Summary: Fantastic. A Real Winner.
Review: While I went into the theater not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised. I laughed the entire way through both the first and the second time I saw it. While some parts were a bit predictable, overall it was an outstanding movie.

Summary: Take A Chance on this Film
Review: When this movie first came out in theaters, it looked funny, but i never took myself to the theater to see it. My friends who did see it said that overall, the funny parts were in the trailer. So, taking my friends advice, i waited until DVD to see it.

My friends couldn't have been more wrong about anything. This movie, from start to finish, was laugh out loud hilarious. All five of the members of Broken Lizard were funny as hell. There is a plot, but the you will never be thinking about the plot because you will be too busy composing yourself from laughing so hard at a joke.

Take my advice. Go BUY this movie. Forget renting it, you will want to own it when you finish watching it.

Summary: Funny kids vs. everyone
Review: Super Troopers was hilarious. I rented this DVD last night, and am buying it today because I consider on the level of some of the all-time funny movies like Fletch, Airplane, and Caddyshack. Some people said it was too silly and some didn't get why any of it was funny. I think the people that like this are like the guys in the movie ... people who just are funny all the time and don't need to put on an act. The people that don't like this movie either don't have a sense of humor or are have a sense of humor similar to the dumb towney cops in the movie. If you don't get it, no offense, but you've been the butt of these guys jokes before. I don't mean to make it a litmus test, but it kind of is. If you don't know guys like this, then you're missing out. This is the kind of movie I would watch to remind me of my crew of friends and to laugh hard. Don't take things too seriously, get nutty, and keep it real.

Summary: A funny movie that gets a bad rap
Review: I never saw this film in theaters. The reason I didn't was because the critics seemed to hate it so much I didn't want to waste my money. The other day, I rented it when I was standing at the video store and it was one of the only things left. I am so glad that I rented this film. I'll most likely go and buy it sometime next week. And here's why:
With a resin-caked genius, the guys in the comedy troupe Broken Lizard have made what is one of the most enjoyable and consistently funny films of recent years. It doesn't suffer from the third act unfunnyness that other comedies suffer when they sacrifice laughs and an established pace in favor of trying to wrap up a plot that wasn't that great in the first place. (A good example of this? How about the sometimes painfully bad ending to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - or any other movie where the plot and/or subplot love interest get in the way of comedy.) Here, although there is a love interest and there is a cohesive plot, one needent worry because these elements don't detract from the film at any point. Instead, the film keeps its spirit and pace going - never stopping to take ANYTHING seriously. There are very few gags here that don't work and if you're a fan of the aforementioned Jay & Silent Bob or Dude Where's My Car - this stoner comedy will most likely work for you. The film opens with a scene lifted out of Cheech and Chong's Up In Smoke - with a nice twist or two - and manages to maintain the energy throughout the film. Also, Brian Cox is brilliant as the head of the delinquent State Trooper post. So for fans of pot humor or films like Caddyshack or the original M*A*S*H* - this is surely a film you will enjoy. If you aren't a friend of the pot movies though - this film might make you wish you would have bought Serendipity instead.

Summary: Funniest Movie of the Year
Review: This is far a away the funniest movie of the year. Repeated viewings have me laughing out loud each and every time I watch the movie. I was shocked at how professional this film looked. This is the first movie for the Broken Lizard team, and what a debut. Brian Cox (the original Hannibal Lecter) does surprisingly well with this cast of unknowns. All in all a very funny movie that you owe it to yourself to see.

Summary: I wish I could give it zero stars!
Review: I usually love stoner stupid movies and was looking forward to seeing this movie. It is by far the worst movie I have ever seen. The writing is horrid and the acting is ridiculous. Save your time please!!! Rent 'Dude, Where's My Car' instead! Now thats funny!

Summary: sweetly dumb comedy
Review: "Super Troopers" has a wacky cartoon-like quality that turns what might have been just a typical, lame-brained police comedy into an infectious little romp. Prime credit goes to a quintet of performers known as "Broken Lizard," a New York and L.A. based comedy team that has appeared on stage together for the past 10 years. The five play Vermont State troopers who spend most of their time staging elaborate pranks and practical jokes to the befuddlement of all those who come in contact with them. The nice thing about "Super Troopers" is that it keeps the antics more or less life-sized, not allowing them to spill over into elaborate preposterousness. The officers seem more like shrewd, good-natured kids out having a good time than the mentally deficient whackos we usually find in films of this nature.

The comedy troupe consists of Jay Chandrasekhar (who also directed the film), Kevin Heffernan , Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske, all of whom had a hand in the screenplay as well. These actors obviously feel comfortable working together as an ensemble and the results show up on screen. Their interactions with one another have a sly, unforced quality to them that makes the comedy seem almost effortless at times. The film, therefore, has a kind of breezy charm that helps override the inherent silliness of the material. Of course, if you are offended by the very thought of using pot-smoking teenagers and drunk-driving law enforcers as sources of comedy, this may not be the film for you.

"Super Troopers" runs a bit too long and there are some arid spots that one has to cross over occasionally, but if you are looking for a crazy comedy that doesn't have to sweat and strain to get the laughs, you could do worse than this film.

Summary: The most original comedy to arrive in years.
Review: THis is without a doubt one of the best comedies to hit in years. The simple idea of state troopers pulling off college level pranks and there little feud with the local police is a pure classic.

That is the main idea. The story revolves around the state troopers who are about to be shut down because the local cops are doing things seemingly better than they are. They come across a smuggling scheme that is their ticket to setting things right. BUt it doesn't go their way and to try and fix this releases some very funny results.

This is highly original and is worth checking into for anyone. In the end it is for everyone.
