Review: This movie is for those people who dont mind idiots. It is basicly about 2 guys who are looking to find their place in life. Jim Carrey stars as Loyd Christmas and Jeff Daniels as his best friend Harry. They lived together in a dumpy ol' apartment with the only thing on the wall was a a picture of some chick in a swimsuit. I give this movie 1,000 thumbs up!!!!!

Review: I don't particularly like slapstick humor, and I'd heard horrible things about Carrey's "Ace Venture" series, so I was pleasantly surprised at how funny this one turned out to be! Some of the humor was a bit coarse, but it wasn't anywhere near as tasteless as, say, "There's Something About Mary".

Review: Whats often overlooked about this movie is the subtle humor. Yes, the subtle humor!!!! The little asides, like the Monkees comment in the diner, and the gambling bet later on gives one the sense this is a very knowing, aware film. The crack timing of Carrey and Daniels makes it look easy, but its tough to be this consistently funny!!I can't think of a single film that delivers as much as this one. Carrey has great comedic taste, he knows what will make us laugh. There is no hesitation. Once I saw this, I knew we'd never be rid of him. Not that I'd want to be. His best movie, although The Cable Guy was close. On the DVD, the widescreen is achieved by sort of stretching the picture to fit in the full frame, rather than using the black bars on the bottom and top of the sceen. This is a pet peeve of mine, but you probably wouldn't mind. Also, watch the trailers, as they actually feature scenes not used in the film!

Review: I don't want to talk to anyone who does not like this movie because i am sure they have no sense of humor. Yes, it is slapstick, but it is by far one to guarentee laughs.
