Summary: Scooby-doo rocks!!!!!!!
Review: Oh wow!!! I loved this film, I first saw it in french and then in english and I'm going to see it again tomorrow! I love it and I love the bit with Shaggy and Scooby are having their heart to heart when scooby is about to be a sacrifice. I thought it was a bit weird who the actual person (or dog should I say) was. I didn't like that bit. But I just thought it was so upsetting with the gang at the start. The funniest bit was on the plane and when shaggy and scooby having their competitions!!!! ...

Summary: Okay but also dumb
Review: I didn't go see this movie on purpose. The girl I was dating wanted to see it because, honestly, nothing else was playing, and we had nothing else to do. I didn't really have any high expectations for this movie, but I thought I might as well see if it could at least LOOSELY compare to the Scooby-Doo cartoon series.

I was relieved halfway through the movie when I realized the movie wasn't anything like the two worst Scooby-Doo sub-series: Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! (where the person the monster turns out to be is the only other person in the episode) and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (where the gang stops case-solving for a musical interlude and dance break). But that's not to say the movie was all that good. For instance, the gang got into an argument and went their separate ways at the BEGINNING of the movie. Why? Also, the end of the mystery didn't feel right. At no point in the movie did you see them find ANY clues, so if you were trying to solve the mystery yourself, you'd be out of luck. And when I found out who the monster was, I felt like asking for double my money back.

Fred was played by Freddie Prinze, Jr. Gee, I wonder who else would be in this movie then. How about his fiancée (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and his best friend (Matthew Lillard)? Lillard did a very good job playing Shaggy, but like in most of his movies lately, some of his scenes seemed pointless.

It's understandable that the crew wanted to relive an old cartoon favorite, but it's not necessarily a good idea to do that when the cartoon has a lot of different sub-series. The storyline needed improvement, but to be honest, I'm not sure if it could've worked any better no matter HOW the plot went. Oh well, lessons learned.

Summary: ZOINKS!
Review: I'll never be able to look at Scooby Doo the same way again. The long awaited motion picture looks like something crawled from the toilet bowl. What a disappointment.

Summary: It wasn't bad
Review: Internal strife has torn Mystery, Inc. apart. Each member wishes to claim the credit for solving the crimes and not work together as a team. Only Shaggy and Scooby try to get them together to no avail. Time passes and the group re-unites on a plane bound to a mysterious island. Each has received a written invitation requesting their assistance. Upon reaching the island they discover that something is brainwashing the teenagers who frequent the paradise there and each sets out to solve the crime first. It's only through much misadventure do they realize that together they can't be defeated.
Okay yes it does sound like something that is pretty ridiculous but, hey, it's based off a saturday morning cartoon and it works pretty well. Mathew Lillard steals the movie with his interpretation of Shaggy and some of the reported adult comedy has been dropped to do a safe family movie. My only real complaint is the obviously animated version of Scooby. I would think with the technology available today they could have made a Scooby to look much more realistic. **1/2

Summary: Groovy Movie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Review: OH MY GOSH! I LOVED THIS MOVIE! All the stupid critics say that it is dum, but I don't agree. I was really excited, yet nervous the first time I went to see it, because I worried that the charcters wouldn't be the same, and I heard avout a whole bunch of scenes that makes a refrence to Velma being a lesbian (which no true Scooby Doo fan would ever think that, I was apalled the first time I saw that) but they were all cut, and the movie gave me a new appreciation for my most unfavorite characters Velma and Fred, now I can't choose favorites. The plot line is so fun and upbeat and the end is really surprising, you won't belive it. Shaggy, Velma, and Daphne are on the dot, but they portray Fred as a self centered egomaniac. And Velma gets some style, but I can't tell you why. GO see the movie NOW! It rocks!

Summary: Scoody-Doo wasn't so bad!
Review: I took my younger brother to the movie thinking that I would be very bored and endede up enjoying the movie! It's really funny and great for kids. If you are a fan of Scooby-Doo I would recomend getting the movie!

Summary: Not worth it if your over 10
Review: This is no doubt a great film for kids, but anyone over 10, especially those who are big scooby fans from way back when, are going to be greatly dissappointed! The CGI version of Scooby is severely lacking to say the least, the one used in Jay and Silent Bob strike back quite frankly is better. The Scooby used in the actual Scooby Doo movie is not even a loose representation. Freddie Prinze Jr. although he does a good preformance, the character of Fred really makes you want to hate the guy. Velma, well she was pretty close to the character version however the bi sexuality thing was played out too obvious for a kids movie and the humor should have been saved for an adult version. Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is my favorite actress probably should have passed on playing Daphne, Sarah is far too talented for this film, nevermind this character.
I will give casting credit though, Shaggy, was totally 100% on the money, a perfect representation of the cartoon version, and really the only thing in the movie quite worth seeing!
But I gotta tell you even if you half enjoy the movie, the end is going to competely blow it for you.
