Summary: A One Of A Kind Classic Gem! When Will We See The DVD?
Review: I received a copy of this film from my best friend, who came across it accidentally. I have totally fallen madly in love with the entire cast of this movie. The performances are excellent! This has to be by far one of the best films ever made. I cant understand why it is not available on DVD here in the states. I will probably hold out for another couple of months, just waiting to see if it will be released on DVD. If not, I will by the Asian version that is available overseas. I understand it can be played in all regions.

Summary: I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Review: Being a 20 year old straight male, you would think a movie like this could'nt possibly interest me - THINK AGAIN! I happened to be at my brothers home (yes, he's gay) and he asked me to watch this film and give him an opinion on whether or not to show it to our parents. I did not know what I was in for. This film had me glued to the couch - in the same way Krazy Glue suspended that man from the skyscraper by his safety helmet. This movie made such an impression on me, it took time to sink in that this was a love story involving 2 young men. Immidiately, I purchased the home video. To the powers that be: I hope there is a DVD version soon!

Summary: Not your usual jaded view of gay relationships
Review: I am sick of watching gay movies that paint depressing pictures of gay relationships. A romantic and cheerful movie, with cute actors too! Its a movie for anyone and everyone who is in a relationship, gay or otherwise. And yes, mothers and fathers too :)

I agree with most of the people here - Amazon, we want it in DVD! UK has released this, but it does not carry any extra features. But hey, its still DVD!

Summary: Life is "Beautiful Thing"!
Review: I had no idea when I first rented this that it was gay themed. I thought it was about two best friends from the cover of the box... maybe I just wasn't paying attention. But sometimes you come across a movie by accident that grabs your heart and doesn't let go and "Beautiful Thing" is that sort of movie. It was so sad and tragic in that these two friends weren't going to be accepted for the love they found, yet so full of celebration for the loved ones we are fortunate enough to find and have in our lives. I don't think this movie is specifically for gay people, it's got too much heart for that. The title really knows that this movie is a beautiful thing. I also saw "Heavenly Creatures" the same night and it was a dark and depressing view of the same subject. But what is cool about both movies is that they are honest with the feelings that we have about our friends, whether we acknowledge them or not.

Summary: BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY WAY!
Review: This is not your typical gay movie. This film will grab your attention, then suck you in faster than the black hole itself. Its nice to see a gay themed film that's full of heart, and not tragedy, or AIDS related issues. I agree with the majority of people who have posted their reviews - Their should be a DVD version.

Summary: Simply The Best! Waiting For The Sequel + DVD!
Review: I just finished watching this movie with a few friends, and cant believe what a great experience it was. This has to be the best gay-themed movie I've seen by far. The cast as an ensemble is first rate. I'm hoping the way this film ended, means a sequel is on the way. I am disappointed however, this film is not on DVD. A plea to Sony Pictures: Please issue a DVD version soon.

Summary: A Masterpiece.... But where's the DVD?
Review: I can go on and on about this movie, but I wont. All I can say is see it for yourself. And to the people at Amazon: Could you possibly request copies of this film on DVD, for the many of us out here who'd buy them up in a New York Minute.

Summary: The Best Gay Film On The Planet - And I'm Straight!
Review: This is a winner! I became so involved in the story and characters, I forgot this film was a gay love story. If only people here in the states could write stories like this! Patiently awaiting the DVD release.

Summary: Wonderful, a must-see for all young gay guys
Review: I first saw this film in the UK on terrestrial TV. I was deeply moved, and adored the story.

This moving tale of two young guys falling in love and lust, accented by the highly addictive tunes of Mama Cass (especially 'Dream a little Dream of Me') is one that you have to see. The naiivette of the two young actors comes through beautifully as realistic teen attitudes, and their lack of bias is refreshing to say the least. A wonderful film that shouldn't have an R rating, great to show to people to prove that there *is* such a thing as gay love. Show it to your parents, friends and lovers alike.
