Summary: Fifth Season
Review: The fifth season was a little short compared to season 2, 3 and 4. They could have made a few more shows in my opinion it was not as good as the previous seasons, but I am a fan and chose to buy this season anyway. It could have been a little more interesting, but since Sarah was pregnant maybe this limited the writing and the shortness of the season. Still a fan mo matter what.

Summary: This Man Like Sex and the City
Review: Sex and the City rules from a male perspective. I started watching Sex and the City with my mother when it first aired and have not be disappointed by the show. This review is based on the whole six series of SATC. All the main characters are honest, funny, and shares a similar desire. Carrie's character is a sex columnist for a newspaper. Carrie uses her own personal experiences as well as her girlfriends experiences to compose a column about men, women, sex, and relationships. Samantha is extremely sexually active women who works in Public Relations. Miranda is smart, self assured lawyer who is cynical which leaving her to fake her emotions about relationships. Charlotte is prim and proper Park Avenue women who goals are to get married and have a family.

The reason why I like SATC is because it give a comedic version on sex and relationships. No matter what happens to your own social life, you can watch SATC and share the same humorous episode of what Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte did, and learn to laugh a upon at your own situations. These six series will be treasured and revisited by me.

Summary: So Smart
Review: This show is so smart and sexy, I really don't care about the price. All that matters to me is the entertainment value -- and that is superb. SATC is to fiction what the "New Sex Now" dvd is to non-fiction; once you discover it, your life can and will never be the same.

Summary: Shame on HBO
Review: In shopping around and doing some price comparisons the average cost of this DVD is $32 - $41. How dare HBO charge the consumer the identical price of seasons 1-4. The DVD only contains 8 lousy episodes. I refuse to pay full price for half the product. It's cases like this that I say the He** with the industry crying over piracy. First they sat around doing NOTHING to be proactive about stopping piracy before it got out of control as it did. Then instead of looking at their own inactions they started to sue teenagers as a fright tactic. This DVD represents the reason why people were stealing the product. They've been raping both the consumer and artist for many years now with insanely inflated prices and pennies on the dollar for the artist. I say they got exactly what they deserved no sympathy here. Greed can be very ugly indeed.

Summary: It ain't so hot in the city
Review: I got this season since last year, and only finished watching it tonight. It's the shortest to date, but by far the most boring. I knew that it was only two discs for the price of three, but as I already have the other four seasons I went ahead anyway.

There's not much happening in Season 5, with Miranda and Samantha coming off the worst, and the episodes are lacking the spirit and originality of the previous seasons.

Unless you are collecting the series on DVD, this is better as a rental or on loan.

Only two discs, but it feels like four long ones.

Summary: Wait for Season Six
Review: The producers of Sex And The City seem to have gotten it back together for Season 5 after a whiny Season 3 and a quirky Season 4. As a fan, though, I am sorely disappointed that a half-season has been priced so high. I'm expecting Season 6, when it does appear, to accommodate the loss that this release will incur, so their combined prices will complete the insult to collectors worldwide. No thanks, I'm waiting for the next season. And if you're reading, HBO, please do include real special features in your next release -- like the farewell episodes of the series and perhaps a guide to the gals' wardrobe.

Summary: Love the show-hate this season!
Review: To echo the sentiments of fellow Amazon-ers that were equally disappointed with this dramatically shorter, yet BORING season of SATC...it stinks! I'm an avid fan that typically collects what I love, but hey...half the season, half the price!

As with others...I'll anxiously await season 6!

Summary: I cancelled my order
Review: I cancelled my order after reading these reviews. I agree that the price should be lower if it is only 8 episodes. I didn't really realize that this was the case , until I read the reviews. I'll wait for the entire season 6 to become available.

Summary: HOT
Review: As always, SATC Rocks! A must have....if for no other episode than "The Big Journey."

Summary: HBO Is Disappointing
Review: No doubt that the DVDs of this series is the most sought after. But HBO is just too much! Pricing $32 for 8 miserable episodes! If you want to fight piracy, you should respect people who buy original copies by pricing the DVDs reasonably! The most I'd pay for 8 episodes would be $15! And you know what? A lot of people turned to the pirated copies because of the arrogant people such as those in HBO demanded an unreasonable price!
