Summary: A CLASSIC!!!
Review: I can't say enough about this movie. Some people might not "get it" though. There's nothing to get in my opinion. It's hysterical, and will be hailed a classic. If you loved Spinal Tap, then you should just kill yourself for having not seen this by now. I've been lucky enough to seen a bootleg "first cut" of this movie, and it was even funnier then the released version. WAY better. Let's hope for a DVD release...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Simply the best movie I've seen in my life.
Review: One cannot say that they have lived until they have feasted their eyes upon such a comedic masterpeice as "Waiting for Guffman." Never before has a movie been able to make me laugh so hard as this, and at the same time be as witty. There is not one person in the world who has seen this and not enjoyed it thouroughly. Buy it now!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hysterical!
Review: Watching "Waiting for Guffman" one time is not enough... It's an instant favorite and addictive! Be prepared to laugh every time you watch it. I would definitely recommend it for anyone high school age or older looking for a great comedy!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I have a testimony of this movie!
Review: It's a classic representation, not only of small town America but of small town community theatre! This is really how it is in the ugly trailer trash productions of "Brigadoon (Bridge of Doom)" and South Pacific (South Pathetic)". Full of heart but not so full of talent. If you haven't seen Chris Guest as Corky St. Clair you haven't lived.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Side Splitting laughter...a true spoof on theatre!
Review: It's great. It's enjoyable to anybody who has gone through the real audition process and knows what it's all about. This movie reminds you of how much passion should be involved in every performance and that even in the movies...it doesn't always go just as planned.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Spooff documentary of small town amateur dramatics group
Review: Mind blowingly original! Warm overview of the trials and tribulations of a talentless bunch of actors, desperate to reach the bright lights and big city (Broadway). You wish you knew them, you want the film to continue through their entire lives. This film encapsulates all that is pure in country life.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Guest needs to make more movies
Review: Christopher Guest needs more work produced! Hopefully, major Hollywood studios will translate more of his ideas into movies. His comedic genius in Spinal Tap has been reborn in Waiting For Guffman. Corky St. Clair et al are some of the funniest characters created this decade. If you like the modern-day "mockumentary", you'll love this movie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Mockumentary Will Leave You Rolling
Review: I saw this movie after the urging of my sister. I almost didn't see it because we barely agree on movies we like. However, I'm so glad I didn't miss this one! It was absolutely hilarious. Parker Posey as the mildly affected Dairy Queen worker will remind you of more than a few people you know. This movie is for ANYONE. Everyone will find someone they know or knew in this movie. It really captures the Midwest people's personas. No one should miss this movie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Awesome, just like my home town!!!
Review: I grew up in a small town in Missouri, and "Guffman" nails it. The museum curator, the 4th generation Blainite, the invented historical value - Stools for Fools!!!, and Guffman himself were all people from my childhood. This movie has become a family cult classic for this first generation Weston, Missourian!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: midwest? no, smalltown anywhere!
Review: Knowing that "waiting for guffman" was filmed in Lockhart Texas, I was totally convinced that it was SET in Texas. This film has a universal small town quirkiness that really is hilarious.
