Summary: One of Sandler's best films ever
Review: Adam Sandler took on new challenges when he agreed to make The Wedding Singer. It raised many questions like "Can Sandler sing?", "Can Sandler look like he was from the 80's?" , and the most popular question "Can Sandler do a romantic-comedy?" All were proven to be true when this movie came out. This movie shows Sandler's serious/humorous side as opposed to his rude/slapstick/dumb/humorous side. While his movies like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore were laugh riots, The Wedding Singer was able to have a strong point and still provide many laughs.

The Wedding Singer is about Robbie Hart(Adam Sandler) who is known as the best wedding singer in town. He is always in a good mood and can make everyone have a good time during the wedding reception. But when Robbie is left standing at the alter alone on his wedding day, and then later finds out his fiance will not marry him because of who he is, his new goal is to ruin people's weddings to make them as miserable as he is.

But through the movie, he develops a friendship with his fellow waitress at the reception hall, Julia Sullivan(Drew Barrymore). He soon falls in love with her. The problem is, Julia is getting married to a rich bachelor who has some of his own little secerets behind her back. Now Robbie must win her over before it is too late.

This movie is a romantic comedy that even a guy like myself can admit they liked. Sandler has outdone himself on this one. Hopefully he comes back with something as good as this one again after some of the major bombs he has been releasing.

"The Wedding Singer" runs for about 95 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for crude humor, some sex-realted dialogue, language, breif violence, and some alcohol abuse.

Summary: My favorite romantic comedy.
Review: I'm not a big fan of the genre of romance comedies. However, I never get sick of this one. Maybe it's because Drew Barrymore is really hot. Either way, I think this is a really great movie. I love the fact that it's set in the 80's and how they have so much great 80's things like the DeLorean, Miami Vice, the Madonna look, and all the other stuff. If you're a fan of romantic comedies, Adam Sandler, comedies in general, Drew Barrymore, or any of the above, this is your movie.

Summary: Adam Sandlers best
Review: This movie is incredibly funny and has a wonderful storyline. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have great chemistry together.
Even if you don't like some of Adam Sandler's movies, you will love this one. It's hilarious and sweet.

Summary: A Brilliant romantic comedy.
Review: This is such an excellent comedy from 1998 that became a suprise hit at the Box-Office, this is one of Adam Sandler's best with "Happy Gilmore" being number one.

It's set in 1985, a Wedding singer named " Robby Hart" ( Adam Sandler) has just got ditched by his girlfriend, now a lovely young waitress ( Drew Barrymore) befriends him but the problem is that she is already gonna get married and only Robby can give her his greatest performance.

A very entertaining and never boring comedy that will make you laugh and smile at the same time, it's also got a great 80's soundtrack that throws you back to the days of my childhood.

Summary: ok fine, i kinda dig this movie...
Review: I'm usually not into the romantic comedy genre, or Adam Sandler, but this is one movie i cant seem to get annoyed with. in a lot of romantic movies the characters are untolerably sweet and sappy, but the Wedding Singer has a likeable cast and enough "love can [be difficult]" banter to compensate for any genre related over-cheeriness. It may just be the fact that the movie starts out with an incredibly addictive song (You Spin me Right Round... i listen to the smashing pumpkins, but come on, who cant like that song??), or perhaps its such a relief to see Sandler not playing a completely incompetent jerk, but either way this is an enjoyable film to watch. The Wedding Singer is predictable to a fault and not outlandishly funny, but if you want to see something easy on the mind that creates a few chuckles, this movie more than satisfies that need.

Summary: One of Adam Sandlers best!
Review: If you are an Adam Sandler fan and you have not seen this somehow, you might as well go buy it you won't be dissapointed. A hilarious movie about an ex rock star turned wedding singer in the mid 80's. It's also one of the only movies with Drew Barrymore that didn't drive me completely nuts. Anyway its a great movie with a great cast (even Billy Idol shows up in this one) and a great soundtrack. A must see unless you absolutely hate really good really funny movies, than don't waste your time.

Summary: Who's Getting Married?
Review: The Wedding Singer is an all-time classic of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Those two made this movie an outstanding comedy. This movie is funny and romantic. It'a movie for the whole family.

The story starts out at a wedding in a Banquet Hall in 1985. There is Robby Hart (Sandler), a engaged wedding singer who is getting married next week. Then there is Julia (Barrymore), also engaged working as a waitress at the hall. Here is where the stuff hits the fan. At Robbie's wedding, he is standing at the alter and no bride. His fiancé Linda decides to dump him the day of the wedding just leaving him there at the altar.

Now Robbie is all alone and going insane. He can't stand singing at weddings anymore. He sings "Love Stinks!" at a wedding and getts beaten up for it. His friend Julia starts befriending Robby more and more and he pulls himself back together as he helps her plan her wedding to her rich, cheating, double crossing fiancé Glenn. So the two start falling in love. As they fall in love and Julia's wedding day gets closer and closer she is starting to have second thoughts while Glenn could care less if he gets married because he already has girls stashed on the sides. Robbie sets out to win her over. Julia is upset at Robbie because Linda shows up all of a sudden and she thinks they're back together (which they're not). So her and Glenn get on a plane to Vegas to get married. Robbie goes afetr her. He doesn't even realize that he's on the same plane as her. With the help of Billy Idol and a bunch of first class passengers, Robby can finally tell Julia how he feels. Will he get her?

This is a great comedy for the whole family to watch. It is a great movie for any Sandler or Barrymore fan.

Summary: Must have movie for romantic comedy lovers!
Review: Since the other reviewers have already done a terrific job of explaining what the movie is about, I won't go into that, instead I will give you my opinion about how good the movie is. I think it's a great movie. It's my favorite. I know not everyone will like it as much as I do, but here's who will enjoy it: Anyone who likes 80s music (there's alot in the movie), anyone who likes drew barrymore/adam sandler, someone who can remember the time around 1984 and people who enjoy romantic comedies. I thought it was very funny and sweet-but not too sweet, my husband enjoyed it-mostly because of Adam Sandler. All the actors were great, very enjoyable.

Summary: Won't be disappointed
Review: I'm wasn't really a fan of Adam Sandler, but I couldn't help but fall in love with this movie. It's witty with so much subtle humor laced throughout that you look for the goofiness each time you watch it. Enjoy.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: fun loving
Review: Adam Sandler for once plays a fairly normal guy and it really works in this movie. He's fun and compassionate and his romance with Drew Barrymore is believable. There's an 80's theme in this movie that helps the comedy (Flock of Seagulls look out) and other star appearances add to the fun as well. All in all, if you like Sandler, you'll most likely enjoy this film. If you don't like Sandler, you might be pleasantly surprised. I think you should give it a shot.
