Review: Dumb And Dumber (1994.)

INTRODUCTION:
Dumb And Dumber, a comedy film starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, was released in 1994. This was the era in which Carrey's comedy movie career really began to take off, and most of his movies from this era were hailed as some of his best work. How does Dumb And Dumber measure up? Read on for my review.

BASIC PLOT:
A limo driver (Carrey) and a dog groomer (Daniels) both get fired from their jobs. But, during his last day at work, the limo driver noticed that the woman he had driven to the airport had left her briefcase. The stupid twosome decides to take her the briefcase - not knowing that it was supposed to be left in the airport, because it contains the woman's husband's ransom money. Before long, stupidity and hillarity are around every corner.

FILM OPINIONS:
Of all the comedy films that Jim Carrey did in the nineties, this one is my favorite. Anyone who calls this a stupid movie is right, but it was never intended to be taken seriously (aren't most comedy films that way?) Carrey never made me laugh in any other film more times than he did in this movie. Both he and Daniels are experts at playing guys who are complete morons. In the end, I think this is a great comedy movie.

DVD:
Sadly, the DVD version of this movie doesn't really give you any special bonus features, or anything of that sort. Maybe they'll release a special edition version someday, but until then, we'll just have to make do with what we have. If you've got it on VHS and you're considering replacing it with a DVD, take my advice and hold off, seeing if the film company releases a version with more bonus material.

OVERALL:
Overall, this movie is pretty damn hillarious. If you want to laugh, you seriously must see this film. Jim Carrey is funny in pretty much every movie he stars in, but this is his funniest film by far, in my opinion. Watch this movie. If you're looking for comedy, it shouldn't disappoint.

Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels star as two bumbling idiots who take it upon themselves to return a briefcase to a woman. However, the case is full of ransom money kidnappers never received. The ruthless killers are on Carey's and Daniel's tails all the way to Aspen, CO.
Yes, it's slapstick, has some low-brow humor, and plays on idiocy. I found it slightly reminiscient of a Three Stooges movie.
Don't expect the greatest cinematic experience. Instead, just turn your brain off for about two hours and enjoy the silly humor.

Review: My sister and I have nearly memorized all the lines in this movie. We love it! Some comedies have alot of funnies, but not much of a plot. This one's hilarious in a goofy, idiot sort of way have and the plot isn't too bad either - it's very easy to follow. Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels are great together - the casting couldn't have been more perfect.

Review: why do people consider this movie a classic it's horrible crude comedy that makes the worst comedians out there trying to make it big just nod their heads in shame. Honestly this was Carry's worst movie and he's not even that good at acting I can do better by just setting a camera down on the table, pressing play and do some stupid [...] like knock down a flower base and even that's funny in comparison to this hideous piece of junk not worth one penny. Now, the sequel there's a movie that made me laugh the whole time it was just so hilarious thank god they didn't take carry or daniels to play as their youthful selfs, their too old and the cameras arnt that good at concealing aging features. This movie is just horrible and the plot didn't make any sense I strongly urge everyone to check out the second part that one is ACTUALLY funny not this one pass it up

Review: In case you were wondering, I copied this title from one of the best scenes in the movie. This is by far my favorite comedy movie, and I think the best part is when Harry and Lloyd are sitting in the hot tub, and Harry says "These places dont really do anything for me." "Why not, some little Philly break your heart?" replies Lloyd. Harry turns to Lloyd and answers, "No, it was a girl." "Oh." Lloyd sighs. A thouroghly great scene in a thouroughly great movie. see it. buy it. i have seen it at least 20 times, and it is still great. shout out to my cousin, ....ten in the morning, Hahahahahahahah.....
