Review: ...Because you'll laugh so hard, you might lose your bowel abilities. Jim Carrey sealed his fate as the funniest actor in history with this film. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was hard for me to accept Jeff Daniels in that role. I wonder if there would have been someone else that could have done it better. Jack Black? Not sure. But overall, pure hilarity. The kind of movie where you're laughing so hard, it's hard to breathe. It's so good that I've added it to my DVD collection.

Review: this movie was the funniest movie ever created. there were so many one liners that you can watch it over and over again and still find something funny that you didnt remember. Jim carey's performance in this film was hilrious. the first time i saw this movie i couldnt stop laughing. If you havent seen this movie then you dont know what you're missing

Summary: It's fun to laugh at the idiots
Review: I'll admit: When the plot was presented to me, I thought, why would I find an interest of a movie like this? The main reason is the way the acting was presented. Dumb and Dumber is a reflection on the idiots we meet in our daily lives--the people who do things so irredembably dumb, we are unable to comprehend that people of this sort exist. Yet, Harry and Lloyd certainly do. The plot presents material related to things that we do on a daily basis that appear naive and dumb. But from the perspective of a movie watcher, we are able to see how dumb we really are. When we engange in these dumb behaviors, we rarely are even aware that it is, in fact, dumb, pointless, silly, and without value. Take a look at Harry and Lloyd, however. They don't appear to notice their careless errors. They are imbeciles--idiots. They don't know any better. They are dumber than Mr. Gadget ever was. But the humor--especially the bathroom scenes intended to strike a laugh from the worst within us--were funny. Why? Mainly because we all are cought up in terribly embarassing moments, and it's fun to laugh. Fun to laugh at the real idiots for a change. Michael Gordon

Review: A combination of facial expressions, witty writing, impeccable timing, and expert editing come together to make this film a laughfest. It could very well become a classic. Jim Carey and his sidekick are a hilarious team. There's the usual antics of slapstick, but this film has more. A logical storyline maintains your attention as you wonder how the "heroes" are going to accomplish their goals. Crosscountry travel, embarrassing situations, miscommunications all enter the mix. Prepare for a couple of hours of hearty, healthy laughter. There are no weak spots in this film. It's all good.

Review: Dumb and Dumber is a comedy that is destined to be a classic. This is a story about two mentally defective guys and their adventures going cross-country to return a briefcase back to its owner. The owner is played by Lauren Holly as Mary Swanson, a "well to do" woman who left the briefcase full of money at an airport in an attempt to get her kidnapped husband released. Jim Carrey plays Lloyd Christmas, his best friend is Harry; played by Jeff Daniels. These two manage to bungle everything they attempt to do.
This movie has excellent bathroom humor that will have you rolling on the floor in laughter. I think this is Jim Carrey's best. If you are looking for a no-brainer movie with lots of sick and ridiculous humor, this is the movie for you.
