Rating: Summary: Stupid comedy about a moron Review: While Ben Stiller can be a hilarous actor, this movie wastes his formidible talents.Stiller plays Derrick Zoolander, the top male model and one of the world's greatest idiots. He was deposed by Hansel (Owen Wilson) in a fashion award show. Meanwhile, he discovers the fashion industry is plotting to assassinate the democratic prime minister of Malaysia. And he's the brainwashed assassin. This movie was loud and obnoxious, the jokes synthetic, and just utterly stupid. The characters are stereotypical and shallow, dialogue weak, and plot thread-bare. In other words, this movie is truly about the fashion industry!

Rating: Summary: not bad at all Review: I seem to remember Zoolander getting a lot of negative press when it came out. I was also worried that Ben Stiller might be stretching and his comedy would start getting flat. Well, after watching this, it proves you should always judge for yourself. The movie has genuinely funny moments and was enjoyable. Add Owen Wilson into the mix and you add a great writer/actor as well. So, give it a try and judge for yourself.
Rating: Summary: A refreshing surprise Review: No one was more afraid of "Zoolander" then I was. It looked like Hollywood, as feared, was turning into a factory pumping out one stupid flick after another, and it was taking Ben Stiller along with it. It looked like a bad take off on all of the goofy, dumb humor flicks we have grown to know and love. I was forced into renting one evening, and then forced to watch it (as though the thought of renting it did not torture me enough). Oddly, I found myself laughing throughout the whole movie, and it quickly won my heart. Zoolander soon turned into a delightfully stupid romp following Derek Zoolander [Stiller] and his journey to find himself. The cast of supporting characters only add to the joy in "Zoolander", with people such as Owen Wilson, Will Ferrel, Jerry Stiller and Christine Taylor. The plot basically simmers down to the following: Male model Derek Zoolanders career is no longer on the rise, and seems to be dimishing in comparison to the "new kid on the block" male model Hansel [Wilson]. He decides to go in search of what he is meant for because there must be more to life than "being really really ridiculously good looking". Meanwhile, a fashion designer Mugatu [Ferrel] is trying to find a dumb male model to knock off the president of Malaysia, and sets his sights on Derek. Meanwhile, a female journalist [Taylor] is trying to help Derek escape the grips of Mugatu. A great movie for a rental with friends evening, or a party, will surely get a laugh or two, even from the most cynical of viewers.
Rating: Summary: Huh? Review: "Zoolander" is one of those screw-ball comedies that comes out every once in a while. I didn't hate the movie, but I'm definitely not head-over-heels for it. The cameos in the movie are superb and I was suprised to see people like, David Bowie, Donatella Versace, and David Duchovny as a former "hand model." It really does have its funny parts, and mocks hilariously at models and the fashion world. The plot is stupid, but you just have to sit back and laugh at the performances. Ben Stiller is always hilarious, and his father, Jerry Stiller, is even funnier as the manager of "Balls Models". Will Ferrell of "Saturday Night Live" is a riot. He plays a designer named Mugatu, who brain-washes Zoolander. If you like comedies, I would at least rent it. Overall, I don't think its a memorable movie, but it is definitely entertaining.
Rating: Summary: Zoolander - best DVD so far Review: As soon as you put the DVD in the machine, the fun starts. The film had me laughing out loud, and the extras are the best on any DVD I have ever seen - and I own hundreds. This is how DVDs should be put together - even the commentary is entertaining. Ben Stiller is one clever guy.
Rating: Summary: Hilarious! Review: This movie is one of the funniest I've ever seen! If you like senseless comedy or/and Ben Stiller movies, this is a must! It is one of my favorite comedies! Get it!

Rating: Summary: Zoolander was Great. Review: Okay so he is really stupid in this movie, but that's what makes him funny. Zoolander is about Derek Zoolander, a male model, who is tired of just being 'really really good looking'. He decides he wants to help people, so he retires from modeling. He goes back to his home to work in the coal mines with his father. He finally gets hired by the evil guy ( Dang, I can't remember his name.) So he is brainwashed so that he will kill the prime minister of Malaysia when he hears the song 'Relax'. Of course he ends up not killing him. He ends up building the ' Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good, and Want to Do Other Stuff Good too. It has a happy ending.
Rating: Summary: I love Ben Stiller, but... Review: There were some funny parts, but not really worth the money I spent to rent it. Don't get me wrong, I love Ben Stiller, but this movie didn't bring out his true comedic talents. It kinda seemed to me like he was trying to make his own Austin Powers. That's just my opinion. The idea of the movie is funny, and it did make me laugh at some points, but Ben Stiller can do so much better. Sorry Ben!
