Summary: Really enjoyed!
Review: I took my wife to this movie since it was her turn to pick one out (I was all up for seeing Lord of the Rings AGAIN!!). I brought my Palm Pilot to keep me awake through this as I'm not big fan of romances, not even romantic comedies.

Well, the Palm Pilot never came out. This was truly a wonderful movie to see. It was funny. The three stars are Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, and (surprisingly) Keanu Reeves.

Jack Nicholson plays an old man hot on the trail of younger women. He meets Diane Keaton, his young girlfriend's mother, and develops a (somewhat strained) relationship after having a heart attack and being forced to recuperate at her house. Keanu Reeves plays the Doctor (when he walked in I said, "Oh, no!! Not Keanu Reeves playing a DOCTOR!!!!") that helps Jack recover, but also develops a love interest in Diane Keaton as well. Okay, I'm not what you would call "a Keanu Reeves fan"... but he actually did a great job in this movie... except the parts he was playing a doctor.

Highly recommended. Prepare to be entertained and have you laughing from start to finish.

Summary: SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE
Review: "Something's Gotta Give" is a pretty good movie. However, the storyline is very predictable and the movie seems to drag on forever. The transitions used between scenes toward the end make it seem like each transition is going to fade into the credits, but no, the movie continues to drag on. It doesn't drag on enough to put one to sleep, but it does move painfully slowly in the last hour. Also, it's geared more toward the middle-aged crowd. If you like the trailer, you'll probably like the movie.

Summary: WHY GO OUT FOR HAMBURGER. ..WHEN YOU CAN GET STEAK AT HOME!!
Review: Something's Gotta Give was a sheer delightful fantasy. What a trip and about time. Just because a female is over the hill doesn't mean it's time to put her out to pasture. All the actors were wonderful and the story line as well. We're not talking Dr. Zhivago, folks, this is a comedy! Waiting now for Something's Gotta Give II. Frances McDormand needs a man as well, and SINCE there was one left over...why not? On second thought, how about just sending ME the leftovers.

Summary: Jack Plays Jack and Keaton Does Woman on the Verge...
Review: ...of a Sensual Reawakening.

It is very funny and very touching at the same time, this romatic comedy about the one guy that your daughter brings home (The *one guy* you'd hope she never does). When Jack goes thru his usual histrionics and responses, it is way funnier than thing any offered on sitcom TeeVee. This ugly satyr always gets the object of his desire...except, if he has a nasty chest pain or a heart attack or two. Which then makes him come face to face with his mortality. Or, in this case, the unrobed mistress of the house. To me, it is somehow fitting that Keaton is in both movies starring exLotharios Nicholson and Warren Beatty (Town and Country). However, in Town and Country she is the woman as wife to the adulterer. Here, they flipped the script a bit and play her as the woman to be desired and the filmakers do her justice by showing her beauty, wrinkles and all.
You will be stunned as Keaton walks thru the door, dressed to go out to dinner with the younger Reeves. (There were audible gasps in the theatre my wife and I attended.)

Unfortunately, however, you can see where the film is going to end up a mile away. But before that happens you will see two of Hollywoods best--at the top of their games, sparring one another. That alone is to be enjoyed.

Summary: intelligent and hilarious
Review: A superb movie about advancing maturity. Yes, Nicholson might overdo a bit the famed sardonic smile and look, and the old curmudgeon/escapist tricks, but al ot more intelligence in this movie than the comedic aspects let you grasp at first. And superior acting. Both Keaton and Nicholson still have it (by the way, Keaton sure wears her high-class outfits well, and still has the charm and the "it" (the 'je ne sais quoi'). Not for the and sorority bunch, the blow-them-up-and nuke-em crowds, or those born in the 70s or later. Watch out for Oscars. Don't miss this gem!!!

Summary: Great Expectations Fulfilled
Review: This was a great movie. Stars of the movie was Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. While the ending was a bit on the unrealistic side. I've enjoyed how they address the issues of aging, sexuality, divorce, starting over with a whole lot of humor. This gets my vote.

Summary: Something's Gonna Give - My Bladder for one!
Review: The stars are great in this movie, and its them that deserves all credit for this movie! Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson are wonderful, and so natural and likeable. Too bad they are in a Nancy Meyers movie that drags on and on and on and on and on. You know how it will end hours before it does! And yet it rambles on for over two hours! Reminds me of another Nancy Meyers film WHAT WOMEN WANT. She needs an editor to keep the pace going! Every guy in the theatre ran to the bathroom once the credits started! I believe the women were just as desperate to get there! Please please hire somebody to edit your next movie!!!!

Summary: It's about Nothing....
Review: Standard cliche romance type picture with Jack Nicholson playing the so-called lead part in a movie from both Colombia Pictures and Warner Brothers, so full of predictable plots and sub-par acting that it should be recalled "Someday they will make movies again."

Summary: Good, funny movie
Review: This movie was a little long, but very cute. It was funny, romantic and life-touching. The movie keeps you laughing most of the time. It was also interesting watchin Jack Nicholson play such a sensitive role!
