Summary: Just Great!
Review: Yes, this movie is really great-everything is on the highest level; it's the first movie in my life which I have been watched for about 10-12(!) times per two weeks. Just imagine this and you'll understand the whole meaning of this touchable, kindhearted and just funny story. Especially, the play of Sandra Bullock-bravo, Sandra! She was so beautiful, kind, preety, funny...well, just watch it, and you won't be dissappointed, believe me.

By the way, after being seeing this movie, I became the Sandra's fan, though I have never liked her as now.

Summary: A feel-good movie that is suitable for the whole family!
Review: I have watch this movie no less than 400 times since its release. The characters are so genuine and lovable; and I love to see Bill Pullman's every move and gesture, the chemistry between Bill Pullman and Sandra Bullock is just so heart-warming. I have it on video tape, now I am going to buy it in DVD!

Summary: WHY CAN'T HOLLYWOOD MAKE MORE LIKE THIS?
Review: This movie is a throw-back to the best of the romantic comedies. If you like your movies to leave you with a pleasant feeling, this is the one for you! My teenager daughter's favorite, my wife's favorite, becoming one of my favorites. See it with your sweetheart. [some light profanity]

Summary: ATTN DVD OWNERS....IN DD 2.0....BASICALLY STEREO
Review: This happens to be one of my wife's favorite movies, so when we got our dvd player I ordered on dvd. I was disappointed, however, when I played it that it only plays in digital stereo---not Dolby Digital, or even Dolby surround. Great movie.....really like it every time I watch it.

Summary: A true measure of Sandras' talent
Review: This is one of the great situation comedies that has come out of Hollywood for some time. Sandra does great, Bill is right at his comedic height, and all the extras that show up make the film what it is.

Summary: A Delightful Romantic Comedy
Review: This is my favorite movie. I watch it every Christmas, although it is a movie that a person can watch anytime. The characters are very real and you feel like you are right there. It is funny, a true comedy while it also allows you to feel other feelings, like loneliness. This movie I recommend wholeheartedly.

Summary: Sweet but not (too) overdone
Review: While You Were Sleeping represents the pinnacle in chick flicks. Girls, you already know what I'm talking about. But guys, if you're looking to score with the ladies as a sensitive, caring man, watch this movie with your girl. It's guaranteed to promote feelings of goodwill, kindness, and heartfelt gratitude on their part.

Like virtually all those movies in this genre, Sleeping one doesn't really deserve a review for its dramatic value. The entire plot hinges on a few engineered coincidences while the story, cute and engaging, wins no awards for its daring portrayal of real life. But as I said before, that's not what we're looking for. Lucy, a sweet, lonely young thing who works in a Chicago tollbooth, is ably played by Sandra Bullock. The love of her life, to whom she has never spoken, is Peter Callahan, a rich young playboy who rides the train to and from work every day. It all comes to head when his not so understanding friends push him into the tracks, necessitating his resuce (by Lucy, of course) and his subsequent move to the hospital. Here's where it gets interesting--Peter's family rushes in and in the confusion mistakes Lucy for Peter's fiance. Hilarity ensues as virtually all the family welcomes her with open arms without any idea of the mistake. It's only the younger son, Jack (Bill Pullman), who is suspicious, and in his search for the truth finds more than he bargined for.

The power of the movie is found in its two stars. Tension between Sandra Bullock (in her signature role, to be reprised in countless movies afterwards) and Bill Pullman are palpable, moving the silly plot along with their realisic chemistry. In the end, While You Were Sleeping is a lovely story about family, friends and love, and I highly reccommend it for anyone who needs a pick-me-up and have already seen Amelie.
