Review: If you havnt already seen this movie you have atleast heard of it wright! Well if not im not going to go into the story and all just belive me when i say this is a great movie at a great price. a classic!

Summary: Funny and unpredictable
Review: We don't typically like R-rated films. We have found a lot of violence and sex to be cover-ups for a lack of plot. In this movie, the violence is done in a very British, Monty-Pythonish way (as opposed to a Texas Chainsaw Massacre way!) that kept us laughing, even when people were being killed. The movie had enough tension to keep it interesting. We did have a hard time understanding some of the dialogue, but we were able to keep up with what was going on. The movie was thoroughly entertaining. My husband, who likes hardly any movies, loved it. We will watch this movie again!

Summary: Truely Authentic
Review: Watch this movie from start to finish once. Are you confused? Good, now is it because of the five sub plots or the cockney accents? One must admit that after a first viewing, to feeling a little lost and dumbfounded to what had happened. After a second or third viewing, the intricacies of the cockney accent (which Ritchie caught a lot of heat from critics for) begin to finally click with the viewer, and every other line causes laughter. Aside from the violent, underground crime theme in the movie, such ideas as camaraderie among friends (whether it with the main cast, the horticulturalists, or Dog's gang) also manifest themselves a great deal and allow for cohesion among the characters, making it truely believable that they have been together for quite some time. The authentic East London dialogue gives an interesing feel for all the characters, where they are truely representational for their characters. Overlooking this title would be more than a mistake on your part.

Summary: Best of its kind
Review: Lock, stock and two soking barrels is the kind of movie that put other moivies to shame. In my oppinion This movie is a great example if Arnold Swartzenager (sorry about the spelling) joined Monty Pythons Flying Circus. It is just that funny. Must buy or at least rent movie.

Summary: brimming action with bruising comedy
Review: funny from the get go and explosive in the action. Guy Ritchie pulls you into a world of criminals. Dexter Fletcher, Jason Statham, Sting, Vinnie Jones, Jason Flemyng are some of the cast that do great work in this great movie. with hilarious storys about killing a man with a dildo. the cast is really lively. the black man with the afro is awesome. catch the action lads.

Review: ok, if u really want the REAL movie, try to find the british version of it. The american and canadian versions cut out some of the funniest and more hardcore scenes of the orginal flick.

Summary: "What did you shoot him with, an air rifle?"
Review: There are two types of cinematic criminals - the suave and smooth experts embodied by Newman and Redford in "The Sting," and . . . the other kind. Guy Ritchie's "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" is a film about those "other kind" of criminals. Three friends fund a poker player named Eddie (Nick Moran) in a high stakes game with a local gambler named Hatchet Harry (P.H. Moriarity). The sneaky Harry fixes the game and imposes a huge debt upon Eddie. Unless Eddie and his friends can come up with the money, enforcer Barry the Baptist (Lenny McLean), will start doing unpleasant things to them. However, there's a way out - if Eddie's father (Sting) turns the ownership of his pub over to Harry, all debts will be forgiven. Needless to say, Eddie's father isn't fond of the idea and a "Plan B" must be formed. With the help of some criminal neighbors, antique shotguns, drug money, and a whole lot of luck, Eddie and his buddies somehow squirm their way out of their predicament. "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" plays like a stylistic mobster film mixed with a screwball comedy. The film has its grim elements but its tone is surprisingly light as Jason Flemyng, Dexter Fletcher, Jason Statham and Moran come across as a darker version of the Marx Brothers. The outrageous situations the four men continuously find themselves in are always amusing even with the continuous presence of gunshots and crude language. In addition, Ritchie's clever camera work and layered narrative gives the film a fresh, hip feel. "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" proves the point that while watching films with expert criminals at work can be engrossing, watching films with inept criminals at work can be just as amusing.

Summary: Lock, Stock and Two Stars
Review: This movie was advertized as a comedy. Sorry to say, I don't think so. English do have a different sense of humor than Americans but they do make funny movies. In "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" you may find an occasional chuckle or two but deffinately not funny. I fail to see humor in drugs, guns, organized crime, psychotic behavior and bloodshed. I was disappointed in the lack of humor...this is not a comedy for someone really wanting a good laugh.

Summary: Lock, Stock, and a bunch of smokin' babes
Review: Pros: Good cast,although the actors seem a little wet behind the ears for this milieu (I can't believe I actually used that word! I hate that word!) If Quentin Tarantino and Groucho Marks had a kid, this is what it might look like. Very entertaining-- especially with the captions on. Pre-Madonna Ritchie, before he stopped thinking for himself. It looks cool, like a black leather jacket that makes you feel like a badass!
Cons: Seems as though the makers of this movie only cared about the way it looked as opposed to character development and a tight and comprehensive plot. Still worth a look, just rent it before you make the decision to purchase. The soundtrack is good too.
