Review: Dumb and Dumber is the kind of movie that you don't want to like. The humor is downright crude, the jokes are predictable and the acting is, well, forgetable. That all said, there are some scenes in this movie that will have you laughing uncontrollably. The "hot peppers" scene with the ketchup and mustard had me laughing till I cried. It may not be the best comedy ever made, but it sure has its moments.

Review: It's probably the funniest movie I've ever seen. I don't think they could have chosen two better actors than Carey and Daniels to portray the thickest two people on earth, especially Jeff Daniels whom I've never seen in other comedies before. I feel I need to comment on the DVD transfer if that's ok. The anamorphic widescreen presentation is good. I was disappointed with the dolby 5.1 encoding though. It is not very 'surround'. There could have been more emphasis on certain scenes eg: Lloyd passing wind onto a cigarette lighter,Lloyd waking up to an oncoming truck and Lloyd shooting the owl with a champagne cork. After all, the sound track is the main reason for buying a DVD....right?

Review: The best thing you can say about the movie is that it has no pretensions. It is "dumb and dumber" and you know it from the outset. In fact, it is super dumb so you definitely get what you pay for. Question is why would you want to pay for this? Slow night on TV?
