the fun begins---

Will Van Wilder venture out into "the Real World," or will he manage to delay the day of reckoning?

Aided and abbetted in this madness and mayhem by his assistant, Taj, Van Wilder creates his own "financial aid." Reynolds plays Van Wilder with deadpan humour, and Taj--well, he was brilliant.

Summary: My New Favorite Comedy
Review: Aside from two over-the-top gross out scenes, this is easily my new favorite comedy. Picture Zack from Saved By The Bell in a modern day version of the Animal House. Well, maybe that's a bad comparison since I never liked Animal House all that much. Really witty sexual humor and off-the-wall craziness. Get this DVD (you can always fast-forward through the donut scene and the bathroom scene)

Summary: A Higher Class Of Gross Out Comedy
Review: As soon as I hear "National Lampoon" I think I'm either going to be grossed out or laugh like a fool. But I never expect much in the way of a story and characters. Van Wilder was a step up from the rest in that regard. It's still very gross in parts, one scene is almost even too much for me to watch, but Ryan Reynolds does a great job playing a fun and well liked person. As far as features I was also impressed. I preordered this way back when and I didn't know it was a 2 DVD Set till a few days before release. A commentary track would of been something fun of this disc but it's still very good without it.
It's a fun flick and worth the viewing but it cetainly might not be something you can stomach to see a second time.
