Summary: Almost too good!
Review: Features, features, features. Anyone who loves this film and loves special DVD features MUST buy this special addition. There are about 30 minutes of deleted scenes, hilarious bloopers and Mel Brooks tops it all off with insightful, intelligent commentary. A great DVD that does justice to one of the greatest classic comedies of all time. I couldn't turn it off.

Summary: Incredible
Review: Mel Brooks is without question one of the great comedy masters of all time, and Young Frankenstein has him true to his incredible form. One of the top ten must see comedy films of all time

Summary: Still funny after all these years
Review: This movie really stands up to repeated viewing. We watched this just recently and had to watch it again. It just might be the funniest movie of all time. It's also tender in places. Better than the original. Mel Brooks was never this good again. This parody of the Frankenstein series has some very hilarious sequences that include Dr.Frankenstein making people think his name is Fronkensteen or where he shreiks "It's Alive!" and Gene Hackman's side-splitting blind hermit. This made me laugh so hard I think that I almost exploded. (This review was written with the assistance of John Vicars III, future movie critic.)

Review: This film is one of the funniest movies of all time.

If you haven't seen this film then you're going to wonder why people are laughing uproariously at quotes such as "He'd rather do it himself", "Wait, I was going to make expresso", or "Abby Normal".

Summary: Mel Brooks @ His Best Ever!!
Review: The best part of Young Frankentein is the pronunciation of some of the characters. Lots of laughs and really does sometimes seem like the real Frankenstein movie.

Summary: "My grandfather's work was doodoo!"
Review: But this movie certainly wasn't! A hilariously funny movie that has to be the masterpiece of Mel Brooks. It doesn't appear to have been made on a very large budget, but must have been hugely successful judging from the long lines at the theatres.

Summary: "STAY CLOSE TO THE CANDLESTICK...
Review: ...THE STAIRCASE CAN BE TREACHEROUS!" Everyone in this movie is great:from Frau Blucher(NEIGHHH),to Igor(Could be worse, could be raining), to Madeline(Taffeta, Darling)! This movie is the FUNNIEST spoof of all time! Get it, you'll love it.

Summary: Buy the DVD format, even if you own the VHS
Review: Others have extolled the virtues of this film, and I take no issue with what they've said. This is fine, fine comedy.

More importantly, it's a fine, fine DVD. If you're wondering why there's buzz about DVDs, buy this film. Unlike some DVDs, which offer little more than a remastered version of the film print itself, this DVD is rich with all the features that the DVD format allows. With everything from a behind-the-scenes photo shoot, to cast interviews with Mexican TV, to a making-of featurette--and an optional running audio track by Mel Brooks--"Young Frankenstein" sets a high standard for a format which is still, after all, in its infancy.
