Summary: Stink Home Alabama
Review: Reese Witherspoon's character is mean and totally without charm, to say nothing of some highly questionable outfits for someone claiming to be in the fashion industry. An excrutiating test of endurance.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: SUCKS!!! SUCKS!!! SUCKS!!!!
Review: This movie is horrible!!! It is so boring !! Now I love reese Witherspoon, but in this movie she didnt look that great in SWeet home alabama. its like 90 min of peeps talking with a southern accent. WHAT THE FCUK !!!!!!!! i rated this 2 stars because Reese looks somewat good. For a good chic flick, get
THE LIZZIE MCGUIRE MOVIE, MAID IN MANHATAN,LEGALLY BLONDE, AND CHARLIE'S ANGELS.

Summary: reeseWITHERSPOON is the future of hollyWOOD!
Review: A crowd pleasin' romantic comedy with a Reese Witherspoon happy ending. This was the best slice of bologna cake I've had in weeks. I liked the storyline of the film, it involves a young woman named Melony (Reese) who is ready to get married for a second time. Problem is she's gotta get divorced from her first husband. For that to happen she must leave her new life in New York and return to her old life in Alabama, where her husband remains. Besides Mrs. Witherspoon the film stars Josh Lucas (Reese's husband), Patrick Dempsey (Reese's husband to be), Fred Ward (Reese's daddy), Mary Kay Place (Reese's mom), Ethan Embry (Reese's friend Bobby Ray), & Candice Bergen (Partick's mom). One of the funniest lines in the movie is when up-tight Candice tells southern Mary Kay to go back to her double-wide and fry something. SWEET HOME ALABAMA is a delightful little movie that can be enjoyed by couples or single Reese fans like myself. Widescreen DVD features: 8 Deleted scences / Alternative ending with commentary intro / Director commentary of entire film / Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack / & more. Warning the alternative ending is awful, it's easy to see why it was changed. 4 stars.

Summary: Recommend for the Reese Witherspoon fans..
Review: I thought this movie was "cute" and funny. THe plot was sort of typical, but heart warming.
I DID purchase this movie after renting it.. and have watched it SEVERAL times since.
This movie is most definetly a "CHICK FLICK"..
I recommend for the ladies who love a good "chick Flick" or Reese witherspoon fans.

Summary: Lightning does NOT strike twice in the same place
Review: You know, before I saw the alternate ending to this movie, I didn't think it was all THAT bad. But that cut scene just put me over the top. This has got to be one of the cheesiest, intellectually deprived, and most idiotic romantic comedies in recent memory. Aside from being the typical cookie-cutter plot, without any speck of originality, there was not even enough humor to keep me awake. The best actor in this movie was the dog. Oh, and by the way, "Sweet Home Alabama" is a Lynyrd Skynyrd song, and should NOT be played by that stupid cover band in the movie. Don't even bother.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Well, I picked up this movie because I simply loved Reese in "Legally Blonde". That movie was a smash. This one is trying hard to capitalize on the Blonde fame.
Too predictable, the Southern rednecks were far to stereotyped and Reese was trying too hard, lovely as she is.
Sorry Amazon, but in my opinion you should NOT buy this DVD. Rent this on Blockbuster and you'll thank me...
I gave it 3 stars because it's sorta entertaining. That's all.

Summary: Awesome Girl Movie (fun for guys too!)
Review: I love Sweet Home Alabama! The music, the actors, the story, it is all great. This movie has a wonderful way of incorporating humor and romance into such a simple, down-to-earth storyline. The characters are awesome and all of the things that Reece Witherspoon's character goes through, is it any wonder she has a hard time deciding between her 2 love interests. The men she must choose between are a saavy, uptown guy and her down home first love. The story can appeal to anyone and touches the heart of any romantic. I recommend this movie to anyone wanting to laugh, cry, and have a good time all at once.

Summary: Sweet Home Alabama is a disgrace 2 reese witherspoons career
Review: This movie was terrible...It was just plain retarded not to mention predictable...Definietly wins the worst movie of the year award from me...Don't waste your time watching this small town hick love movie...**puke**

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Mediocore
Review: Not nearly up to speen with her preformance in Legally Blonde, this story is mainly given away on the cover where it says "Sometimes what your looking for, is right where you left it." Its a very cute movie but lacks realisation and is very predictable.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A charming safe choice
Review: I went to see this movie as a first date and both the guy and I enjoyed it. Reese Witherspoon has found her niche in romantic comedies. As for the reviewer who said she had the worst Southern accent. That accent is authentic. Reese is from Nashville, Tennessee and we do have Southern accents down here. One of the best casting ideas was Patrick Dempsey and Candice Bergen. I loved Bergen in Miss Congeniality and she once again shined in this. I am so happy to see her again in different projects. While the movie does follow the tried and true romantic comedy outline, it is still charming. The plays the do on the Southern culture and charming and in many cases, accurate. Don't knock us for our obsession with the War between the States! It's part of our heritage (something that Southernors take great pride in--obvious in the movie). Great movie and would recommend it if you love the genre of romantic comedies.
