Summary: Funnier than bubble skirts
Review: This is a really funny movie, abit corny at times but you know it is meant to be that way.Adam Sandler has a similiar comedic style to whatsisname,Ross on Friends.Drew Barrymore plays her part terrifically as always. The movie is set in the 1980s,back when I was just a kid.And so was Drew. She was starring in movies like Firestarter around this time.Adam Sandlers chracter is a wedding singer but when he is jilted at his own wedding,he starts singing morbid songs,it's hilarious. It is sweet Julia(Barrymore)who will help him loooove again..awwwwwwww...Where was I?I'm finished now. It's a very good funny movie,so maybe anyone will enjoy it,especially if they lived in the dorky 80s.

Summary: He's a Material Girl or Boy
Review: Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) is happy being a wedding singer. He's going to marry a weird chick, but she ditched their wedding. Is there a purpose to keep singing? When he meets Julia (Drew Barrymore) everything clicks. Even the Boy George wannabe got jealous. Stop singing that awful song. Julia is going to marry, but doesn't know if her husband-to-be is fully devoted. Of course he isn't. He only cares about cd players and "Miami Vice." ... After a couple of weddings, the two begin to think more and more about each other. This is an ultimate chick flick, but it's definitely tolerable for any guy. Catch Jon Lovitz being a snobby wedding singer who can move like this! Love dosen't stink in this movie. But, that was a funny part with the fat guy, the sideburns lady and the mutants at table nine.

Summary: A Good movie
Review: I enjoyed this movie thourghly. It was funny and it was nostalgic even though it was made in 1996. It's supposed to take place in 1985. I think Adam Sandler did a great job playing Robbie Hart. He was funny, witty and kind of cute ;). Drew Barrymore was good as Julia Guilia or however you spell her last name.

The funniest part of the movie, to me was the end. I won't say a word about it because if I do a lot of people who haven't seen this movie will be mad at me. But all in all, it was a very funny movie and I think anyone who likes movie's that take place in the '80's should watch this movie.

Summary: Great Adam Sandler movie!
Review: I really like Adam Sandler's movies. This one is definately one of the better ones. It is about a wedding-singer, Robby Hart (Sandler). His wife just stood him up at the altar, and he later falls in love with the waitress from his wedding, Julia (Drew Barrymore). However, Julia is engaged to a jerk, Glen, and Robby knows that Glen has been seeing other women behind Julia's back but he can't tell her. This is a great movie, and any Sandler fan will like it. It's hilarious, go see it and have a good laugh!

Summary: THE LOVE STORY OF A WEDDING SINGER IN THE 80's
Review: SO IT'S PREDICTABLE. WHO CARES. IF THINGS WOULD'VE HAPPENED ANY DIFFERANTLY, YOU'D BE UPSET THINGS DIDN'T TURN OUT THE WAY YOU HOPED. SANDLER IS LEFT HIGH AND DRY BY HIS FIANCEE. HE GOES INTO DEPRESSION MODE. BARRYMORE IS ENGAGED TO A REAL CREEP. SO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT... THERE ARE ALOT OF TERRIFIC SUPPORTING CHARACTERS TO FALL IN LOVE WITH, LAUGH AT, OR WANT TO KILL. CHRISTINE TAYLOR IS WONDERFUL AS A 80's MADONNA CLONE. IF YOU CAN KEEP A STRIAGHT FACE WHILE WATCHING ALEXIS ARQUETTE'S BOY GEORGE IMPRESSION, YOUR NOT HUMAN. ALL AND ALL "THE WEDDING SINGER" IS AN ENJOYABLE ROMANTIC COMEDY FULL OF STICKY TREATS, DESPITE THE FACT THAT YOU KNEW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN BEFORE YOU EVER STUCK IT IN YOUR PLAYER.

Summary: My favorite romantic comedy of all time
Review: This is easily my favorite romantic comedy of all time. My enjoyment never decreases no matter how many times I watch it. Adam Sandler may put out a mediocre movie now and again, but he proves his acting skills in The Wedding Singer. The adorable Drew Barrymore pretty much breaks the world record for cuteness, innocence, and preciousness in her performance. Robbie Hart (Sandler) is a wedding singer who is a week away from marrying his sweetheart Linda. Julia Sullivan (Barrymore) is a waitress who has moved to the city to be closer to her fiancée Glenn, whom she fears is never going to set a date for their wedding. Robbie loves his job and loves helping all sorts of people, but his world crashes down around him when his fiancée never shows up for the wedding and later tells him she cannot possibly marry someone who is just a wedding singer in a small town. Julia is overjoyed when Glenn finally agrees to get married, but she begins to question her feelings as she spends more and more time with Robbie, whom she helps bring out of his Linda-induced depression. Both Linda and Glenn are thoroughly shallow, unworthy people. Naturally, there are all kinds of complications involved in Robbie and Julia actually acknowledging and expressing their feelings for one another, and the movie culminates in Robbie's desperate attempt to find Julia before she gets to Las Vegas and marries Glenn.

The theme may sound rather commonplace, and it probably is, but this movie works wonderfully. The entire cast is wonderful, from an older lady who pays Robbie for singing lessons with meatballs as she learns a song to sing for her husband on their 50th wedding anniversary, to Robbie's strange friend who dresses like Michael Jackson and patterns his life after Fonzie. Robbie's androgynous, Culture Club-loving backup singer George is a real hoot, and Billie Idol (yes, that Billie Idol) ably adds his own unique touch to the movie. Not only is the storyline wonderful, refreshing, and touching, the whole film is a treasure trove of 1980s pop culture. The soundtrack is a veritable smorgasbord of 1980s music, featuring some of the decade's most popular and most distinctive songs. There are references to the pop culture of the time strewn everywhere, making The Wedding Singer a veritable tribute to my favorite decade. Hilarious, sentimental, and touching, this movie finds its way into my VCR every few months, and I enjoy it more and more every time I watch it.

Summary: A great movie!
Review: I really enjoyed this film, it has a my favorite actor Adam Sandler, who shows a different side of him in this movie. Drew Barrymore also gave a nice performence. The movie just seemed so natural, and life like. The story is a great. Its a good love story between Sandler and Barrymore. The ending is just terrific.

Summary: The Wedding Stinker
Review: What's good about this movie? 1. Barrymore is quite charming. 2. Sandler actually tones down the schtick. 3. Two nice moments, one when Barrymore storms off and leaves her gift to Sandler all over his lawn, and one where Sandler looks at her window at night and misinterprets what he sees. 4. The concept of a wedding singer with a broken heart begs pathos but still has real possibilities with the right team. Which brings us to . . .

What's wrong with this movie? 1. To take a single scene as an example, you'd have to be a preteen to be convinced that Drew (or anyone) would kiss Sandler (or anyone) strictly as an experiment and not expect to feel something. 2. The fat- and old-people stereotypes behind the opening credits are enough to scare anyone away. 3. Ask yourself one question: In what way would the premise be unworkable if placed in the present? What do the '80s possibly have to do with anything in the plot, besides give older teenagers and twentysomethings their first dose of nostalgia?

Do I like the movie? Believe it or not, yes. Its sweetness overcomes its myriad faults. But three stars would have been an indication of my weakness for bad movies and not a true indication of the movie itself.
