Summary: A long-awaited piece of unearthed treasure!
Review: I was overjoyed when I saw this availabel on DVD. I only saw part of it once on TBS many years ago, back in the days when they used to show cheesy, rare or obscure but good movies, and it was never available on video until recently.
I got the DVD last night, watched it, and was extremely impressed with the clarity of the mastering, and the film print they used was superb! You would never know that this is a budget-line DVD, as the quality is that good! ...
For the movie itself, I really enjoyed it. You had Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher doing the writing, and so it's as every bit as good as the TV show. Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis were and are one of the greatest (though underrated) comedy teams; I esepcially liked Herman's shout of "Car 54, where are you!".I see there's another Marilyn here, which can be a little hard to take, especially if you like Pat Priest. "The Munsters' Revenge" is good in its own way (though it seems a little dated now), but this is required viewing if you're a Munsters fan. Go get it!

Summary: Classic Munster laughs...how can you not love Herman?
Review: If you are a Munster fan, you will love this one. Herman is at his best in England along with the rest of the cast. This has another new Marilyn though so don't look for Beverly Owen or the lovely Pat Priest. I enjoyed the antics of Lord Munster as much as I did in the series.

Summary: Call me Lord
Review: In their first movie, Herman's uncle dies and bestows upon him lord of Munster Hall, which is in England. The whole family packs up, Herman, Lilly, Grandpa, Eddie, Marylyn, and head to England. The trip is on a cruise ship where Herman gets sea sick, Grandpa turns himself into a wolf and can't turn himself back, and Marylyn finds romance with a rival of the Munsters. Once they arrive in England, Lady Effigy and Freddie Munster, who throws a temper tantrum because he was not named Lord Munster, greets them. The greeting is in the form of a haunted house that make Herman and Lilly feel at home. Herman enters an auto race to uphold the family honor and he and Grandpa discover the secret of Munster Hall.

The quality of the DVD is good.

Herman is really Green!

Summary: 'COLORIZED' MUNSTERS KEEP YOU ENTERTAINED! PLOT IS BORING.
Review: IT'S GREAT TO SEE 'THE MUNSTERS' IN COLOR FOR THE FIRST TIME. THIS IS THE ORIGNAL CAST. ALL EXCEPT MARILYN. AND IT WAS FILMED BACK IN THE '60's WHEN THEY WERE IN THEIR PRIME. NOT LIKE THE NEWER ONE CALLED 'MUNSTERS REVENGE'. THEY WERE MUCH OLDER IN THAT ONE. AND DIFFERENT WRITERS. (DON'T RECOMMEND) BUT IN 'MUNSTERS GO HOME' THERE'S SOME HUMOR. BUT NO LAUGH TRACK. AND THE PLOT CAN BE SOMEWHAT BORING AT TIMES MAKING THE MOVIE DRAG A LITTLE. WHATEVER SCENES HERMAN GRAMPA AND LILLY ARE IN ARE INTERESTING. THERE'S ALSO SOME GREAT FOOTAGE OF THE 'MUNSTER KOACH' AND GRAMPA'S 'DRAGULA'. OVERALL, IF YOU ARE A MUNSTERS FAN-YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Summary: The Munsters Greatest Adventure Yet!
Review: Its great to see the Munsters again, and this time in "Techocolor".

The family travles to England to claim the inherited castle from Hermans' family that 'adopted' him.

The movie explains here and there, the history of the family name "Munster".

And, the return of the 'Drag-U-La', from the Tv series, is now racing in one of the greatest races in England.. and Herman is behind the wheel.

This is where the rocker "Rob Zombie", received his idea of the song "Dragula", and infact various parts of this movie is played during the concert while Zombie sings.

If you are a Munster fan, this is a must to add to your collection.

Summary: Huh Huh Huh Huh! Herman says!
Review: The old Munsters series is great and this movie is supreme! If you loved the old show then you got to get this one. This movie still contains the magic of the show and the times unlike the later movie made "Musters Revenge" which is also in my collection but not nearly as good as this one. If only there were more to get on the Munsters! I have the DVD version of Munster Go Home and the quality is excellent! Buy it!

Summary: A "MUNSTER" of a DVD
Review: The resulting picture/color restoration in this DVD transfer cannot be overemphasized! Absolutely STUNNING, and crystal clear audio to boot. Positively the best looking copy of this 60s favorite I have ever seen! Herman would be proud!

Summary: The DVD .... not the movie
Review: This movie is great fun...but the DVD is another example of GoodTimes Video's electing to push crap on an unsuspecting public. The movie studio needs to release this one....and in WIDESCREEN.
