Summary: too sexy, too funny
Review: All y'all know how rare a good comedy comes around. This year's best definitely has to be 'Zoolander'. This movie made me laughed so hard in the theater, I can't hardly wait to see it again on DVD. Totally original characters with clever jokes that poke fun at the lunatic and absurd high fashion world. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in fashion industry or have some knowledge about fashion background. In any case, this is THE comedy movie to watch if you're only seeing one this year!

Summary: ZOOLANDER
Review: Have you ever wondered why most male fashion models don't live past the age of 30? Well writer/director/movie star Ben Stiller attempts to answer that question by poking fun at the fashion model industry in the comedy ZOOLANDER. Derek Zoolander is one of the most famous male fashion models in the world, and a evil fashion designer is planning to brainwash Zoolander into assassinating the Prime Minister of Malaysia at an international fashion model show. This movie was much funnier and better than I expected it to be. You can't go wrong with ZOOLANDER!

Summary: Well-worth the money and time.
Review: ZOOLANDER is one of the funniest films I've seen this year. It was directed by Ben Stiller and stars Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller plays Derek Zoolander, a three-time champion male supermodel who lacks in brains and knowledge. All Zoolander cares about is winning the "Model of the Year" award for the Fashion Awards. And of course, women. Zoolander's biggest rival is Hansel (Owen Wilson), who is also determinded to become the world's greatest supermodel. When the big fashion awards ceremony come up, and special guest Lenny Kravitz announces the winner for "Male Model of the Year", Zoolander thinks he won so he goes up onto the stage in front of everyone, about to give his thank you speech when Lenny Kravitz whispers to Zoolander that Hansel had won and not him. Zoolander is very disappointed and embarrassed, and after the show, all he sees everywhere is photos of Hansel and gets jealous, even though he doesn't want to admit it. Anyway, he soon meets up with these people and they brainwash him because they want to kill the emperer of Malasha or some country like that because they had killed Zoolander's three friends who were also supermodels and now they are after Zoolander, because they think Zoolander will kill the emperer for them. It's got kind of a crazy plot, but then again, that's your typical Ben Stiller film! And although it sounds stupid, the comedy is actually quite clever. I went to go see this film with my dad and even he enjoyed it. The acting is really great, especially by the lead. And the film has you laughing from beginning until the end. It's a great film and I highly recommend ZOOLANDER!

Review: There are already a lot of reviews so I wont go into what the movie was about...but I loved it, thought it was clever, stupid, and just struck my funny bone in ohhhh that special way I like it whacked.

Summary: Not for everyone, one of the oddest things i've seen.
Review: I didnt really see the preview, but from the time the movie started rolling i had a thought. Wow... is this odd.

Zoolander is really really funny. But it's not funny because it's funny as in "incredibly good joke" funny. It's funny because you pretty much spend the whole movie saying "What the heck!" it's funny because the jokes and the delivery are so obscure, it's practically genius. Me as a person makes tons of obscure references, and the best way i can describe this movie is being stuck in a room with me for an hour and a half when i'm hyper.

Some people find me really, really, really, funny... and other people cant stand me.

I saw this movie w/ my best friend, and the funniest thing was watching him cringe... he hated it, and as soon as the movie began i figured he would.

I quote everything... and i loved mystery men, and i think Zoolander is something you should at least experience once. I havent laughed this hard in a long time. And it wasnt cause the movie was funny, but because it was stupidly something else... and that's part of its charm.

Summary: One of the funniest films of the year!!
Review: Zoolander is a polarising film, you either love it or hate it but
there's been nothing really similar this year. I suppose if you really hate the mere mention of fashion you might not like it, but really the parodies are so absolutely spot on you're really missing out on something funny. From the petrol fight scene to the day spa to the 2001 and Godfather II spoofs (totally integrated into the film), this film really hit the spot for me. There's little vulgarity or gross-out humour and the film is all the better for it with the film being original unlike its rivals which are mostly sequels. Austin Powers meets Clueless is how I'd describe the humour. The cell-phones, "Blue Steel", the thousands of cameos. It's just a great night out.
The cast is excellent expecially the ubiquitous Wil Ferrell outdoing Dr Evil ("That Hansel, he's so hot right now") and David Duchovny as a Deep Throat character, Jon Voight, Jerry Stiller and the rest. And of course, there is much male-model bashing. Excellent!

Summary: Mr Stiller, Your 15 Minutes Are Up ...
Review: Ben Stiller is the king of vulgar, crass and painfully obvious comedy -- the kind that makes the average network sitcom seem subtle and literary -- but this film proves that his retirement is long overdue. If you're intrigued by the thought of another monotonous performance by the "Jewish Jim Carrey" (without the manic energy, though), then by all means rush to the theater and plunk down your ten bucks -- God knows the economy needs all the help it can get!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Weak premise never really develops
Review: Let me start by saying I think Ben Stiller is hilarious but this movie has the depth of a Saturday Night Live skit. Once you get the joke that models are self-absorbed airheads there's not much left. The evil fashion empire that uses assassination to maintain its access to a cheap labor pool is a premise with some room but it never really goes anywhere. There's hardly any setup and no follow-through to make us care; without that foundation the jokes and slapstick just come off as obvious and hollow. Definitely give this one a pass.
