Summary: ROYAL WORST MOVIE MADE
Review: Without a doubt the worst movie made. Some "movie stars" must have been hurting for a job when they signed up for this or some major misrepresentations were made to them. Save your money and watch some paint dry. You will be ahead of the game.

Summary: amazing...words from a teenager
Review: I am a typical teenager who watches typical teenage movies and enjoys them. Of course, I like "real" movies too, and one of my favorites is "The Royal Tenenbaums." It's a dark comedy, it is not a full-fledged gross out, it's the subtle details that some might miss that are hilarious. The cast is great, Gwenyth Paltrow is fantastic as depressed eyeliner-wearing Margot, Ben Stiller plays a part very different then others and looks great in the Adidas tracksuit, and Luke Wilson does excellently as well. Not everyone will like this movie, not everyone will hate it. Give it a chance - rent it, whatever. In my view, it's a masterpiece and I'm glad I own it on DVD. And the extras are just fantastic as well, it gives me a better view of the movie.

Summary: Royal Tenenbaums
Review: A very dry comedy. Not my type of movie. A 50/50 chance to either love it or not. Take your chances.

Summary: The Royal Imbociles
Review: This movie was a major let down. Cast had a lot of potential, but no kenetic comedy. Unlikeable characters with no depth. Didn't work well together. As for the end of this horribly long movie, I just didn't make it there... waste of time for these incredible actors :(

Summary: A royal disappointment
Review: The critically-acclaimed Wes Anderson film 'Rushmore' was built with a strong cast, phenomenal soundtrack and a script that made the film roll along with the caffeinated highs and lows of adolescence.
'The Royal Tenenbaums' has the same Wes Anderson 'feel' to it and is blessed with a marvelous soundtrack, but TRT trudges along at a snail's pace. The viewer really has to suspend belief throughout the film (which is OK), because every character is outrageously disfunctional and attempts at humor just made me realize how pathetic and unsympathetic Anderson's characters were. The plot was also pretty hard to follow at times, but maybe that was because I was fighting off sleep.

In short, the film was too dark and sluggish to be enjoyable. I left Rushmore feeling refreshed. I left TRT half-asleep.

Summary: boring as hell!
Review: I rented this video thinking it was a comedy. I was so wrong.
After 40 minutes I was falling asleep, I pushed myself into the end of it, and it didn't get any better.
Bad movie, bad theme, boring, you can invest your time staring at the wall, I can guarantee you will be happier!

Summary: Pathetic Story
Review: Hands-down, The Royal Tenenbaums is the stupidest movie ever made. I think they should drag the people who made this sorry excuse for entertainment, out of their world and force them to watch it.

Summary: A+
Review: I thought that the Royal Tenenbaums was an excellent movie. It was extremely well done and the acting is wonderful. The movie isn't too funny but it is definetly one of the best films of 2001.

The cast is excellent including Gene Hackman, Gwyneth Paltrow,, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Danny Glover, and Angelica Houston. Gwyneth Paltrow plays the adopted child in the tenenbaum family. She is married to Bill Murray. Their marriage is not going to well and she is feeling depressed. Ben Stiller plays Chaz Tenenbaum. He is very over-protective of his children and hates his father the most of all. Finally, Luke Wilson plays the third tenenbaum child who grows up to be a famous tennis player. He has fallen in love with his (adopted) sister Margot (Gweneth Paltrow) and knows they cannot be together therfore making him very depressed. Finally Gene Hackman plays Royal Tenenbaum, a father who has not seen his family in a very long time and he has just been kicked out of his hotel. He has no where to go so he lies to his family and says he is going to die in 6 weeks to get a place to stay and spend more time with them.

I strongly recomend this movie and I loved it. I hope my review was helpful to you.

Summary: Incredible
Review: A mix of drama, humor, and pure absurdity this movie manages to feel incredibly real even in the weirdest moments. Easily the best movie of the year because it manages to be great and different at the same time. Rarely do ensemble cast movies work so well.
