OK for SEX you could not have asked for a better season. It was beautifully done, and WORTH EVERY PENNY. As soon as I got it, I could not put it down and I had a 12 episode marathon. However, I am not an HBO subscriber, because I choose not to pay their rates. So, 30 bucks for this, was not a big deal.For those of you who are, and think its a crime to charge decent rates for one of the finest pieces of television in years, get a DVD recorder, and just make your own copies, DUH! Shame on you all, for robbing the producers,creaters, and actors of this FABULOUS show, of an ACTUAL review of its content, possibly costing them business. My only complaint, when or if part two is coming??????

Review: I love this series! I have all the seasons so far. I have looked around and it's my experience that Amazon.com though it's new and used options sells the cheapest dvd's. I noticed so many people complaining about the price. My response is to stop complaining. It's not a req. to purchase this or any dvd. (...)The only thing I hate about the series is its packaging. Why hasn't someone told them that this packaging is too cheap? I have three seasons that have fallen apart because of the cheap plastic they package the dvd's in. * Having said that, purchasing the six season on dvd was worth it. The episode that I love the most of the first part is "A Women's Right to Shoes" It's so rare that you hear someone speak the truth about being single and how we look down at those that don't comply to the norms like getting married and producing children. I love that Carey didn't justify her life style by putting down her married friends. She's happy in the episode to celebrate the life choices of her friends and only wants that in return. Very well done and impressive series.

Summary: I Cancelled My Subscription to HBO
Review: In this day and age, grubbing for profits at the expense of the customer has become routine. However, customers have buying power and they should learn to use it to relay the idea that this type of business practice doesn't work. I will not be buying this Part 1 of Season Six DVD set. I own all five seasons, and buying the fifth season was difficult to rationalize, but I wanted a complete collection. I draw the line here. I cancelled my subscription to HBO and will not be purchasing this wickedly retarded half-season set. The executive who made the decision to split this season up is an idiot.

Review: I have to agree, I thought it was crap that Season Five was full price and pretty lame in general as a season. I just consider it a transition season to pave the way for Six. Filming for Five was practically rushed due to pregnancies and uncertainty of the show's direction. Water under the bridge. When Six premiered, I felt like HBO and the ladies totally redeemed themselves. SO, my advice is to get over the fact that it is split into two volumes and to take that other woman's advice: Target and Best Buy can have really good prices and no waiting! If you are truly a fan/addict, you are going to pay no matter what. That is honestly what it comes down to, that fact.

Review: This is the best show ever, period. I don't want to be rude, but if you're just gonna complain about the price, give it up! HBO is charging you top dollar for this DVD, it's not like they're oh I don't know hiking up gas prices which is something we all have to buy. If you don't want to pay for this DVD, don't! If Carrie can spend $485 on some Manolos to celebrate her general fabulousness, I think we can take a lesson from her and splurge $40 on some DVD's!
Now onto the good stuff. This is an amazing series and the final season did NOT dissapoint. There were so many wonderful, touching, gorgeous and hilarious scenes. Don't listen to all the cheap people out there, if you are single, fierce and fabulous (or just love great shows), regardless of your gender or age, you will relish watching this group of amazing women support each other. So don't wait any longer, get this DVD!! Oh and if you're having trouble understanding why they split the season up, just consider it foreplay and think how great it will be when part two comes out!!! :)

Review: First of all, the cover looks just plain stupid. The original coverart proposed for season 6 was much better (TVshowsonDVD.com) And why the split? If they can fit 18 episodes on 3 disks why not 20? It's not like SATC comes with super cool bonus features... I cancelled my order and will wait to see what they'll come up with for pt2...

Summary: HBO should really be ashamed...only HALF the season???
Review: Okay, I bought this for my wife as a gift (like the other Sex in the City dvd sets). We haven't got HBO and so it's a bit of an exciting day when I bring the latest season home. Needless to say, I was pleased when the box from Amazon arrived. What a letdown to find that this dvd set, priced like the others, is only half of the final season. HBO should really be ashamed at its ridiculous wringing of its customers for extra dollars. HBO dvd division, if you're reading this by chance, please know that YOU SUCK. Thanks for doing us wrong at the very end. So are you going to put the rest of the season on the Season Six Part Two disc? Or will there be a Season Six Part Three coming out later? Part Four? Why don't I just send you my bank account number and you can draft it once a month? Punks.

Summary: Great DVD Set! High Price?
Review: I LOVE Sex & the City and was so glad when it was available to buy! Unlike some of the other folks, I didn't sit on the couch complaining about price. I drove myself to Wal-Mart and bought it for $29! You have more than one option, people! It's a great series and if you love the show, you HAVE to have the DVD set.

Review: Oh come on, this is ridiculous. I have all of the episodes on my TIVO and intend to keep them there until ALL of the episodes are available on DVD for a reasonable price. I purposedly kept HBO so that I could the finale and I have all of the other seasons. This is a slap in the face to the fans that have been loyal to the series since it began.
